  1. It skipped Grand Cayman and is headed to Cartagena. Bad thunderstorms and wind gusting in excess of 30 kn.
  2. Greetings from Serenity. For those interested in such things there are 507 passengers aboard this cruise. I will post a comprehensive review when I return.
  3. I’m an old guy and and my memory is not what it what it used to be. I could have been on the Symphony and not the Serenity. Does the Symphony currently have ballroom dancing in the Starlight Lounge?
  4. Keith, Since you are the keeper of knowledge of all things Crystal, is there a way to email the Cruise Director? Thanks.
  5. Keith, Perhaps it was prior to 2018, but my (now) wife and I,who were not together at that time, both had taken several Crystal cruises and specifically remember dancing in the Stardust lounge. In any event, I will certainly, and politely, use my best efforts to convince the cruise director to move the ballroom dancing to the Stardust lounge, which is the least Crystal can do since it eliminated the quartet in favor of a duo.
  6. Thanks, Rob. To those currently on board the Serenity who is the cruise Director? Thank you.
  7. In reviewing the Reflections, kindly posted by Seasack, it appears that all of the ballroom dancing is in the Palm Court, and not in the Stardust lounge as in Crystal’s prior incarnation. In addition, it appears that ballroom dancing is only available before dinner. In its prior incarnation, Crystal provided ballroom dancing before dinner and after the show, and in the Stardust lounge. The dance floor in the Palm Court is inadequate for ballroom dancing, and it is not possible to do a waltz, foxtrot, or tango on such a small floor. One of the primary reasons we have chosen Crystal as our go-to cruise line in this segment is the ballroom dancing and the Palm Court is a woefully inadequate venue for that endeavor. I truly hope that I am missing something in my reading of the reflections or that Crystal administration reads this post and brings ballroom dancing back to the Stardust lounge before dinner and after the show.
  8. Good evening, I saw a recent post from a Symphony passenger that the pool was too cold, the hot tubs too hot, and most of the jets in the hot tubs were inoperable. Would someone who is, or has recently been, on the Serenity comment on the state of the pool and hot tubs. Thank you.
  9. Good afternoon, Do any of the Sky Suite bathrooms on the Beyond have only a shower and not a tub/shower combination as the photo on the website shows? Thank you.
  10. I was on the Regent in March for a 7 day Caribbean cruise (A mistake I will never make again) and, according to the staff, there were approximately 50 kids on board, most under 12. At least 10 were awful throughout the cruise, screaming, yelling, doing cannonballs in the pool, and were so misbehaved that the cruise director had to ask the families to control their kids on several occasions. I realize that it was unwise to book a 7 day Caribbean cruise during spring break so I blame myself.
  11. If there is a white party is it listed in the itinerary like "casual" and "black tie optional" is listed?
  12. Ter, Have you been on the Serenity in the past several months? You seem to be the dancing maven!
  13. Good evening, When and where is there dancing on the Splendor? In whatever locations there is dancing, can the dance floors accommodate more than about 10 people? Thank you.
  14. This is the issue with Regent and Seabourn also, both of which I have sailed on numerous times recently. To the musicians its as if there was no music created after 1985. It's all hustle all the time. The only hope is that there is a DJ that has music files from this century!! I leave the same complaints on the comment cards every time. On a different front, My mission on my upcoming Crystal cruise is to do whatever it takes to get the cruise director to have ballroom music, even if its only a DJ, in the Stardust Club as often as possible like it was "back in the day." By the second day I'm certain that he or she will hide in his or her office when they see me coming!!
  15. Hi Keith, Really happy to see that Crystal remains a superior product. Looking at the copies of Reflections you have posted (thanks for that) I do not see any activities in the Stardust Club. Is it being utilized for anything other than the supper club? Thanks
  16. Hello, Would someone who has been on the Serenity during the last few months please advise as to where and when ballroom dancing was offered. Thank you.
  17. That's interesting, because two Youtube videos of the suites taken with the last year show a combination whirlpool tub/shower with a shower curtain.
  18. Hello, Do all of the bathrooms in the Queens Grille suites have bathtubs with shower curtains? If not, which cabins have showers only with doors? Also, are breakfast, lunch and dinner all served in the Queens Grille restaurant? Thank you.
  19. Is the Supper Club only on the Serenity or is it on both ships? Thanks.
  20. Was Tracie in the Rumba (Béseme Mucho) vídeo?
  21. Someone in an alternate forum just posted a video of ballroom dancing on the Symphony. Dancing was to music by a DJ. If anyone has seen the video, please tell me the venue of the dancing. Thank you.
  22. This is my quest, to follow that star............ Happy Holidays to you also! Hope to meet you onboard someday!
  23. I apologize for starting a firestorm...lol. Perhaps Patty is correct and in my dotage I simply have the names of the venues confused. Therefore, my quixotic mission will be to have the after-dinner dancing moved to the Starlite Club.
  24. I didn’t start sailing on Crystal until 2016 so it was far more recent !
  25. What hotels in San Juan does Regent use for the pre-cruise hotel night? Thank you.
