  1. The flight was pretty good. When we were seated they gave us fabulous menus only to take them away 15 minutes later. I think mine had drool on it. They were replaced with very standard fare. Quite a disappointment. The flight crew were courteous but not overly friendly. The seats did lie flat. They were a bit thin. But perfectly acceptable. They transferred us by bus to the Westin Excelsior it was an hour drive. They said there are 190 Regent guests. Luckily our room was ready. We are on the first floor. Our room We are going to walk around so we don’t fall asleep. Crisy
  2. Good afternoon all. My sister Cathy and I are at LAX awaiting our 1525 LA to Rome flight on ITA. We have low expectations from the airline after reading the reviews. We chose it because it is the only nonstop from LA. We are in the Korean Air lounge. It’s like a ghost town in here. We snacked on fried rice and chicken wings. It was perfectly acceptable. Only Beringer wine. No Sauvignon Blanc only Chardonnay. No thank you. Bathroom is nice. If you have any questions please let me know. If anyone else on this sailing wants to contribute they are very welcome. We should be arriving around noonish Sunday afternoon. We are staying at the Westin Excelsior. The recent reviews have not been too pleasing. Hopefully both air and hotel will exceed expectations. Crisy
  3. The third and fourth guest receive the included free excursions.
  4. Get off the ship and have a very excellent fresh coconut water. They husk it in front of you.
  5. In our experience both airports were fast and efficient. No problem at all with medications and my husband carries a small pharmacy.
  6. Mr. Fudge. I think I speak for everyone…We have missed you. Welcome back! You are hysterical.
  7. Thank you for the great pictures. This is one of my favorite ports. I was sorry we missed it last month on the Navigator.
  8. A resurrection of Flossies wonderful cruising memories. Here we are on the last night after dining in Compass Rose. The excellent selfie taker is Gilbert, the Compass Rose manager/maître d’. A fun time for sure! A very happy and cohesive crew! Andrew is the server on the right. He is excellent. Rey is on the left. Also excellent. Susan AKA Flossie is dressed to perfection yet again. David is doing quite well to keep up! We had a great time and hope we see them soon!
  9. Airfare is not included. You can use Regent air or do your own.
  10. Holy Smokes! I bet you were shocked to find that delicacy waiting for you! I agree with Marc…call the HK manager. You are not a guest at a Motel 6. I see you have my favorite channel on the TV. The black mussels are excellent. I hope you enjoy your cruise.
  11. I think the cost is about 60% less. Maybe with 2 people 70% less. What a bargain! But if you use Regent’s air and hotel more cost. I believe they charge $350 for Europe and $150 for US. The transfers to the port are included with hotel.
  12. The guests in the second bedroom pay at a reduced rate. Their airfare is also added on to the price. They also pay for the pre cruise hotel. My sister travels with us. We just got back from the Navigator, Copenhagen to Amsterdam. The cost for the Marriott was $350. Guests 3 and 4 receive all the benefits of the suite. We always dine together. I don’t know what they would say if you wanted each couple to eat in a different specialty restaurant. They would like to know, if possible the night before, so they can reserve the restaurant you would prefer. Not much choice on the Navigator. We ate at Prime Seven twice for a 20 day cruise. You get a complementary Caviar service. The caviar is for 2 but they give extra servings of all the accompaniments. They also include dinner with a senior officer. We were lucky enough to dine with Michael the GM. He’s a great guy! We never use the included gym consultation. I would think that would be just for two guests. They only give us one bottle of champagne. If you have any specific questions, let me know. Crisy
  13. Hi Welshfamily. Omg I had a good laugh about your Prime 7 rub down! Thank goodness for your wonderful sense of humor. We are in the KLM lounge now in Amsterdam waiting for our flight home to LAX. Traveling is hard work! Thankfully we did not have the long walk like Flossie and Mr. Flossie.
  14. Now back home, unpacked and wondering which bartender will be making our drinks this evening. That would be me. I’m on it!
  15. Debarkation was a breeze! Amsterdam is so beautiful.
  16. Hi Marne. No the walking was minimal. Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. We were walking our butts off on our tour of Lubeck. 9,000 steps! Beautiful city. Marzipan Cake. The city specialty
  17. We took a boat ride on Lake Alster. A man made lake formed by damming the River Alster. Gorgeous lake estates
  18. We had an afternoon tour of Hamburg by land and sea. It was a warm humid day with occasional showers. We were shown Hamburgs highlights-even the Red Light area, the city is quite large. It is Europes third busiest harbor. There are 3 cruise terminals in Hamburg. We were in Altona, a bit far from city center.
  19. No internet this morning. It’s working great now.
  20. We had a tour of the city and then went to Edinburgh Castle. We had a great guide, Christine, who thankfully was very easy to understand. We had an 0745 tour so when we left the Castle at 1120 I was shocked to see how the crowds had multiplied! We were lucky, no rain and very comfortable temperatures. Castle
