Still holding in at 25% for our Apr 21st TA.  We lose 6 hours on time changes.

When I was on Odyssey last month I came out ahead buying on board. I didn't buy until after midnight the second day then used my two C&A days and bought the rest of the days.

 

When I posted I thought I was on the Odyssey TA thread for  my  April cruise of this year. I am a D+

I am not sure how long the 25% off will last , I have in the past gotten 40% and 30% off.

To be fair, the sheet is pretty clear on what is allowed in the bag for that price.    Not getting on your friend.  Just don’t want others thinking this is common.  It was very clear to me that tee shirts were the only type of shirt allowed for the bag of laundry.  
 

Now why it matters as to the type of shirt, no idea.  I assume because polos don’t tend to do well and folks would complain and/demand royal pay for a ruined shirt. 

Not sure why they tried it, I guess they just either didn't read it or just thought they could get away with it.  Thank was back in the fill the plastic bag and tie the top closed days LOL, the paper bag seems to hold much more.

Just got home from a TA to Southampton England

about day 6 or 7 a bag was left on the bed for wash and fold special $34   being a D+  we get it free.

FWIW I got a bag and my wife got a bag , it is for each D+ in your stateroom .  It is limited to stuff like underware, PJ's, socks , tee shirts .    A diamond plus member friend put his polo shirts in and they got charged extra for those something like $17 each .

Just beware that your clothes are washed together in VERY HOT water.

There were lots of people wearing them on Anthem at the beginning of the month and I noticed the bar staff had handheld readers so you could keep them on your wrist to pay for things. 

 

 

We always had our card with us too.

Last year on the Anthem it was handy for the shows as you needed reservations then.

We just held out our wrist and they scanned.

Most worker etc never seen one. Guest Services didn't know how to program them, but we got them done at the Diamond Lounge

We use ours when we can ,  ours were free , I don't know if you can get them anymore.

Used ours since the early Quantum days.  

Plan on using them in 2 weeks

BTW I am unlocked Samsung Galaxy S23Ultra - using a Verizon Sim

No problem on 2  of 4 cruises taken in 2022

WhatsApp was useless for me on 2 cruises last year, it only works if the person you are calling and or texting has the same app.  None of my contacts use WhatApp.

I did 4 cruises last year the first 2 were on the Anthem zero problems 

no change in setting for the next 2 one on Celebrity one on the Wonder of the Seas TA

I could go to shore and go into a store that had wifi and use WiFi calling etc no problems

I have used WiFi calling for several years while cruising using a unlocked Samsung phones 

calls and text were not a problem.  While on the Wonder lines were long trying to get answers

I was told it will not work with AT&T sims and they were working on it, I use a Verizon 

On our Celebrity they flat out said it was not supported unless I used the app WHATSAPP  

So we downloaded it and I was asked to call someone to test it.  Test fail over and over , they asked to see my phone and checked my contacts , and I was told "OH your contacts need to also us the WHATSAPP  for it to work , they told me I should email people I needed to call to have them dl the app.

Now both lines states on their websites that you need the WHATSAPP to place calls  and receive text.

Celebrity refunded 40% of the money i paid for the plan.

WiFi is not the problem, its making phone calls with WiFi Calling

It worked last year then I have been hearing it was no longer supported .

Do you have or hear of any talk about WiFi calling ?

One important thing to remember don't way until last day to use your offer

Last year I took advance of a Hilton offer think it was for $75 back and the last day was Jan 1st 2022

We stayed at a Hilton Embessy Suites per cruise , I never got my $75  so I contacted Amex

they looked into the charge well their answer was the actual charge didn't post until Jan 2nd so they would not honor it.   My charge went in on a Dec 30th stay for a Dec 31st NYE cruise .   Allow a few days to be safe.

WhatsApp only works if the person you are calling has WhatApp  

Last year was the first time my WiFi calling didn't work in the Silhouette   

I went to the IT guys who were set up in the photo dept got in a LONG line  

We were told to download WhatsApp and I would be good to go 

Once loaded I was asked to call someone , I tried no luck 

Then they asked me if they had WhatsApp on their end, I said I had no idea

they told me it would show in my address book well 478 contacts and not one uses WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a Metta/Facebook app and lot of people just have nothing to do with Facebook anymore.

Yep mine was after the due date.   Nothing I could do about it anymore. 

Of course in my case there has been a price drop because of a Senior Rate that lowered the 

cruise by $314    BUT this is after Final Payment was made.
