Been a couple years since we were on the Oasis, thanks for taking us down memory lane.

Why do they insist on cranking up the volume in so many venues. We had to leave the main theater because the headliner was so loud that it bothered my wife's ears (Tinnitus). It's not like their target audience is a bunch of 20 somethings who are used to being in a nightclub. Same with the sound volume in the CocoCay pool.
I must be getting old. GET OFF MY LAWN!
This is why I now carry ear plugs. Just too loud for us old timers.

My TA copy of reservation shows my VIFP as gold, which we are, but on Carnival site they have us as new cruiser. I tried calling Carnival, but got tired of waiting, so I just emailed TA, let her take care of it.
I am glad I went into Carnival and actually looked at our reservation.

No worries, It's all good.

Yes, just go to Guest Services after you’re onboard and they’ll take care of it.
That's what I thought. Just didn't know if there would be a problem. Thanks

Once onboard, can guest services allow passengers to change cabins. Two ladies are cruising together and husbands are going to surprise them. Will they be able to switch to be with their husbands??.

Today, received email from TA stating final payment for our Jan. 28 cruise had been changed to 35 days before departure date.

For food - an expiration date is the last day it can be sold (not safely consumed).
For the COVID test everyone is assuming the expiration date is the last date it can be used.
Does anyone know for sure if this is true?

This was possted by John&LaLa on Floataway thread: Notice on photo it say shelf life extended 3 months

I live in a suburb of Orlando and don’t think you will have nearly enough time to visit one of the Disney parks coming from a port stop in Tampa.
WDW is HUGE and has the same surface area as the city of San Francisco (really).
We are going there for a week.. I would never go for 1 day. Yes, I know how huge it is, been there many times when granddaughter was growing up.

It will be our first time on the Pride for the repositioning cruise. Just figured out we are across from the laundy on board. Does anyone know if the pride takes quarters or if that uses a card? Wanting to bring quarters to do a load or two. I would use the ship laundry but I know there will be several days that I will be hanging out on my balcony so it will be very easy to go switch it out. Thanks in advance!
We are on that one also. Our daughter-n-law and her mom will be on the Pride this coming week and I will ask her to check it out. Hopefully she remembers.

I have a much more basic question, where do I find the link through RCCL to purchase the home-based tests? I must be missing something very basic. Thanks!
We prefer to have our test done at the Express Care Urgent care close to us.

So the Walgreens rapid test is accepted then? Thought it has to be a PCR test or Binax Now AG card?
copied from Royals site:
Required Testing for All Guests Sailing From U.S. Homeports
All Guests: Required Pre-Cruise Testing
Before boarding day, you’ll need to take a COVID-19 test on your own, at your own expense.
- Vaccinated guests age 12 and older must show a negative COVID-19 test result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 2 days before boarding day.
- Unvaccinated kids age 2 to 11 must show a negative test result for a PCR or antigen test taken no more than 3 days before boarding day. Kids’ pre-cruise test cannot be taken on boarding day, because that may affect the sample taken during the kids’ test at the terminal.
- Guests under 2 years of age do not need to complete a pre-cruise test.
Accepted Types of Tests and Results
-
There are two common types of diagnostic COVID-19 tests and we accept either kind to satisfy pre-cruise testing requirements.
- A molecular test, also called a PCR test or NAAT test
- An antigen test, also called a rapid antigen test
- The test must be supervised by a health professional, such as a doctor, pharmacy technician, public health worker, or telehealth professional. Telehealth testing at home is only accepted for vaccinated guests, and only when it meets certain guidelines. See more in the sections below.
- You must receive a valid results document from your test provider that includes provider name, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your negative result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Handwritten doctor’s notes will not be accepted.

Remember, you can always cancel and repurchase if price goes down.

Just to be safe, I got a replacement card from the facility that gave me my shot. I showed them my card and they also thought the birth year was actually different. Apparently, whoever wrote 1944 made it look like 1947. Did not want to have any difficulty at the port.

Would like recommendation for transportation to Disney World after arriving at port from a cruise. Not familiar with the Tampa area. I know we could rent a car, but not sure where to go since we would be at the port. Any suggestion or info would be appreciated. Thank you.

here is the you tube video. I found it pretty interesting since I knew nothing about how to do it.

Thank you Ryano for explaining th details of how to sign in to see the proctor. We have never facetimed or Zoomed on the phone or tablet. I was worried about doing that. We are also non tech people and figured if someone explained it, I could do it. Thank you.

Grandeur of the Seas, end of January thru the end of Feb. 2020.

Have to add to everyone's stories. Was in the adults only area on another cruise line and mother was told, by another cruiser, she could not have diapered baby in the pool. She just pulled off diaper and put it on the side of pool. Didn't take long before they were asked to leave.

Fined? I've never heard of that. Who can be fined and by whom?
Don't know about being fined, but I seem to remember, several years ago, a part of a family being put off at the next port because of the teenagers not adhering to the rules about drinking. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

We usually have B2B2B cruises booked from late January thru February. Same cabin. This does not sound good at all.😢

For those that tested at Walmart through Quest, when did you get results? I made an appointment for 3 days before my October 3 cruise and just wonder if I should have a backup plan for a rapid test.
Wondering about this also. Will be looking for the reply.

I stopped in at our Walgreens near us and she said they only do the PCR and they could not guarantee a result in 3 days. They did not do the Rapid antigen. Pharmacist said she would like to have word with these cruise companies about their 3 day timing.
I am also looking to get our ducks in a row, cruise isn't until Oct. 31, trying to get everything lined up so we are not running around looking for a place to get tested. Have found that CVS, not all of them, will do the Rapid antigen test.

I'm not happy about it, because on a sea day I will have 3 or so beers by the pool, and for 5-8pm happy hour that allots only 2 beers, and nothing for wine at dinner.
If you use up your vouchers, just buy your next drinks. I know, with our 5 each, we will definitely be better off than buying drink package or even having to pay for our first 5.
