Unless something has changed based on past posts that only applies to US & CA veterans and those from the UK, AU & NZ need to reapply each time.

It’s a great program started by former Princess president & CEO Alan Buckelew who is a Vietnam combat veteran:  “While at Princess, Buckelew has been instrumental in crafting special offers to honor our military, and cruises to honor service, such as “Cruising for a Cause,”

On the Oceania cruise board someone asked if that line offered discounts for military Vets.  They said Oceania did not, but that Princess does.  We have sailed on Princess many times and have never heard this.  Has anyone heard of this, used the discount, or know how much it is?  I would love it if they did.  Thanks in advance for any insight.

Princess offers OBC for vets.  Depending on cruise length.  We usually cruise 14 plus days and get $250 OBC.  NOT A BAD OFFER.  All You need to do is submit your DD 214 with the request form.  Once Princess accepts it you will get the appropriated OBC FOR ALL FUTURECRUIES.

Hello everyone, I have not used the Lotus Spa before and was planning on doing so for my upcoming Hawaiian cruise.

I was wondering what everyone's favorite spa treatment from Princess specifically. I have been in many spas but curious about what you like.

Also curious about if anyone has ever booked "Couples Arabian Clnse Rtul (50 Min)" can't find much about it at all.

    Thanks in advance!

We have booked couples hot stone message on several cruises.  So relaxing,  I usually fall asleep.

This is our first cruise with Princess, so this might be a dumb question but how can I add that cruise to My Princess account?  Every time I log into my "My Princess" account it doesn't show any upcoming cruises.. and I can't find anywhere that I can add a missing cruise.  I have to go into Cruise Personalizer and enter my name, birthdate and reservation number in order to see anything about our June 2020 Alaska cruise... We booked it on July 12, so it's been almost 2 weeks ago... Is there a way to add it or do I just need to keep doing it the way I have been?  Thanks!

We usually book our cruises while on board which give us obc.  We then tell the agent our TAS name and they make the transfer.  When we get home I contact our TA to make sure she get the reservation info.

You don't have to book while on the cruise but if you make a deposit of $100 per per you will get $ 100 obc each and you have two years to make a reservation

If you don't reserve in two years they will refund your full deposit.  A win win

Never cruised with Princess before but hope to book Alaska Cruise Tour for next summer.  I was wondering once you book a cruise with Princess, if the price goes down can you call and get the new price?  Also, is it better to book directly with the cruise line or through a travel agent?

You will need to cancel your current booking to get the new price change.  That may be good or bad depending on your current perks.

Before you change make sure the price drop benefits your situation, such as, how much OBC will you lose to gain the price drop.  If the price drop is more than you will lose in OBC, then it may be beneficial. Good luck

We are booking a 7 day out of SFO to Vancouver next year on the Star. We have never sailed on this ship. We are trying to decide between a premium aft (274 sf) on Caribe deck sailing 9/20, or a Mini-Suite on Dolphin deck sailing 9/20 or 10/4.. Pricing isn’t a huge difference.

I enjoy balcony time, and if weather permits breakfast is a treat outside. Aft views could be awesome, but extra space in mini-suite is also attractive.

I would really appreciate any insight and thoughts from those who may have sailed in both, or either. Thank you.

We sail the Star to Hawaii in a mini suite E723.

The Emerald Deck have the only cover mini suites, that provide privacy and cover in inclement weather.

Great location, easy access to decks 7 and 6

Considering Emerald Princess for Panama Canal cruise, wondering if  given weather hot humid, if a covered balcony would be a good idea?  We do not like hot/humid weather a lot.  Wondering if deck 15 balconies are covered?

Emerald Deck , deck 8 have covered Mini Suites.

$13.50 for balcony and below, $14.50 for mini suite, $15.50 for full suite.

  9. We are sailing on Star Princess round trip Hawaii for 15 nights

what do you like about Star Princess & what is it that you don't like

We look forward to reading your replies :p

    TIA

Tiki Dave and his wife. They provided great entertainment. Also mini suite e721. All shows were well done and worth the time to watch.

  10. greetings.

I've done some searching already on reviews for AFT mini suites on the Star, but haven't really found any answers to my questions.

We are currently booked on the STAR with a BALCONY CABIN DECK 10 MID AFT, but have an opportunity for a MINI SUITE on DECK 9 - AFT. I'm trying to decide whether to STAY where we are, or MOVE to a mini suite.

I was curious about any experiences you might have had with AFT MINI SUITE LOCATIONS, as to:

    noise

    vibration

    ship movement.

    Thanks

We sailed the Star last Nov to Hawaii. We were in stateroom Mini Suite E721. The best part of the mini suites on Deck 8, is they are covered. So you have total privacy for the decks above. All mini suites on Deck 9 are uncovered and everyone from the decks above look done on your balcony so i. e. No privacy.

Even though deck 8 mini suitemate located above the Vista lounge there is no noise that can be heard in the staterooms.

We are booked on the Caribbean Princess on Nov 25th in Mini Suite E721 simply because we enjoy sitting on the balcony having a cocktail, reading or just taking a nap in privacy.

    Hope this helps.

  11. 4 MB cat mini's changed to Club Class Minis.

One way to show princess our displeasure is to stop booking the outragious Club Class pricroni suites.

A mini suite is a mini suite, to pay $600 to $1500 dollars more per person just to get 2 half bottles of wine and select dinning room sitting is just ridiculous.

