The beds are more comfortable. Couch is super firm. I believe most if not all rooms on exterior of ship (IE balcony, havana cabana, etc..) will have a couch that converts to bed. A few rooms will have one drop down to fit a fourth person, but if you have 3 people they may not allow you to book those rooms. Researched this for a while to figure it out 🙂 Luckily I have at least one of the four of us willing to make do with the couch bed so we can have a balcony!

We went to Infinity Bay Resort with Discover Roatan with a day pass. Amazing trip totally recommend it! So my weird request if anyone goes there and happens to be an aspiring cook and good at copying recipes... try the chips and salsa (the smoother tomato one not the chunky one) and give me a copy cat recipe. Or just ask them what the ingredients are and share it with me. I tried to get them to sell me some jars unsuccessfully LOL. This stuff reminds me of the salsa I got at Bennigans way before they closed down years ago. One of those foods you wish you could still have again in your life time. Appreciate any help anyone has for my weird request!

On hold right now and told I will have 1200$ penalty for trying to move my jan 15 cruise. She is checking because per their own website I should be able to cancel/rebook with FCC? Still under state of declared emergency.
Probably because you're past final payment date. If you're allowed to move after because of all the issues they just probably didn't fix it in the system yet. Hopefully it works out for you!

I was trying to call over the weekend and the phone system wasn't working for me at all, just hung up saying there was something wrong. But I found an alternative number to call, didn't have to wait on hold long, and they were able to help me with all my questions. It's their online support team, I picked the number for online help but didn't selection a number after (only option they give you is for excursions, don't pick it) and just let it dial on it's own at that point, it will put you in the que to speak to someone. Was on hold like 5-10 minutes tops.
(800) 845-2599
The number is on Carnival.com's Contact Us page if you want to confirm there.

Just successfully swapped from Legend to Horizon. Very easy with the pvp. I had my room on hold with a good deal I found that included an additional $50 OBC like the one I had booked for Legend. And he transferred the $600 OBC that was from the FCC (he did have to fix it but its there now, double check the booking email when you do this). I had already paid my portion of the cruise (there is four of us going) and that covered what would have been the deposit for this booking so I didn't have to put any money down.
Now if something happens and the cruise ends up cancelled we have alternative locations nearby and don't have to scramble last minute changing flights and such. Vacation will be saved! LOL

Carnival is awesome. I called about my hold and not being able to reach my PVP prolly due to their systems being down plus the holidays and they extended my hold another day (til Monday). He also said my PVP could talk to his manager? or some other name of boss about extending the special I put the hold under so the PVP could get the credit for my booking. And now I understand why I had to cancel previous holds (so he could get the booking credit, but wasn't issues before cause specials he found were on par or better than the hold at those times). If not, held booking could still be used and my FCC and OBC from FCC would be honored.
Hopefully that may help anyone else who had similar questions/issues in the future. Will add more if there's issues when I am able to do the change. Thanks to everyone who responded 🙂

We are currently booked on Legend out of Baltimore in May for a Bermuda cruise. With everything going on and how strict Bermuda is I'm afraid we'll be cancelled or stuck on a Bahamas cruise. Not that Bahama is a problem but paying for flight and hotel to do a Bahama cruise is a problem to me since I live in Central Florida and could do it cheaper local. So my group is considering swapping to do a cruise out of Miami, that way if something does happen we can reroute and still have a vacation during that time without too much hassle.
The question I have is if anyone has experience doing this with the FCC from past cruises from the Covid cancellations. My PVP said the rules are a bit more lax and we can swap with no penalties and the OBC would be transferred from the FCC. Has anyone else had issues with this? I'm just afraid if we change something gets messed up and we lose that money.
Also, a side question, my PVP has been a bit slower to respond than he usually is, and mentioned two days ago their systems were down so I had asked him to message me again when they were up. I have a cruise on hold but when I try mock booking again the deal I have on hold doesn't show any more. I know from past experiences when I had my PVP book it and I did that, I had to cancel held booking for him to book it. But then I would lose that deal since it isn't offered anymore right? Isn't there any other way for them to push that booking thru so I can keep my best pricing?
Thanks for any advice and information y'all have for me. Have a great holiday!

I'm so excited to be on the ship finally tomorrow! But I need to do some last minute shopping and I'm scared cause it's black friday..

I was mock booking for a party of 4 for the deal 72-HOUR UNWRAP FUN SALE (P3P) and kept getting this error: No rates available for the number of travelers and specials you selected. I even lowered to two people and got the same error, just silly.

In regards to the music they may have a list of what they are and aren't allowed to play. People complain too much about certain music sometimes. If I recall right they also theme their music nights if you check the calendar so what you requested may have not been part of that.

