Shore Excursions booked in advance get all of the correct discounts. Those booked onboard,,,, not so much.
Isn’t that odd. lol
funny how things unravel correctly.
it stayed on my NCL app to check back
nov 4th (125 days) to make dining reservations then magically at 120 days it opened up .

I am curious if you book your excursion ahead of time will it automatically give your your platinum discount (15%) or it something you ask for onboard? I know it takes the 50.00 off per cabin.

Didn't see any sign of a self-serve coffee station on the 10-day Breakaway cruise of the Mediterranean we just did in July. And I'm a wanderer at all hours, all decks.
We had a balcony cabin and our steward told us we could not get a coffee maker in our cabin. Many here said to ask, I did and nada. More likely because the cruise was totally booked, so they were all in use in the suites.
Your best bet for coffee is at O'Sheehans or Garden Cafe if you don't mind the hub-bub and noise.
Wow. I ask for a coffee pot first night this past January. I like to have coffee while i get ready. My husband likes coffee all day. Once we was on a ship and had a cabin real close to O’Sheehans and he would go get his own coffee there. Real handy. Last cruise with daughter she got her’s at Starbucks every morning.

I am onboard now and I don't see it, but maybe because of the weather? It is quite breezy out and it does not appear that most people packed for weather in the low 50's. I'll keep an eye out for it as we head back to NY.
It was only on deck 8. It was self serve and paper cups.
-
Irious if the breakaway has brought back the coffe on deck 8? It was on starboard side. The last two time we were on breakaway never saw it. We always book on deck 8 and enjoyed getting coffee there. It was in the waterfront fairly near front to mid ship .

If there are 4 people each with 2 specialty dining credits how do we book ahead of time in the app so we get to eat together at 2 different restaurants
You book for 4. They will take each persons room card and will be worked out at that time.
-
If you wait to book on board you may not like the times remaining. We are early dinner people so i book at one minute after midnight (Miami time). Fortunately i am sapphire so at 125 days i can book and get the time i want.

We live near New Orleans and Cozumel and costa maya is a walk in the park compared to New Orleans .

Was your scheduled arrival in port 8:00 am like the OP’s cruise? It may say 8:00 but out of approx 15 cruises out of New Orleans we arrived much earlier and they start clearing the ship by 7:303

Looking back at the schedule we had for the breakaway the first call for people with flights is color red at 8:15. I could swear you can leave earlier with a very early flight.
we have sailed out of New Orleans probably 15 times and debarking starts usually by 7:30-

We dock in Miami at 7.00am, can anyone tell me what the latest disembarkation time is when in the Haven please?
I don't fly home until 16.45, does anyone have any suggestions what to do with our luggage and spend a few hours before going to the airport?
Many Thanks

My wife and I will be on the breakaway this coming March for are honeymoon. Knowing this we will definitely plan on going to taste or savor, and the Asian restaurant for sure. Thanks again to all fellow cruisers!
I was on breakaway this past January . I checked into the Asian restaurant and found out people lined up early they fill the place up then start serving and they allow like an hour or so for the whole process (food brought out over time) I went and got in line one hour before they opened. While we were eating the next group was already in line.
so my point it is very popular. Also very good!

If you're Platinum you can book at 125 days. Also, if you read the rest of the thread, you'll see that I indicated there was a system upgrade this weekend and others were experiencing this issue post-upgrade...
I need to remember it is 125 days. We have been platinum for many many years. I should know better.
well a system upgrade while you are making reservations is not good. -
I have never had to wait to do our platinum reservation. For our January 2023 cruise I made all 4 reservation at 120 days (Breakaway). Sure hope I don’t have any issues for booking upcoming cruise.

I know we booked those type cabins twice . First time it was great. Love being so close to O’Sheenhans. Husband would go get coffee during the day.
the second time was another issue. I did write a letter and complain. There was someone outside our window 24/7 working on something. Had to keep curtain closed or come face to face with a man. No peaceful down time in cabin.
mother than seeing daylight thru the maze of lifeboats and a good location I will pass on booking again. -
We are not alcohol drinkers nor soda drinkers. We always remove the package for the liquor. So therefor we do not pay the gratuities for this. Just tell them to remove the whole liquor package and add the soda (if you want it) at a later date. Don’t try to do a substitute . Sometimes little things like that messes with simple minds.

My granddaughter and a boyfriend had a cruise booked. I was handling everything for her. They broke up and I called and was told we could make name changes up until like 3 days before the cruise. BTW she was already paid in full. Since they had a history of breakup/ makeup we didn’t make the change (for her mother) right away but made the change about a month before the cruise.
I know you really didn’t ask for all the details but I call BS on what they told you. Talk to someone else. -

Onboard there will be a desk set up for restaurant reservations and changes. It varies by ship (and sometimes be sailing), but it is always very clear where it is.
This is probably your best answer. Changes are sometimes difficult. We did that and they had to call the restaurant in question to get it approved. This would not be possible on the app or at kiosk.

If you remove your Aunt from your mother's reservation, NCL will charge a penalty on the reservaton, plus your mother's fare will be repriced on single supplement. Just have your Aunt be a no show. She should receive port fees and taxes back. If she ordered any items like shore excursions or spa, etc. cancel those.
This is best advice .
my husband decided he didn’t want to go on a cruise we had paid in full. I had help with the what to do. If I cancelled him even though we were paid in full I would of been charged more!! Remember we had already paid for two people . So a no show he got tips , taxes and port charges returned and basically I went for my fare and his.
it was a group cruise with family . We ALWAYS have insurance but he didn’t want to fly and so that didn’t come into play . -

they don't reprice with a penalty.
Yes they do. My husband decided not to go and my fare was going to be what we already paid (my fare and HIS) plus more!

Even hospital personnel are only required to isolate for 5 days. It is experiences like yours that causes people to keep quiet and do what they want.

I will be 1 day away from Sapphire on my next cruise which is 21 days but doubt I will be Sapphire until after we are back. I am going to check at the CN desk since it is booked as 3 different cruises. Won't hurt.
I made sapphire after last cruise. Am i missing something but i didn’t see any big perk over platinum.

O’Sheehan’s also has coffee

ues the location was probably at the whiskey bar. Also remember it was gone by an early time. It may be a hit or miss event.
