Not sure if this is a possibility for you, but, we're on the 8/28 and 9/3 cruises and so far Bonaire is still on the agenda.

After I booked my cruises I noticed that I had 2 medical appointments with the VA during that time so I rescheduled them. Plus with all of the other cancellations due to COVID, I just want to get back out to sea. Being retired, all days are pretty much free, thanks for the suggestion.

Yup. The 4 drinks plus the happy hour are more than we needed. The "sale" for our upcoming Allure 6 night in May , same one we took in Februaury, is 12 dollars more per day than it was 2 months ago. Crazy.

I have read on other CC threads that those happy hour drinks now count against your 4 drinks.

We just got off the Scarlet Lady on Wednesday, and my wife and I loved it (both in our early to mid 40's, though).

The food was probably the best we've had on any cruise ship/line so far, and the fact all the restaurants are included is great. We found a lot of places to hang out and chill, having said that, this cruise for us was all about relaxing, eating and drinking.

We found most of the typical cruise areas to be small... the pool has already been described pretty much as a postage stamp, but also the thermal suite/spa area seemed cramped if more than 3 couples were in it... the casino was very small, though it was also pretty empty at current capacity.

Some of the shows were really impressive (Duel Reality, unnameddancepartything), others were not for us... though lately I even struggle with most other cruise shows that require me to sit for 60 minutes watching people dance on stage.

We found a lot of it refreshing, and are very likely to do it again... at the same time, my next 3 currently booked sailings are on RCL... part of it is because of home port convenience, but also because when we want to go with our kids, that's our preferred option and those ships have a LOT more stuff for us to do (Slides, surfy-thing, etc)...

Hope this helps, and if you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

    Mike

My son and daughter-in-law just got off the same sailing that you were on, they had a good time & enjoyed the cruise.

Wait, What? Wait time between drinks? I have never heard of or experienced this. When our drinks are empty, they are right there filling them up....When does the wait time between drinks happen?

From the time that you ordered your last drink until you order your next one

Visit Philadelphia, or if driving through on I-95, look towards the Delaware as you cross the Schuylkill River.

    See the ships

Is your child obsessed with ships? The Navy Yard is one of three Naval Inactive Ship Maintenance Facilities owned by the US Navy, where inactive ships are docked until further instruction. Walk along the side-walked perimeter of the Yard to discover multiple decommissioned ships, including aircraft carriers USS John F. Kennedy and USS Forrestal! Or, head straight to the Reserve Basin and make a game of counting the number of naval ships in the bay.

That must have been a few years ago, the Forrestal was towed to be scrapped in 2014, I served on her sister ship USS Saratoga. Both were scrapped in Brownsville, Tx. The JFK is also slated to be scrapped.

The Grandeur sails from Barbados. The cruise includes my favorite island St. Lucia and 5 more I have never been to., or heard of quite frankly other than Grenada and that was when the Brits were taking it back.  Any opinions on whether they are worth stopping at ?

    Trinidad

    Tobago

    Roseau, Dominica

    St. Vincent

    Grenada

    Your ideas are appreciated.
