  1. Good Morning San Francisco! Cathy got these beautiful pictures at 0450.
  2. We picked the absolute perfect day to be here. The weather was perfect. We were on the Alcatraz and Sausalito excursion. We went to Alcatraz first. We took the ferry to the Rock. We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and had a photo stop. We were so lucky. Usually Fog! We had 1 hour of free time in Sausalito. We were back at 6:00.
  3. Hi Marc. No official announcement yet. Everyone says they can’t see us going through the Red Sea or Suez Canal. We will wait and be surprised.
  4. Toilets are not flushing in our room. We are on 9th floor. Off and on since this AM. Now OFF.
  5. The sail in was worth the price of the cruise. Simply spectacular! It’s a beautiful clear day. No Fog! Rocking the World Cruise jacket!
  6. Good Morning San Francisco! Golden Gate Bridge coming into view
  7. Good Morning Santa Barbara! Goodbye Santa Barbara 😢. The Captain came on about 0810 to say we are unable to tender due to high winds, rain and a high pressure system. We are very disappointed. We totally understand but we are still sad. Our granddaughters were so excited. We are now on our way to San Francisco. They will revise today’s schedule. We left San Diego late yesterday 1945. We were supposed to leave at 1800. We don’t know what caused the delay.
  8. Cathy and I did the Trolley Tour. It was nice. We had a very enjoyable guide Tiger. After almost 2 hours we got off in Old Town. We went to Cafe Coyote. It was pretty good. A Jalapeño Margarita was very good. Rain showers off and on. Seas are supposed to be a bit rough to Santa Barbara. We are praying we can tender tomorrow. It will be nice to see our family.
  9. Good Morning Rainy San Diego! Waiting for our tour to be called so we can proceed to Immigration in the Terminal.. slow process.
  10. Thank you Carolyn! Last night after dinner another surprise. Polo Shirt Today is cold and windy. Not many brave souls sitting outside for lunch. We played Bingo today and the Horizon Lounge was frigid! I saw a woman with a ski jacket and hat. I was envious!
  11. Hi @Gilly . Thanks for the article. Cathy has been following. We have not run out of wine but there are no bananas…unless you like them black. We have a sea day today before San Diego. We are back on PST. We arrive at 1000 and have to do a face to face with Customs and Immigration. And then the most exciting news is Jim hopefully gets his suitcase back from Luggage Forward!
  12. We decided to skip our excursion and tendered in. We had to go to the theater to get a tender ticket. We waited about 10 minutes. We are the only ship in port. Welcoming Committee We ate at Captain Tony’s Table side Guacamole The freshest fish tacos See how fresh! Local Ambience
  13. The dolphins are following me!
  14. We loved being with the dolphins. We were able to hug and pet them. We even danced with them. It was a great excursion.
  15. Oops. The mannequin greeted us upon our arrival!
  16. Good Morning Puerto Vallarta! Cathy and I did the Dolphin Encounter excursion. Jim passed. It was rather cool this morning. The bus had the AC cranked up. I covered up with the ships towel. Quite the fashion statement. We arrived at the facility in about 40 minutes…traffic. We did the free excursion. There were many people who did not bring bathing suits. Here is my $30 photo! WHOO HOO!
  17. Outside the Horizon Lounge we had the deck to ourselves! Beautiful weather and calm seas.
  18. Good Morning from the Pacific Ocean! Last night we had a Big Surprise! Yippppeeee!
  19. Good Night from the Pacific Ocean. We saw dolphins and whales! I got photos of lots of empty ocean.
  20. We had an Adventure! 30 of us were invited to tour the Grandeur. We left at 1:10 on a LOCAL bus. It has very tall steps and was difficult for some to board. We walked through the local Mercado. We finally made it to the ship. We were greeted by Daniela, who is now the cruise consultant. We boarded and were met by Captain Ari and GM Franck. We split in 2 groups. Atrium Compass Rose Pacific Rim Cherry Tree For me the Tree and Compass Rose are the most impressive. The 1 Million Dollar Faberge Egg Okay back through the Village to get to the bus. After jamming into the very narrow bus we are on our way. We are stopped at the security gate upon entering. Luckily, we have Eddie as our cruise consultant, who is from Argentina. He gets off the bus and speaks to the authorities. Holy Mary mother of God they want us to all depart the bus and go through security. We are at this checkpoint for at least 15 minutes in the heat. It is 93° with high humidity. Eddie tells us to stay on the bus. There are a few crew members on with us that must depart. They try to make one of the guests leave the bus. He is traveling with his aunt, and he’s much younger than the average world cruiser. We are all hot and sweaty but we make it back to the ship.
  21. Welcome to Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. It’s very hazy and smells like there was a recent fire or burning.
