Yes, I filled out their form on Saturday and got the match yesterday. I too am Diamond on Royal and MSC gave my their Gold status.

Thank You all. I’m going to bring it for a backup to my other original paperwork. My passport expires April 2023 if that matters. I know other countries will not accept it within that 3 or 6 months of expiring. But to get back into the US it may come in handy. Most likely they will just wave me past without trouble. But it’s just been so long since I travel without a passport. I was just upset with myself for booking without checking.

I’m sorry, yes I am American. My passport is from the USA. Father was in the Air Force. Last time I used my passport was a cruise back in 2018. Didn’t look at it until I booked the cruise and was getting my documents ready. The cruise is Feb. 12,2023 and have no time to renew it for this cruise. Thank you for the reassurance. Just wanted to hear from someone else. Didn’t want it to be wishful thinking.

New on MSC and just realized after booking my cruise that my passport expires next month. I have a Certificate of Birth Abroad. But I don’t have my German birth certificate. Does anyone know if MSC will except this in place of a passport or my German birth certificate.

Not a question on if you should or should not. But what does Royal expect from you, if you are on a cruise and Royal extends your cruise due to weather and you are on the ship longer. Does Royal continue to charge the tips each day? Or do they just cover it and not bother charging you?

My dad was in the Air Force and both parents are US citizens. I was born in Germany. I only have a Germany birth certificate. When I went on my first cruise I did not have my passport. All I needed was my valid drivers license, my German Birth certificate and my State Department Birth Abroad (CRBA) I did get a passport because every person was man handling my German birth certificate. Any it’s not easy to get a new one. Hope this helps and Happy Sailing!!!!

This may be moved to the other board that deals with this topic. But I would go with the GoPro 8 or higher for video. But if you want to be able to zoom in and out on the subject. You phone (iPhone or Samsung) will do very nice. Most are waterproof to 33ft. Go to YouTube and search GoPro snorkeling or GoPro underwater and see if that is what you or your husband are hoping for. I have called Royal and have gotten different answers. If you are unvaccinated and traveling to the Bahamas and Coco Cay after Sept 5,2022. Does the Covid test you take 3 days before your cruise have to be supervised? On one page of Royals site- it says they will take a unsupervised test home kit. When you click for more info. That page says the test has to be supervised. I just want to know which one it is. I just want to see if any of you have a better understanding of it. Thank You
