  1. When in a sky suite in the past we have never been charged additional for any items that have been on the menu. Since the main dining rooms Opus, Cosmopolitan etc are now charging addition for lobster, surf and Turf all guests including Sky Suite guests must pay the additional. The only guests that are exempt from this additional charge are guests in upper suites.
  2. Chocolate bomb from Luminae 5 min ago. Top pic. Bottom picture is Chocolate bomb from Apex July 04 earlier this summer. I really hate to be pessimistic but it’s the truth.
  3. No, this is the Opus menu next door. I always ask to see the main dining room menus as there can be some good items. From our past experience we have always been able to order from the main dining room menu. Now if you are in a sky suite or celebrity suite you have to pay additional.
  4. Currently in Luminae, having a great dinner French onion soup from Opus, tuna tartare and the delicious veggie Lasagna. When I saw the menu for Opus noticed the additional charges for the items at the bottom of the menu. I asked if this was included for suite guest in Luminae and was told by our server that Sky Suite & Aqua Class & Sky suites must pay per pricing on Menu. Since we are in upper suite it is included.
  5. Yes we were told the exact same thing. I thought it was sky suites only but must be for celebrity suites too. I hope you are enjoying your cruise, we were in a Sky Suite on the Apex in June and really enjoyed the ship and the excellent crew.
  6. We are in reflection suite, having a great time, love the location, balcony. Food and staff are amazing have not really noticed any change other then a but disappointed we could not order from specialty restaurant to our suite. It’s really not a huge deal but was able to order on our past cruises when in upper suite. Again staff here is phenomenal, food and service is great. It would be great to hear feedback from clients that are in sky suites to see how these changes have affected their experience.
  7. Not sure how they will manage the 2nd lobster cut back? I was told today that yes sky suite guests have to pay for a 2nd lobster tail. Apparently there is an internal email of some sort with all of the changes…. Also heard in the future there will be no retreat manager. I can not guarantee all the reports are 100% accurate but have heard this directly from higher level staff aboard this ship. When I asked how celebrity determined what butlers remained it was based on seniority. I was also told that the butlers that were no longer required we moved to different departments such as customer service. They apparently were not moved to the operational staff as they fall under customer service….
  8. Nope, only room service menu. We are currently dining at the Lawn Club Grill (love it) and the staff were mentioning no room service from specialty restaurants to upper level suites as there are no more butlers to do the work. They did give a option to pick up and bring back ourselves.
  9. Smoked Salmon is better quality plus more options such as the French toast, Huveros Rancheros, crepes and the delicious dolce de leche croissant!
  10. Yes, never tried to order Luminae for breakfast to our room. We did appreciate being able to order from the specialty restaurants to our room after a long day when we didn’t feel up to getting dressed up and going out.
  11. Yes, we had the edge villa last august we really enjoyed Raw on Five, and Fine Cut Steakhouse in our room. Also if you want a 2nd lobster in Lumaine and in a Sky Suite it’s now a room charge. Time will tell what else is changing. It’s unfortunate these changes we not announced for seasoned and experienced clients that are expecting a certain level of service from their past cruises and loyality.
  12. We are currently on the Reflection in an upper level suite. We have sailed in upper suites before and know what has been included and what’s not. We just pushed off Olympia Greece, tired from the sun and was hoping to order dinner from Lawn Club Grill and enjoy on our balcony. Spoke to butler and this is no longer allowed for any suites. Only room service from Lumaine is available. Asked about other changes an also learnt Sky suites will not be stocked with alcohol. If you order alcohol to your Sky Suite or Aqua Sky Suite you will be charged per the room service menu. There are currently only 3 butlers on our ship that take care of Celebrity Suites and above. All the Sky suites are being taken care of by 2 Butlers from Michael’s Club. I confirmed that prior to this cruise there were 9 butlers in total, and have trimmed to 5, so they cut 4 total from the Solstice Class ships. We will be considering different options going forward as we typically cruise in Sky suites 80% of the time. With these changes considering the costs of a Sky Suite we will look elsewhere.
  13. Thank you for your recommendation. We dined at Murano last night. Loved it so much we are going back tonight. Such great service, very high end, loved the cheese options, food was delicious, loved the table side lobster, and all the desserts. Here is menu and what we had.
  14. We will also be cruising on the August 26th cruise and will be reaching out to the retreat team to book a few dinners at our favourite Eden!
  15. The reduction is strictly on Sky Suites and Aqua Sky Suites. The celebrity and suites above are not affected. Let’s see how this goes….
  16. Just boarded the Reflection today. In an upper suite. Speaking with our butler regarding the change in sky suites to a team vs individual butler has reduced the butlers on the edge class from 16 to 4 and on the solstice clears from 12 to 3. In my opinion the decision made was purely to reduce operational costs. How it will affect sky suite guests will be remain to be seen.
  17. Yes, I agree 100%. I always take the offer and either change sail dates or try to upgrade.
  18. We found Eden to be absolutely outstanding, the view at the aft was a added bonus on sail away!
  19. Is there a better Casino rewards program better then Blue Chip?
  20. Just got off the Summit at the end of July. My play was the same for the past 5 cruises we have done over the past year. I called today to see the offers before we embark on the Reflection on Monday and the best they could do was 20% off. We have had a fully Comped Sky Suite once in the past but usually an Aqua Class with all the perks. I am Sapphire and have played a lot but WOW Blue Chip club is really tightening up. I guess ships are sailing full so they don’t care. I may not even visit the Casino on our next cruise…. How has your recent experience been with the Blue Chip offers?
  21. Our best experiences have been. What’s yours? 1 Eden 2 Grand Bistro for lunch 3 Raw on five with seafood tower
