  1. You may want to wait for the updated schedule, the Liberty and Sunshine out of Port Canaveral also do 5 day trips and they have all the 2.0 upgrades. Sunshine shows one in June right now, Liberty is only posted to March.

We have been on the Sensation and Paradise and we liked both, but the Paradise had a better itinerary. Good luck!

  2. There is a strain going around called the Sydney virus, at least that's what my hubby's doc said. Also, it is so strong, some of the regular cleaners don't have much effect on it. It's new to America, originated in Australia, so the problem is we over here have not become immune to it yet, so many I know here in FL have contracted it, including myself and entire family.

I was down 3 days, lost 7 lbs and it took me over 5 days to get completely re-hydrated, not the way I want to lose weight! :p

Many of my friends kids caught it and had to go the ER due to dehydration. Let me just say I wish this one on no one! It is VIOLENT! I can't imagine being on a cruise and catching it. Best wishes for those about to board!

  3. Just to give you a perspective on spending...we also put cash on our account, we usually bring $1200, I put $200 in our safe to bring with us in port. We are drinkers and usually spend on average about $100 a day between us or buying a drink for others. I usually buy one or two pics and 3 or 4 gift shop items (t-shirts, purse, bag, hat) and a couple bottles of liquor and some cigarettes, a couple of cokes and one or two souvenier cups and spend less than $100 in the casino, $20 on bingo and a CD they do of the cruise because we are usually in it. :p

My tips come out of our account and we over tip everyone with cash, well, because they deserve it, but it's not required. The longest sailing we have done so far is a 6 day and we brought back $69 with us. :)

I think you will probably be fine with $500 or $600.

  4. We did the Paradise 5 day to GC and Cozumel, that was a good trip and we sailed Ecstasy 5 day when it was at Canaveral to Bahamas. Both were good and we always had something we could do.

These size ships are easy to navigate. We did a 6 day on the Freedom and it did take us longer to maneuver that ship and lines seemed a bit longer, but we have learned how to avoid those, just don't follow the crowd. That sailing included Key West, but unfortunately most of the sailings there are day hours, living in Florida we prefer to take a few days to visit because of the nightlife and a few hours is just not enough. We waited to take a 7 day on Liberty because we want more time on the larger ship.

  5. Before final payment, you can switch to the new price. The only thing is that the full payment may be due at that time, since it seems like you booked the special where you do not make the final payment until 30 days before sailing. Make sure you make that payment, or you will lose your cruise

    Good point, thanks.

  6. The Fantasy apparently noticed an unmanned paddleboat near St. Augustine this morning and reported it, hope everyone is ok. I don't like thinking the worst, but we just had several spotting's of more than one great white in Volusia/Ormond area which is not that far away, I am a native Floridian and beach person, but all these reports are making me a little nervous to put my toes in the water!

  7. We are booked for an upcoming 7 day cruise and we need 6 more days to qualify for "Gold." I am not sure, do we we get a gold card/add'l perks at the beginning of this cruise or will it be applied on the next cruise to follow...?

  8. Fosters is the best deal. Leaned that quick on my first cruise on the Glory. Taste is passable cold but once it warms up it's a bit skunky.

DW's sister moved to Australia...she has told us that real Australian's laugh at Fosters. It really is the Natty Ice of Australia.

LOL, this is why we keep it cold at the bar!

  9. Hubby likes them ok, best bang for buck, he also likes Ice House, Dos Equis and dark drafts. You can also buy a bucket, have the casino bar "hold" (refrigeration) for you, just bring your receipt when you are ready for a cold one, they will mark off how many you have received.