We are supposed to cruise May 2022 to Bermuda on Carnival Legend but am contemplating changing it to an Alaska cruise with everything going on. From my research I see they only had one ship scheduled in about a month to go there and I believe that has already been changed to Bermuda. I'm assuming due to the rules of 100% on ship having to be vaccinated and Carnival allowing 5% not.
I'm just wondering how long they will take to decide to change itenary for when they start again in May. I just don't want to be flying out to Baltimore when I can cruise local for much cheaper to those locations! Also don't want to wait too long to make a decision then rooms being booked full or being much more expensive.
What's y'alls opinions?

I booked via Discover Roatan and they had both options, plus transportation is included. They also had different add ons you could do (we picked the sloths and monkey tour)

wish they would save those at port testing slots for day of or day prior sign up. If you give people the option early it will be abused and people who NEED it (can't get testing cause their appointments are cancelled last minute or issue with home test kits) are screwed. Should do last minute sign ups and proof that you tried to take the test somewhere else.

Is this sailing the first return for Bermuda sailings? Is there a way to see when Carnival ships are scheduled to sail there, find out how soon they notify pax of changes, and what those changes are to?
I was told by my pvp that we could change ships with no penalty so we're debating doing that for our May 2022 cruise. We're holding out a bit but don't want to wait too long as the rooms that hold 4 people may sell out or become more expensive by that time for the alternatives we would swap to.

I may be a bit more particular than most but the idea of using a public snorkle anywhere much less a third would counry does not apeal to me in the lest. Yes, bring you own, it will be clean and fit better.
I prefer the lagoon feel of the snorkling area of West Bay Beach over the open water feel of Maya Key. Maya Key may well be far more quiet than West Bay and there will be NO local hawkers. Maya Key is heaps closer to Coxen Hole (the port) than is West Bay.
If you are a first time visitor, I reccommed West Bay, just because I think everyone should see it, ya know post card perfect and all that. If you have been to the island before OR if quiet is paramount over everthing else, Maya Key.
Infinty shares a propery line with Tabyana, it maybe worth while to run the math on Infinty plus cab fare with the Tabyana fees.
By the by ~ there are at least two places on West Bay Beach that offer day passes with transport at a very fair rate. If you are not stopping anywhere else ya might see what Paradise Bech Club and Bananarama feel like to you.
Discover Roatan where I booked my Infinity Bay tour includes transportation just FYI.

Is there a photo op on Bolt like that normally that we can buy? Was trying to figure out a way to get a friend to grab a picture of me if they didn't.

Similar situation happened to us about 3 years ago. There was a Hurricane, but our itinerary did not change until we hit the ocean on our 1st sea day. we were told Bermuda was flooded and without power, so we would be going to the Bahamas. Bermuda was much more expensive than a similar Bahamas cruise. I believe we were offered OBC, but it did not make up the difference. Near the end of the cruise, we found out the Hurricane never even hit Bermuda...
Yea this happened on our cruise too (luckily tho our cruise was to Bermuda local here in Florida). But that was a last minute thing. This tho.. they have time to plan darn it and let us know so we can make changes!

I would be pissed. I live in Deltona, Florida.. if I wanted to do a Bahamas cruise I'd cruise out locally. I'm flying to Baltimore in May 2022 for Bermuda. I hope they figure out what needs to be done to be able to do sail there and if not, notify us so we can have time to make necessary arrangements.

Just sent an email to them on Guy's website for pig and anchor. Lets see if they add au jus by the time I get on the ship 🙂

Does anyone have the Mardi Gras Fun Times for the other route it takes? Would the scheduling be the same (other than stops of course).

Bermuda does indeed allow for a proctored PCR test. It isn't a rapid Antigen test like the Binax that people are using for Carnival and Royal. Per Bermudian government the link below explains a test that is acceptable.
Whats the cost? I don't have costco so pricing doesn't show up for me.
-
I can never remember which tests are which... is that proctored home test acceptable for this or that a diff type?

I booked Infinity Bay and added the sloths tour via Discover Roatans website for the best price (there's also a coupon if you look closely at the webpage). It includes transportation, they also have an AI package. You can search their page for other resorts with similar packages and do the sloth add on if they have it.

Yea I'm silly and passed it when browsing the site, just was hoping for some confirmation on the crab legs now 🙂
Krazy Lobster
in Costa Maya
Posted
We just went in November. Stopped by Tropicante first to check it out due to reviews. We stayed there for a bit, it was nice. Then we wandered down to see Krazy Lobster (not a far walk at all). Krazy Lobster had $1 beers and $10 30min massages. Totally awesome. Both places were really good tho lots of beach hawkers. If you get pissed easily being bothered by them you may want to avoid this area.
