Isn't December 31 only for Fla. Unless updated yesterday, Texas still states on Independence thru Aug. Requested a refund yesterday after I read December 31 but was told my sailing protocols for October have not been announced??? So confusing.
I get more confused with everything I read. We have a Nov 5th out of Baltimore and a Dec 31st out of NJ coming up. have to wait and see how it all plays out. The Nov 5th cruise has final payment coming up Aug 7th

Yes, the bartender in the SL on Oasis suggested I take some water, and since he works for RCI...was I was supposed to remind him of the rules? No, I graciously accepted and handed him a tip.
You have accused both Dave and I of "you can't pick and choose your rules". You are telling me I am no angel and calling Dave out for not being one for sure. But since you don't even know me and have never met me...nice to think you know me better than I do 😉 .
Since you are beating at us about "picking and choosing your rules" I assume you have never done that and would never think of doing that yourself .....soo.....that puts you into a choice of two camps:
1. Those that choose to follow the rules
2. Those that assume rules are not meant for you.
So...which are you?
Now isn't this interesting.

You were lucky. I have seen them refused. It is still a rule to take on just the allowed 12 bottles. I am a guest on their ship...I follow their house rules.
It wasn't that long ago that RCI finally let us take the water on at all...I don't want to see that go away.
I was talking about water.

You are allowed to take on a dozen (not a full case) of standard 17 ounce water or soda at embarkation. I go through that much bottled water in less than 3 days...run out in the middle of a one week cruise.
I have never had a problem taking a case .

Yes, Costco sell 40 bottles for $3. But I could not find Costco on any ship.
Can't win them all.
Take your own.

I am just delighted to hear about this September opening of Cape Liberty (even if it is fake news.....hope not!!!😁 😁 Like that piece of news about the port not opening all of 2022 or something that someone's 4th cousin's neighbor's brother in law's second cousin's baby sitter's husband heard at a meeting earlier on in the pandemic).
It is about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I never heard this news about the port not opening.
We like to drive into the area the day before and we stay at either the Hampton or the Hilton Place both owned by the same family , when I called they told me they no longer do the Stay/Park/Cruise
I asked why they said they have no info any any cruises at of Cape Liberty
I did call the Embassy Suites and they said about the same thing, I told them we are on a New Years Eve cruise out of there and they were surprised they have to get a OK to take the reservation. We should be good !

You may want to avoid cabin 7110
FBI Probing Baltimore Cruise Ship Death – CBS Baltimore (cbslocal.com)
7110 is a balcony cabin but it is close to 7100
Several years ago we were across the hall on the Brilliance of the Seas after a highly profile murder took place . We really didn't know what was going on but the crew was not allowed to talk about it of course it made ABC's 20/20 and still pops up with updates.

If these cabins are like the re-made ones on Grandeur, they have no balconies, but do have floor-to-ceiling window, and are adjacent to upper level of Centrum.
Enchantment was stretched a few years ago.
Yep there is no balcony but I can live with a window ever so often.
You mentioned the Grandeur , been on that too I just couldn't remember which one was stretched.
I seem to remember someone saying those new OV rooms on one of the were 200 SQ Feet.

I found an old deck plan and cabin 7100 and three others used to be the Crown and Anchor Study and the starboard side was the library. Enchantment did get extended but I don't think this part is in the added section.
For some reason I was thinking it was the Diamond Lounge , I am thinking the staterooms might be larger than others.

It has been so long since I have been out the Enchantment while looking at the layout today on deck 7 cabin 7100 or around there
I DON'T remember these cabins was the Enchantment the ship that was cut in half and expanded ?
I need to burn a FCC and have have a limited time
I can't find any info on 7100 if anyone knows anything about it please let me know

Just saw that you redeemed an FCC. If it’s a CWC or other non refundable FCC, that is where your penalty is coming from. Just prevents the system from issuing you a refund you aren’t eligible for.
Yes the FCC was $684.
No CWC
As of May 20th still no answer other than its being looking into.
Oh I was asked why the SAM turned it over to another SAM that is not in my area.

If you called to ask about the penalty, the cruise line personnel probably sent invoices to themselves when they were looking at it.
That could be, I am not able to order new guest or agent invoices now that I am retired. And as of yesterday still no reply other than it is being looked at.

If the final payment date was pushed back, due to covid, then the system won’t recognize that and will automatically use the original date. But the cruise line will honor the new penalty date. Keep all of your invoices for your records.
It was not pushed back at the time of the increases. Actually it was paid off before final.

I have seen FCC become listed as a cancelation fee. Basically if you cancel the FCC is not refundable and this was their way of identifying that.
I have a refundable booking with a cancellation fee that equals the FCC I applied to this booking. The deposit I made on a credit card is refundable but the FCC I applied later is not. If I cancel the FCC will be consumed by this cancellation fee leaving only my refundable deposit to be refunded.
At least that's the way customer service explained it to me.
There is a FCC on this cruise but it is $684

When you move a booking after final payment date the penalty will follow. That is the case, even if you do a lift and shift. Sometimes there are exceptions to that rule, but the booking system isn't advanced enough to print out exceptions.
Yes but this was all done before final payment.

I find it very odd that a TA would come on here and ask these questions.
He's the TA for his own booking. He can certainly call the cruiseline regardless of retired or not
And he has countless times .

I figured out A_C. 😄
Does the 05 Feb 2021 copy have a change fee listed?
Edit: The $1100 to $1300 change is explainable (triggered by L&S). Still don't know what change triggered the $900 (or $100/$200) to $1100 change. But based on the July 9, 2020 invoice (shows $1100) it happened on/prior to that date.
No Change fee
Allure April 24 Transatlantic canceled??
