Two of our table mates ordered coffee every night in the MDR and never had an issue with being served. Always had the coffee before the desert was served. Maybe the Magic had a better waitstaff.
-
On our cruise a couple of weeks ago on the Magic, a paper copy of the fun times was delivered daily to our room. We didn't ask for it. 4 of the 6 people in our dining group were handed paper menus at every meal without any attitude from the wait staff.

The casino comp was only for 1 person. She didn't have to purchase cheers but wanted to purchase it. The casino doesn't automatically comp both. You have to look at your offer.

I had drinks on us everywhere from the casino. Once onboard we had to go to guest services so they can make a note on the account. After about a 15 minute wait, my DW was able to order cheers at the atrium bar.

I think Carnival’s minimum amount required is $200 but I always just do $500. On your boarding pass it will say cash account on it and I only know at the Long Beach, Ca terminal, they will direct you to an agent that takes your cash, registers it and gives you a receipt. This is before you board the ship and only takes a few minutes.
I don’t know how other ports handle it.
$200 is the recommended amount. There is no minimum amount you have to add. You can add cash once onboard at the kiosk or guest services. Just be aware if you don't have enough cash on your account they may deny you service on board until you add more cash.

@Saint Greg a couple times you mentioned the internet was down and you were using AT&T. Was that while you were in port, or does the ship sail close enough to shore to be connected to a tower? I am doing Alaska next may and am curious.

I have done it also with no fees. If fact one time I didn't spin the slot machine and the casino host gave me a talking too because I avoided the fees that way.

Is there a limit to the $50 off? Do you have to prebook for the credit or can you get the credit if booked on board?

Following along. You trip reviews and excursion reviews are very helpful. We are doing our first Alaska cruise next May.

I come back to the break room and Chaka is standing there with the refrigerator open, and he's got a bottle of my personal hot sauce that I keep here. He had opened it and was sniffing the top and I guess he didn't get a good enough sense of it, so he LICKED the top of the container. I looked at him and said "what in the ____ are you doing?! That's my sauce!"... I'm already angry about the situation with this idiot already, and now THIS?... Who the hell licks the top of someone else's friggin hot sauce? This moron, that's who.
Now you have to throw everything out that you have in the refrigerator. Who knows what else he has done.

Well, if the other website can be believed, just read that this cruise is a group cruise for Houston Astros fans and rollercoaster enthusiasts.
No problem with the rollercoaster group but I can't go for that Astros group. I will be in Orioles gear 24/7.
Please walk around banging a trash can. IYKYK

when you set up their account you can select a daily limit. This can be done in the app once on board. I think you can also do this during the online check in process.

We have this same situation coming up. We will just board with our friends at a later time. At this point I don't feel the need to rush on board anymore.
-
You don't have to switch statements on board. When you check in online you can set up 2 different on board accounts with a person from 2 different rooms. No line at guest services.

@MeganGC1983 thanks again for taking us along. Will you be able to sleep on the plane? Have a safe flight.

I'd like to say I've been here since the beginning but I can produce a hall pass if necessary to explain my tardiness...
Roscoe, choose your words wisely, others are watching.

I coached youth baseball for 17 years and I was always tell the kids no swimming on game day. But no one cared because it was just a rec league. My middle son was on a select team where they took things more seriously. The coach should have known better.

Works the same as Cheers. I believe the price limit is $20. 15 drinks per day limit. Coffee is included.

a Lady on my Hawaii cruise a couple of years ago had to fill one out when she exceeded $ 10,000 charged from her sail and sign card.

Carnival has specific guidelines for bringing on a scooter.

@willdra Thanks for a great review. Your writing style and sense of humor are the best. You should write a book. You could call it "Everyday Musings by Willdra" I would be first in line to buy it.

On our last cruise it worked for the first 2 days and then stopped working. On our previous cruise it worked on my phone the whole time buy my niece's phone didn't work. I think Carnival is trying to close this loop hole.

You will not be able to request a table through the Hub app for all 14 if you all want to eat together. I believe you can select 10 or less in the app. The best thing to do is open your booking page and at the bottom there is a way to email those that are cruising with you to link you together. Once linked together all of the names will show up on the app. You can also search in the app by the persons name to add them to a reservation. We had 12 in our group and the 3 nights we all ate together I went down to the restaurant during brunch/breakfast and made a table request. They gave us a time to all be at the MDR. We did not have to book in the app.
