  1. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it on here and I'm not a smoker myself but I recall my friend freaking out over this so thought I'd give smokers a heads up.

Smoke before you get to the port. The ship will be fueling at that time and you CANNOT smoke ANYWHERE on the ship during fueling times. This is due to the new type of fuel it uses.

  2. Thanks for the replies. Didn't think think about the scratching and size for packing!

We've always done an interior room on Carnival and have always maxed at 3 people and space with our stuff was at a premium. This time tho we splurged on a balcony on Carnival so maybe we'll have a lil more storage? Guess we'll have to see!

  3. I know people always recommend using those shoe holder type over the door organizer. I never used one in the the cabin before but we have 4 girls going on one of my cruises coming up and was thinking of trying it. But I saw one that actually has storage shelving instead of sleeves and wondered if those hooks they have will work on the cabin doors or not? Has anyone tried these before and could comment?

We are considering using them for our trip in 70 days. I am looking at a few different companies for this.

I really liked how ours worked out. It was a private car and just me and my two friends. The driver stayed the entire time and when we were ready to leave drove us back. Heads up for anyone taking a ride to the resort tho, if you get car sick easy take some meds ahead of time. I felt very nauseous by the time I got there. But after I popped a pill was better.

I hope Ellusionz doesn't mind me jumping on this post as well and asking another question to those in the know.  Is there a difference in an excursion to 'Resort World" and "Beach 360' or is it the same place?

Googling shows it's the Beach Club of Resort World: https://www.rwbimini.com/dining/beach-club-360/

  6. I've never had an issue with reputable independent excursions people have recommended on CC and refunds so you should be fine. But I'm also just compiling a list of possible ports and waiting til last minute to book them to be safest.

And I understand thats why the made those changes (due to distance and stuff) but so frustrating.

  7. I've been watching the cruise itinerary changes to get an idea of what may be my port options for my future cruises, I know it changes day by day but I'm just a planner and like to have my options ready to go. I was just paying attention to my ships but was comparing notes to others of the same month and came up with a head scratcher. It's understandable if a port is changed due to weather or other issues like with covid. But what the heck... ships still sailing to Cozumel and Ochios Rios yet Horizon gets completely overhauled on its ports? I know its probably due to having to shift over ships around but come on, those should be the one stuck in the alternate ports!

  8. There's not much out there I've found to research on this port as I understand cruise ships just started going this past year. I know previous tourists took ferries or private boat from South Florida. But all I see is info on ship tour resort stuff. Other than the resorts what have people found good to do here? Nassau was our original port and we had planned to walk around and try out local food and get some yummy frozen drinks. Any suggestions on places to stop by? Would taking a taxi south of the port and walking back some of the way be feasible or are the locations further apart from each other?

My neighbor got a "Free" email offer from Carnival. He jumped on a "Suite" deal for some ridiculous price sailing in February 2022. Nice!!!

I did this one also, was $150pp plus the fees. Includes drinks on us in the casino.

  10. Nah don't feel bad, I'm the planner of the group and once I nag my friends into pre booking I get a kick out of just researching reviews, photos, menus and other options. Since we got about 5 months to go (and who knows what changes will be made by that time so even more researching goodyness...even researching the possible change options so I'm pre prepared for those routes!).

A few places didn't have enough shade (need it as a redhead) from the photos so I knocked those off. I Del Mar Latino as an option I'll be posting to my friends along with other places. Hemingway was on the list cause it def looked pretty and thought it might have some good food, but there was quite a few reviews that seemed legit and far apart from each other knocking the quality and taste.

My friends just like to ride whatever decision I make LOL. I of course take their desires into consideration (I love to try new things such as food and drinks) and they want to relax by the water with drinks (I personally hate the saltyness of the beach). So I just make sure to put a mix in of everything so we're all  happy.

The “sand” is a man-made beach area for the loungers. Access to ocean via steps, rocky for snorkeling.

We have been going to No Name for many years and used to enjoy a few hours  there - music and service were very good. Not sure if we are showing our age (quite possible!) but the last two visits my husband has said “do they call this music?”! Both times we have had a couple of beers and left.

No Name, has always been a predominately “crew” discount location, which we have had no objection to, but our last visit it seemed that service to general customers had definitely declined. It was very busy and it was very difficult to get served. Since “regular” prices are definitely tourist prices we have plenty of other options.

Sounds like you are younger and hope you enjoy! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the info! Also saw info about a place called Buccanos we may try instead. So many choices LOL

  12. Krazy Lobster offered $10 half hour massages... Tho hour massage was $25? Dunno if pricing was a bit off or they were just trying to draw in customers.

Either way it was awesome! Kinda hoping my next cruise subs one of the stops and sends us back there again.

When you say “water fun” at No Name do you mean pool, or snorkeling? Are you looking for somewhere lively or quiet places?

We used to be big fans of No Name but we after our last two  visits (we gave them a second chance), we have decided it is probably not the place for us anymore.

Can’t help with Wet Wendy’s or Thirsty Cougar, we haven’t been to either.

Just the pool, maybe a lil beachy if its usable I couldn't tell by the pictures. My friends love swim up bars

  14. We want to do something a lil diff than the normal beach clubs we've been to so we plan to hit No Name Bar for the water fun and some drinks. But I want to try some in town stuff too.

Between Wet Wendy's and Thirsty Cougar which do you prefer and why? Is food or drink options better at one or the other? Thanks for your tips!
