  1. I was just browsing the drink menus on Prof Cruise, and I didn't see Fosters as a beer option on any of the menus. Has anyone seen Fosters on their recent cruises? It's a favorite of my hubby! Thank you for the 411!
  2. I was looking to book this cruise and it is no longer available (October 12th, 2024 was the date). Does anyone know what the Panorama will be doing instead? We are booked on the pre-dry dock in August going from LA to Tokyo. Thank you for the 411!
  3. Then I think I'll call the shuttle bus a "paid excursion" as well. 🙂
  4. Are you allowed to walk off the ship into town, or are you required to pay for a shuttle to leave the ship?
  5. We're sailing with 4 people in our small cabin, and I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of how the third and fourth beds are set up on the Diamond Princess? Specifically, two drop downs from the ceiling, a couch and a single drop down, or a couch and a roll away? So many possibilities! Thank you in advance for your 411!
  6. Great question - the reason is that I plan on using some of the OBC that was given to us by HAL and our travel agent when we get on board towards gratuities, but it isn't enough to cover all of them and I can't access those until we are actually on the ship. And this way we are saving 10% because of the AARP value gift cards. 🙂
  7. I have a AARP giftcard that I used to purchase Shipboard credit for my upcoming cruise. I was thinking about buying another giftcard so that all of my gratuities could be covered once I board. Before I buy another $500 of shipboard credit, I just wanted to verify that I could use this for gratuities. I would hate to buy the shipboard credit and then NOT be able to use it for gratuities. Thank you for your knowledge!
  8. My husband and I are excited to try Celebrity. We are Elite, thanks to our Royal cruises. My question - what is your favorite Elite Happy Hour drink off the the HH menu? We don't have a package, but are looking forward to any tips or tricks to maximize our free drinks!
  9. First Celebrity cruise, I know that each person can bring on 2 bottles of wine on a 7 day cruise. We don't have the drink package, so I just wanted to clarify if this means we can bring on 8 bottles total for a B2B? That seems crazy!!! Thank you for the 411!!
  10. Hi everyone! I have a 24 hour hold on a Solstice sailing with my travel agent. I asked them how it was charged, and they said that the charge goes directly through Celebrity, and will show up that way on my credit card bill. Will this offer (which I have added to my AmEx card already) work if I pay through my travel agent? I ask because they are offering an additional $200 on board credit that the celebrity website is not offering for my cabin. Thank you SO much for any information!
  11. That is all.... awesome and a step that will make cruising a vacation that is obtainable!!!
  12. I have cellular and data in Mexico, but need to submit a few assignments and attend a zoom meeting on 2 of the sea days while on the Panorama out of Long Beach. I definitely don't want to prepay for the entire week at $14.45 per day for my 7 day cruise. Has anyone purchased a single day pass on their cruise? If so, how much did the single day cost? Thank you SO much for your 411!!
  13. We are currently driving to LAX for our flight tomorrow morning to Vancouver! We’ve completed our VeriFLY, ArriveCAN, and checked in to our flight with negative Covid tests in hand. We’re very excited, but still a bit worried after another cruiser posted that only 17 out of 33 on their land portion tested negative and were able to join the southbound NA. So, fingers crossed!!
  14. Personally, we don’t mind taking a test every day if it means that we can travel again!! My daughter attends UCLA, and they test twice weekly. Quick and easy. My only concern is what are the steps put in place if we test positive in a remote area, such as Dawson or Denali? It will definitely be an adventure!!
  15. I totally agree! I'm just glad that I only have to pay for 2 of the 5! I'm so excited that we finally get to cruise and travel again!
  16. We are leaving on the 26th! So far, on our 19 day, testing looks to be the following: 1) Pre-cruise covid test for the 3 day cruise from Vancouver to Skagway 2) On the cruise, covid test before the land portion of the cruise, Skagway to Dawson 3) In Dawson, pre-flight to Fairbanks covid test 4) In Anchorage, pre-cruise covid test for the Whittier to Vancouver sailing 5) On our own, test to return to the US after the cruise. Phew!! I have no idea what will happen at any of these points in time if one of us tests positive!
