Yes, true. Blue Chip is really cutting back. All my past 12 fully comped cruises also came will basic drink package, wifi and tips. Now cruise only.

Thank you so much for taking so much time to really explain things. It’s been very frustrating after coming of the Apex on Saturday to understand how the new Blue Chip Club works. I do know my play has remained the same over the past 5 cruises and I always received concierge class and aqua class comped with all the perks, on this most recent cruise I only received a Oceanview. So they are clearly tightening the program. Thanks again for explaining how the new program works.

Yes. When I saw the host at her desk the last night of the cruise she said she can only go by what her computer showed her. She told me I should go and see what Pit Boss gave me the information. So I walked over and he was on his lunch. So I went back to the host and explained he was not there. She said not to worry she would speak to him when he gets back from his break and would update the play in the “system”. We left the Casino about 730pm and went back at 1030pm to follow up. We went to the host desk and she was not there. So walked to the cage, asked where Emily was and they replied the host desk is only opened from 7-10pm. So p’ed off. Just left, so done with this. I have been calling Blue Chip about this offer and they have no record of my play yet? Then you call back and get a different story. I called this morning and they said my play is loaded in the system but since I did not pay the deposit with future cruises I can not get upgraded to veranda stateroom. So confusing. They emailed me this new list of sailings showing if you book a cabin with future cruises on board you will get a veranda cabin. I explained when I went to see the host on my last nights cruise to evaluate my play I did not realize I needed to book on board to get veranda. Please see below. I am beyond confused and very frustrated.

Yep we got a comped sky suite and did a move up to a edge villa for $1700pp best deal ever!

I agree, it really ticked me off when they changed my hours and average bet on my play. Then I asked if they could comp something off my specialty dining charges and it was a flat out no.

I had the exact same question and emailed Blue Chip Club a few months ago. Here is their response. Thank you for reaching us at The Blue Chip Club. May I inform you that December 31, 2023 will be the last day to earn points for the current earning period. Whatever tier status you finish at this date, you will keep and maintain for 2024. But, very importantly, next year 2024 you will need to earn the same amount of points you finish with at the end of this year so you can maintain tier status for the year 2025. In example: You currently have 114,284 points and currently Sapphire. Next year you will remain as Sapphire, but next year 2024 you will need to earn 100,000 or more points so you wont drop tier level in 2025. I also just got off the Apex on Saturday, I did a fair amount of gambling. I had over 24 hours of time at the table. On day 5 the Pit Boss told me I had 21 hours of gambling and average bet was $120 per hand. The last night of the cruise I saw the casino host and she told me I had 14.2 hours of gambling and average bet was $80 per hand. Total BS. Really watch how they are tracking you, nothing like Vegas. I am done gambling on Celebrity accept when my $500 free play chips are gone. The Blue Chip Club has really changed, not for the better in my opinion.

Does anyone take advantage of the Blue Chip Club Tier benefits as shown below? I am currently Saphire and didn’t realize I had VIP lounge access(assuming this is the Retreat), priority embarkation, Casino Host events and concierge service. Not really sure what the last two even mean?

Yes, we were on the reflection in a signature suite in August and received the 2 bottles of liquor and unlimited specialty dining. Enjoy! We loved the signature suite.

Perks in Edge Villa were: -priority boarding was met by our butler and escorted on the ship -dedicated butler - 2 complimentary bottles of alcohol in suite - fruit and cheese platter delivered daily -monogrammed Retreat PJ’s -unlimited dry cleaning, pressing and laundry -mini fridge stocked with complimentary alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages - unlimited specialty complimentary specialty resteraunt dining If I missed anything I will let you know!