That's only my opinion, everyone has their own opinion concerning Club Class mini suites

  12. Has anyone taken the Hawaii cruise from LA? How rough are the seas going there

We did the 15 day Hawaiian Cruise from LA in Nov 2017. Great cruise, Seas were not bad at all. The temp was a little cool for the first day and a half, then you get into warmer waters. Also a little cool from Mexico back to LA.

Just bring along a sweet suit jacket and you'll be fine

  13. We are thinking about doing a 15 day cruise out LA or San Francisco to Hawaii...if I recall, it makes stops at 4 islands. I am looking for thoughts from anyone who has done this similar cruise. Did you enjoy the stops and all the sea days? We haven't cruised on Princess in awhile but do have done some 7 day and a 10 day cruise on the line. This past year we cruised on another cruise line out of New York City (convenient train ride for us) but didn't enjoy it as much as our cruises on Princess. Please feel free to share your likes and dislikes about this cruise. Thanks.

Done both SF Nov 2015 and LA Nov 2017. The Grand princess from SF and The Star Princess from LA.

Loved both, weather is a little warmer for LA. 4 Sea days to get to the islands. First stop Hawaii, 2nd Oahu, 3rd Kauai, 420th Maui.

All stop we great. 5 Sea days back to Ensenata Mexico, then back to USA.

    Great ships great cruise.

  14. Booked for the 49 day South American thing for February 2019. Have been wait listed for a Club Class cabin after booking a mid ship mini-suite. Has anyone tried the club class thing? Is it worth getting into one as compared to just a mini-suite? Have tried the mini -suite before and it was very good at the Regal.

IMHO, No. But that's only my opinion. Why would I pay 600 to 1500 dollars more for a mini suite.

I have always booked a mini suite but on deck 8 Aft. They are covered and provide shade and privacy. Also the Vista Lounge on deck 7 is not a concern for noise.

    But to each his own.

  15. We are considering a Panama Canal cruise on the Island Princess. I was all set to book my typical balcony stateroom location when it occurred to me that there are probably some balconies better suited for this cruise than others....and that I don't know what I don't know.

So I figured I would ask here where there are people in the know:

Is it better to be higher? Lower? Aft? Forward? Is there a better location to be in for a Panama Canal cruise?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jeff

Been on the Island Princess. Loved the Mini Suite B226. Besides your own balcony, you have access to the forward bow that can accommodate at least 25 people. Great views forward going thru the locks.

  16. Hi All,

Just wondering what length of cruise do you prefer ?

For us it's round 14 days, would loved to go longer but have family commitments.

Also would do a 3 or 4 day cruise ?

Yes 75 day pacific circle cruise is on the bucket list:D.

    Cheers Don

Usually 14 plus. This year 14 day circle caribbean, next year 28 day Hawaii and south Pacific. LA round trip Emerald Princess.

  17. I am not sure what ship you are referring to on all Grand Class ships I know about the Vista Lounge is on 7 not 8 and would affect deck 8 aft mini suites - also I do not believe that deck 8 has club class mini suites - if you book at the right time you can get the club class of a little more and get added perks. I booked on sip and sail for about the same price a club class is selling for now and have the premier beverage package for 20 days basically for free plus on specialty dinner and get the nice dining in club class (great service and extra menu options)

My mistake, we book mini suites on deck 8, and yes the are not the outrageously prices Club Class. However the provide privacy the deck 9 mini suites do not provide. I am referring to the Grand, Star, and Caribbean Princess. We have book deck 8 mini suites for years and have Never been effected by The deck 7 Vista Lounge. To each there own.

  18. Just got an email from Princess saying they upgraded our Mini Suite to Club class on the Grand to Hawaii next April at no extra charge. Nice! 👍🏼 It was one cabin over from the existing Club class staterooms. We had an upsell to Club class last year, but this time we don’t have to put out anymore money. I would never book Club class at regular rates. We did enjoy the perks last time, but not worth what they charge. But, we’ll enjoy our complimentary upgrade next year!

Beware, non of the mini suites on deck 9 have any privacy. All the balcony staterooms on deck 10 and above can look directly down on the deck 9 mini suites. That's one reason we always select deck 8 aft mini suites. They are covered providing privacy, shade, and if raining some protection. Also you don't get any noise from deck 8 Vista lounge.

  19. When viewing the deck plan for the Grand Princess on Princess.com, after selecting Grand, there is a window that says, "In order to present the correct deck plan, please tell us when you plan to sail:

"Sailing between now and April 07, 2018

    "Sailing after April 07, 2018"

Does anyone know what is going on here? Are deck plan changes happening on the Grand on April 7, 2018?

Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Forums mobile app

Most likely to strip more money from passagers by changing storeroom categories. Such as making some more OVER PRICRED mini suites called Club Class.

  20. It's not that tables aren't available or waiting to be cleared and reset.

    It's a Princess decision

It's either a lack of tableside staff - or - kitchen not being able to get the food out on a

    'timely basis'

just off the Regal, and saw this as we were leaving the mdr, plenty of set tables, 2 tops, 4, larger - and saw people getting beepers.

this was about 6:30 as we ate a very early dinner, for us, wanting to do a show at 7

Oh well, that's the chance you take with anytime dinning. If you do want to wait elect tradition dinning at a set time. Problem solved.

  21. Just found out about the Military benefit...$100 onboard credit for our next 7 day cruise...we are Platinum and could have had this all along...I assumed it was for active duty military but it's both veteran's and active duty!

Only Princess offers this Military OBC. if you cruise 14+day cruise the OBC is $250.00. The is great for all veterans. Thanks Princesd
