  1. It was called the Comfort Inn Central under the station. It was definitely the smallest room we have ever stayed in, but perfectly adequate and the food was acceptable. It was inexpensive too. (I cannot walk far or quickly). The 'Thon Opera Hotel is very near. J. We got a taxi from the hotel to the ship......The most expensive taxi per mile it was too but the traffic was heavy and so the metre was ticking along!!! Once at the ship we were treated like royalty. All luggage taken away and charming staff greeting us. J
  2. We did the 21st April Cruise and did the Oslo to Bergen train trip having stayed in a hotel, under the railway station at Oslo, overnight. We did the whole thing independently and caught the 10.30am train. . J
  3. We did Viking's Pulpit Rock tour. The guide was Super Excellent and the Waffle was very good indeed! Mostly we did included excursions. Viking excursions are expensive which answers the question that the OP asked. Husband did the Flam railway trip at a fraction of the cost of the Viking offer. It is a five minute walk from the ship to the railway station. Enjoy your cruise OP.
  4. GTY means you will get a cabin at or above your booked PS3. We were "upgraded" on our recent cruise but did not get assigned a cabin until we boarded. J
  5. We did the Flowflex Antigen test 24 hours before boarding, but when we got on the ship no one asked us for a test result. We were required to do a test before boarding and wear a mask. We were never told the result so assumed it was negative. J
