"That is nothing but a simple sticker..." No it requires a new room card.

Once I finally got on board I went to a bar and my room card was set for a basic package instead of the premium I paid for. I had to go to guest relations and wait in line to get it corrected.  A little later I tried to sign on to the  internet with the package I paid for and it wasn't shown. Back down to guest relations,  wait in line, get it corrected.  Even though I showed the confirmation email I had to pay again and they said they would issue me a credit. Things can only improve at this point. Believe it or not, I'm not normally a complainer. Hopefully I'm done complaining now.

Sorry, but this still sounds better than the day I had at work today....hope your vacation improves

  2. Yay! I've been itching for a good virtual vacation!

In 2001 my sister and I took our dad to Italy to see the town his dad left in 1902. We spent our last couple of nights in Amalfi with the intention of leaving there early on the day of our flight departure from Rome. It became apparent that early mornings there can be foggy so we ended up having to book a couple of rooms at the airport Hilton for our last night to avoid a white knuckle drive in the fog. Great hotel...was a little embarrassed when dad set off the metal detector at the airport with the bottle opener he'd lifted from the room. LOL

We also love the westbound transatlantic...so relaxing getting those hours back!

So enjoyed reading your trip report!  We will be sailing next August at exactly this same week!  Sounds like we have a lot to look forward to!  Thank you so much or taking the time to post this, and your pictures are fabulous!

Congratulations on your honeymoon!  We will celebrate our 40th Anniversary on the Solstice next August!

Congratulations on your upcoming 40th. We'll also be on the Solstice next August but not until the 28th.  This has been such a great read that I"m more than ready to go now!

Thank you! Congrats on your upcoming retirement!  Jeremy and I dream of the (sadly still far away) day when we retire and can spend our winters just hopping from cruise to cruise.  I’ll be sure to report in detail on how our excursions go.

Thank you! I still have to hold out until June 2020 but the light is finally at the end of the tunnel.....and many days I'm convinced its coming from the train heading straight for me. LOL

Our plan is to do a lot of last minute deal travel and also road trips in the US. (and maybe a part time job here and there to help pay for some of the travel 🤣)

Your retirement day will come.....just be sure to always use your vacation time in the mean time! I feel bad reading those stories about people that don't/can't use it.
