  1. Ken, will they let me buy two nights on the BOGO? Do you think they will let me buy any night, or just the first two? jc
  2. So, when you wait til you get on board is it usually sold out? I know I have tried to book specialty dining during a cruise in the past, and been told they were sold out. What is everybody experience with this? jc
  3. I was looking at booking Giovanni's for the first and second night on the Voyager TA next May, since the DW and I are both diamond plus at the BOGO offer listed in the benefits page. When I put it in the cart it charges me for both people. Is this something you can only do on board? Can you do it for both nights? Just trying to figure out how to use this perk that we have never used in the past, even though we are about 1/2 way to Pinnacle. I know, you would think I would know this. Consider me clueless.😆 thanks in advance jc
  4. I hope your experience transfers to some of my Voyager sailings. So, far 9 months out diddly squat.
  5. If after the first night you love your waiters. You can request them with the folks who seat you, my experience has always been you can have the same waiters each and every night. If you are a couple at a large table, you will lose your dinner mates, but as far as waiters go, they are just like the MDR, you just have to request them.
  6. So, at 30pp for a bit better food, I think about it and think yeah might be worth it. At regular price, I am like, yeah, I like the food but… no it is not worth 55pp. I did the UDP exclusively when they went to the new menus. I am thinking I need to rethink this.😆
  7. I am guessing that dining packages are not going to exist on that sailing. too many Pins and people with small boat loads of money. Appreciate all of the comments. Just seems weird on my sailing. Of course, cruise 2 and 3 of my B2B2B don’t show any dining options at all. Wonder if they are making changes to the Voyager?
  8. I have 3 sailings on the Voyager for 2024, and in the past by this time, I would have offers to buy either the Ultimate Dining Package, or 3 or 5 night packages. There is nothing indicating these things in the cruise planner. Curious as to what others are seeing? thanks jc
  9. I keep looking for the diggers in your photos, to see where they are putting in “our” FlowRider on the property.🤣 jc
  10. I did an MRI a few years ago, and I didn’t like it. Stuck in a tube getting a bit warm, nerves, listening to music they provided, not being able to change volume or skip the bad hair band song, then the different noises of the various magnetic tests. I managed to not freak out, but I didn’t like it at all. 😅
  11. Hmmm… I am way behind how far back to I have to dig to see all of this? Sorry, Greg. Remember this is the internet, and not real life. IE forget about it and move on. JC
  12. True for China, but that is not the point of the thread. We started in Singapore in 2017, went to Vietnam first stop 3 nights in country, the cruiseline provided the visa (which was never ever requested or looked at). If you are flying into Vietnam I am sure that you would need the Visa.
  13. I understand, people have been looking for signs of life from me. Still alive. Doing fine. Busy, busy, busy. Will finish my cruise thread sometime. Off to Bama tomorrow, stopping in Memphis to pick up the Airstream after its conversion. Got the new truck yesterday, owe a monstrous amount of money on that. So far I like it. Trying to figure out how to pay for it without tax consequences. Love jc
  14. So, eventful departure. Getting a cab was a bit of butting in line, so we finally achieved it, and made it to the National Express Coach parking lot. It was a bit of a mob scene. I booked reserved seats, which meant we were on the second bus, not sure the logic of putting people who pay extra on the second bus, but such is their system. Reserved seats were sold out, bought the last two, yet there were at least 4 reserved seats not filled. 3 plus hours to London Victoria Coach station. We handled our luggage the 0.3 miles to the Victoria Station, checked the balance of both of our old Oyster cards, they each only had 1.5GBP on them… so I loaded 5GBP on one, smallest amount. We needed up to 5.4GBP for the Victoria Line ride to San Pancras. There are no other trains to Rotterdam, so we have been sitting in the Business Premier Lounge, since about 12:30PM. It is supposedly affiliated with the Amex centurion lounge, and other than having good liquor the two lounges are not much alike. Food is way better in Centurion lounges. They have a self-service bar, here, with beer, wine, soda, coffee, fruit drinks, and cocktails you make yourself as long as they are very basic. Full service bar is good, but small compared to Amex. Our train departs at 6:04PM and we arrive in Rotterdam at 10:30PM. Was pretty quiet upstairs, but now business men are filling the bar area pretty deep since it is Friday and they are headed home back to the other side of the channel. The coffee machine is still not quite right in the DL (back tracking here) the only sure way to make a good coffee was to make expresso then add frothed milk. Pretty certain, nobody on the ship knows how to fix it and I am not sure the crew realizes it doesn’t work correctly, unless you like lightly coffee’d hot milk.😂 Last two days were port days, we just walked around Cherbourg, and ate pastries. In Le Havre we went to a restaurant called Baggatelle for the weirdest and most expensive hamburger I ever ate! After we did an excursion to Rouen. Nice city. Too long of a bus ride. First morning, it was very cold and damp on the FlowRider, and everyone showed up, because the ship didn’t dock until noon. I made 3 runs. This was after having a hour Key session the night before were I got in about 25 runs. My legs were tired. We did our fourth and final IFly late that afternoon, the captain, and a lady whose husband is a Flow Nut did IFly before us. She Flew about everyday, and has her own helmet. Yesterday, since we ported at 7AM the 8AM session was 1 to 5 people and I got in about another 25 runs in a couple of hours. It was cool but sunny so quite comfortable. I said, Au Renoir, to the staff. JC
  15. The coffee machine is working but poorly. Most machines you can do too right cappucino and middle right latte for a full cup. This machines fills the cup if you push either and both are too milky. This started this morning. Sigh.
  16. Day 9, sitting in the DL working. Looking out the window it looks sunny!!!!! We have had sun on this cruise 4-5 minutes at a time max, occasionally. I better put sunblock on and my wetsuit! There is a line of 3 for the coffee machine, I need to make a cup for Krystal and take some snacks back to the room now to wake her up, and get dressed for surfing. JC
  17. Is that the default? Because I didn’t choose. It is what we did on last cruise. Because we were tryin to catch early flight
  18. So our departure is 6:30 and it says luggage assist. Does that mean they have it in the big room. Or that we r carrying off?
  19. Sunday was Ponta Delgada and we booked a quad 2 pax trip to the volcano and the green and blue lakes. It was overcast in the harbor. It was no visibility on the top of the volcano. 🤣 It was a nice tour but I wish it would have been a prettier day. We went to We Will Rock You last night. It was better and sillier than I remember from 7 years ago. Two more sea days then we hit France. We are supposed to fly this morning at 9. Not sure why I woke up at 4:45AM. The coffee machine doesn’t have any milk in it at 5:30AM. So much for 24 hour coffee. JC
