Looks like we are getting 'bumped' to Grand Turk...since I have never been there is it walkable to a nice clean safe beach?
Yes, after coming off the pier, take a left. If you go a little further you will see Jack's Shack. It's a bar/ restaurant with great jerk chicken.

We have always stayed at the beach, a lot closer to the ship. The trip to the beaches is 45 minutes or longer depending on the traffic.

I have always used SAS http://ridesas.com/
They have a list of hotels that they will pick you up from.

Thank you for taking the time to post your cruise review & thanks for all of the pictures.

Thanks for doing this report. My GF and I were booked on this cruise but I had to cancel because of my second back surgery in October. I had booked this cruise for Trinidad and Tobago, I had been to all of the other stops. We are also D+.. Waiting to read about these two ports & see the pictures. We could have been in Barbados today, at least where we are in Illinois, it's finally suppose to get above freezing today. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

seem right I did the same for our trip in March. I would love to hear back on your day. Are you going to take a cab? I trying to figure out the cost of a cab to the resort.
hope you have a great time
Danielle
You could also take the #10 Jitney Bus there for $1.25 per person.

It’s nice to hear a review from someone on the “other side”. I’ve always considered trying other lines but I like carnival and am scared I won’t like the other lines as much.
I mainly do Royal cruises but I have been on Norwegian, Princess, Celebrity, MSC a 3 Carnival. It doesn't hurt to try other lines.

We got 2 on one cruise, but it was the final sailing of the Monarch, trying to clean house I guess.

Short walk from the port.
It hasn’t changed, every vendor sells the same stuff, trinkets and souvenirs for first-time visitors…
There are 2 sisters that sell their own paintings. I have bought a few of them.

Always take the lids off for them if they will use your cup.

Can it still be your favorite when it has been turned into beer cans and hub caps?
The last I heard, she didn't get scrapped.

Unless it is a military ship, or a private yacht, I would say never.
I served on an US aircraft carrier, I saw a lot of aircraft taking off and landing.

Celebrity and even 1-2 other lines have stopped at Royal Private Islands in the past
A few years ago Carnival was stopping there, they called it Little Stirrup Cay. Even the Coco Cay main sign flipped to cover the Coco name & show the Stirrup side.

Whenever I am about to qualify for a new block, I book a cruise on a ship that I don't already have that ship. I am still waiting for my Jan. 2023 block for hitting 350.
-
I have seen bottles of wine sold from bars before.
-
Remember that there is a large group of people waiting to get on the ship.

Pre- cruise Miami or Fort Lauderdale?
in Florida Departures
Posted
We prefer staying in the Ft. Lauderdale area, then use SAS to pick us up at our hotel for the drive to the port.
