  1. Hi all quick qu re positioning cruise Rome - Abu Dhabi

Are the deals for RS likely to be different to normal

Eg are beverage pkges, internet and gratuities be likely to be included with the suite ?

Seems it may be classed similarly to

    a TA?

    Cheers and thanks

  2. Wow, that is wonderful! We cancelled a booking on another cruise line because we love Lumanie! How was Michael's Club on Infinity?

Super friendly and helpful staff . We didn’t spend too much time there but it is certainly a haven to enjoy a quiet catch up

  3. Going through the canal was fabulous, I thought there was much more to see than the Panama canal and quite a different experience because there are no locks.

The cultivated land and towns are all on one side for most of the way, the other side is just empty dessert.

thanks for your excellent review Julie. I note you refer to the cultivated land and towns on one side .. which side is that? We are also looking at Rome - Abu Dhabi direction so would like to be on the "best" side if possible

  4. Progressive trivia was definitely still

a thing on Infinity in January. A lot of fun and a way to meet new people as my husband doesn’t play and I teamed up with new folks.

  5. The blue zippered bag the OP referred to has gone the way of the leatherette card case. The new bag which the OP recieved has replaced the zippered bag. We are in a suite and received the new bag on both legs of this B2B.

We received this bag in an Infinity RS recently. Much preferred the other, which also had the little one inside

  7. If it is not too late, I strongly suggest that you stay away from Infinity. Just completed a 14-day South America & Antartica cruise and the ship is showing it's age. Lots of problems too with toilet vacuum system. However, their maintenance crew do a good job is fixing the problems quickly. Overall, Dining and Stateroom crew were great. I can't say the same for the officers.

I know that feelings about your cruise are running high however as posted above , we were on the journey immediately prior to yours and it was great. We loved the Infinity and her crew, officers were great and v friendly,

  8. Overall, our whole family enjoyed the cruise (8 of us across 3 generations), and really liked the Constellation. We have already booked for Jan 2019 on her, out of Singapore to Shanghai.

Fantastic news! We are recently off Infinity and now booked on Connie, cruise after yours, feb 3 to Singapore. Can’t wait!

  9. I'm not sure if the youtube videos really do him justice but I accept that PG can be an acquired taste. The first time, I went by myself to listen to and laugh AT this person I'd read all about on CC. I went back to the cabin in tears of laughter WITH him. Took my husband back the following evening, and we were in Michael's Club every night after. Those were the days.

He even sang "Tenterfield Saddler" and "I still call Australia home" for me ... and I'm from New Zealand.

  10. Early Feb. 2019 ... hmmm, well - Feb. 9 (Thursday) is the Lunar Chinese New Year's Day - a week-long + national holidays. Getting around - transportation is going to be challenging but for upscale hotel stays, not sure if it's affecting availability (IMHO, unlikely but I shall stand corrected) ... where a sizable segment of the country's working population take part in this annual migratory movement, jamming up airports, trains, buses & hitting the roads, ferries, etc.

Is 1 - 3 Feb. Will give it a go tonight, I was only looking on my phone the other day :-)
