Last night we had another wonderful evening at Sette Mari. That beautiful moon kept us all entranced! At first it was orange and played Peek-A-Boo behind the clouds. We were lucky enough to get a photo with the extremely popular Alberto!

Good Morning! This beautiful moon has been adding so much joy to our voyage. We ate in Chartreuse last night and were seated at the back of the restaurant. The moon escaped from the clouds and lit up the night sky. The restaurant has darkened windows so picture taking is not possible. It was breathtaking! Steak Tartare Duck Lemon Bavarian Cream with Berries The food and service were excellent. The best of the cruise. Internet was very iffy yesterday.

Yes, it’s true there are no more paper cups. Maybe you could bring 2 lidded mugs from home. I was going to bring my Hydro Flask but forgot it.

Good Morning! The moon setting this morning. It was beautiful! Even though the internet has been questionable at times photos have loaded very quickly.

Starlink has not been installed on Splendor. We were told today that it would be updated by the summer. Before dinner we went to the 6:00 show featuring Lisa Marie Holmes. She is Fantastic! We hardly ever see the entertainment. I would pay to see her. She sang female icons. She started with The Way Were. She and her husband sang Shallow by Lady Gaga. Both superb! I think @pingpong1 is following us! We also ate at Pacific Rim tonight. It was excellent. I again had the sashimi and steak. Only new item was the Miso soup with shrimp. Yummy! Soup Clocks go back another hour tonight.

I tried a Cronut. I didn’t like it. Crepes were only sweet. No savory. Chocolate fountain. Drinks

The brunch was very nice. We got there 15 minutes after it opened. No lines. Not many people. Prime Rib Shrimp Mussels Sushi

We had another wonderful dinner in Sette Mari but the best part was this! We sat outside and enjoyed this beautiful view. Tomorrow is the Grand Brunch.

Good Morning Santa Cruz De La Palma. Canary Islands!

As expected Compass Rose was slammed last night. We arrived at 6:15 and they were already half full. By 7:30 the staff were practically sprinting to complete orders. They appeared to have extra staff but struggled to catch up. One example is our desserts were served without silverware. We waited a few minutes before we could get someone’s attention. Compass Rose will open early at 6:00pm to accommodate all the turkey dinners. Turkey dinners will also be available in all the specialty restaurants.

Yesterday the Italian Buffet on the pool deck was very good. I didn’t take pictures but most everything was delicious. Peppers and onions, grilled veggies, lasagna, meats, fish and very fresh pizzas. Yayyy! I had the pleasure of meeting @pingpong1. I was skipping out of the Captain’s Welcome party in favor of the Casino. He was going to the party and will report back. Cathy and I got to Sette Mari before opening and joined the line. They were almost full by 6:45. Spaghetti Carbanara…Delicious! Lamb Chops…Best lamb on the ship!

Cathy and I had planned to go to Sette Mari last night but it wasn’t to be. We had to change our room in Barcelona. We put our valuables in the new safe. When we tried to open it for our casino funds (thinking of you pingpong)we were met with failure. Half open half closed. Our butler called security and said they would be right there. Security didn’t show because they were waiting for the 7 passengers who were delayed. That was why we were late leaving the port. By time we got to Sette Mari a 1 hour wait. Compass Rose was also crowded. We both had the Black Mussels. No pictures too hungry. I had the Veal Piccata over Polenta Kahlua soufflé

Yesterday there were 168 in transit guests. We chose the 0850 excursion Barcelona Neighborhoods. I would highly recommend this excursion. We were lucky that there were only 16 guests and 2 guides. So we split into two groups of eight. We had a scenic tour of Barcelona. Unfortunately there was a fire at a downtown factory Saturday. Smoke lingered in the air. We stopped at 2 local markets. We had cappuccino at the first stop. Beautiful Produce Lots of the world famous ham We walked around a quaint neighborhood and visited the local church. Then we all met for tapas. Russian salad…potato salad Papas Bravas We were back on the ship about 1345. A good day.
