  1. I'm just gonna keep bugging you until our cruise gets here. :p

Can you do the martini tasting any time during the cruise or is it at a scheduled time?

    Thanks. :)

LOL, I'm not easily bugged, I like helping people if I know the answer, knowledge is power....Yes, you can get the martini tasting anytime you want, we did it 2x, loved Raj, bartender, and the drinks were pretty potent. I loved the melon one, tastes just like watermelon, the one we didn't really like was the one with J. Daniels in it, very strong alchohol taste. I like to go after dinner and then order a big one that I liked to take into the comedy show. Enjoy!

    Happy Sailing,

  2. Another question for you...

I know on a previous thread you expressed interest in getting a FCC on board the Paradise. There is still confusion as to whether or not they are actually sold on the Paradise. Were you able to buy the FCC you wanted? If so, when and where were they sold?

    Thanks again for your help.

Yes, they do sell them at the small desk next to the S & S kiosk and the casino bar, Promenade Deck 9, Mid, Wed was from 4:30 - 9:00 and Thursday (last day to get them) was 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. They announce it as the Loyalty & Cruise Experts Desk. :)

    Happy Sailing,

  3. Thanks for posting your review. I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks for the numerous photos also. Looks like you had a great time. My first cruise on Carnival was on the Paradise way back in 2003, so it was nice to see all the photos of the ship (especially of the Rex Dance Club) as I have fond memories of that trip.

Your welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!

    Happy Sailing,

  4. is there no water works? I thought all of the Fantasy ships had it? great review we were on the Pardise when she was brand new in 99 for our honeymoon and we are taking the kids this August just book it today we are very lucky we live only 35 mins. from port of tampa.

No waterworks, Paradise is schedule for upgrades 2015. Glad you liked the review, how nice you live so close!

    Have a great cruise,

    Lisa

  5. Only got as far as page 6 and had to comment.

You all seem like great people to cruise with! (Join us Dec. 10th, 2012 on the Paradise!)

I've done the Bar Hop a few times and it's always a blast! She was our guide once too and so nice. Did you see the "special" menu at Coconuts? Not a menu at all but pix of ladies topless...

I noticed the rubber stopper in the bathroom sink on board. Strange...

More space there than on Inspiration.

A few differences in the lay out between the 2 ships by the pool and in the Serenity area.

Your pix are fabulous and the review is really covering everything, down to the toilet paper!

Thanks for all the hard work.

Lol, I wish I could join yaw in December, however, I have a surprise 50th BD Sensation cruise 11/1, I booked 2 cabins ES and invited some other friends to join us, it would be cool if everybody wanting to cruise with us on this review could come! Party!!!:D We'll have to stay in touch and possibly plan something in the future.:) Glad you enjoyed my pics....

    Happy Sailing,

  6. I have a couple of questions; we will be on the Paradise next month.

    1. Is there a steak house on the Paradise? Were there specialty dining areas on the Lido deck where you could obtain sushi or Indian food? How about fish & chips? No steakhouse, yes on sushi, I have a pic in my review of the sushi bar open 5:30-8:30 and Lido buffet also offered sushi. Lido has the Grill and Mongolian bbq.

    2. Is there a jacuzzi in the spa area? I did not take a tour of the spa except for the "free" things which was a sauna & steam room w/lockers and showers.

    3. How is the overall condition of the ship, given it's a little older? Fairly good, they refurbished carpets etc in February, not sure if you have taken a look at my review yet, but I posted lots of pics for everyone to help them get an idea of her condition.:)

    4. Was there mini golf or volleyball? Mini golf yes, volleyball no.

    Thanks.

Hope you have a great cruise.

    Happy Sailing,

  7. No blowdryers on the paradise. You can ask the room steward for one, but have to take turns. one of the ladies at our dining table had to borrow one and it didn't work out very convenient. my daughter & I brought our own for our cabins.

no talent show on the Paradise. I read where the Liberty had auditions for their Legends show, maybe that's it.

Different ships do have the talent show, it may depend on the length of your cruise, on our 6 day Freedom they did have one.

    Happy Sailing,

  8. thanks again for your great review, we are on the Paradise soon and have been following your posts, loved them. A few questions I thought you might be able to help us with, I've been told by some that there are hairdryers in the rooms and by others there are not ? I also heard there is a talent show, is it for adults or just kids ?

Thanks! I think some specific rooms have blowdryers, but I can only speak for the inside, no window, it did not have one, but others have said your steward will bring one for you, I have a small travel fold up one I always bring.

I don't remember reading about a talent show and they didn't show that on the tv, (they run different game shows and stuff over and over) but I will try to take another look at my Funtimes for you.

    Happy Sailing,

  9. Thursday, Cozumel!

We woke up fairly early for Coz, even though we didn't have to meet our guide until 12:15. Excitement! We were all really looking forward to this port. Reason #1, the eastside of Coz looks gorgeous, #2 Tequila:p That is my drink of choice, margaritas, shots, you name it and I drink it. I can hold my tequila better than most so a chance to drink real mexican margarita's was at the top of my list!

    @ bold...Girl I hear you...I love LOVE Tequila too...OMG!!

Then you WILL love this excurion!!!

  10. girl's birthdays, so DH slipped a note to the band to wish her a happy BD. They were a hoot, they had already ordered Long Island Tea from Vera and were feeling good. They were from Ga and as bout as backwoods as they come. (their words) One of them said they live in the wood, no house phone, no computer and guess what her DH and SIL where doing while they were cruising? Driving their covered wagon, wait, let me say that again, COVERED WAGON from GA to VA. WT??? I said, Uh what pulls the wagon, well silly me, a burro of course. Are you pulling my leg? No way the other girl says, they have a wagon and it takes 4 days to travel, they camp in it and everything. On a highway? I really need to get out of FL. lol Well the next bright question I ask is, "OK, so what do ya do if ya get a flat?" "Call AAA and request an a**? " She looks at me and says "No, ya shoot it just like a horse!" Bartender give me another!!!

OMG, I almost peed my pants!!!:eek: You are a HOOT! Congrats on another great cruise and may many more be in your future. Sure wish we lived down THERE or you lived up HERE (we are 20 minutes from cruise terminal in Manhattan) so we could cruise together. I am going to be hungover tomorrow just from reading this lol! :p ENJOY every minute of whatever brings your way and thank you for taking us on this journey with you! :)

Lol, "You ain't cool unless you pee your pants!" - Billy Madison

Thank you! Life is what you make it and we try to live it large and have fun! I'm think I'm partial to you living down HERE, its warmer!!!:D

    Happy Sailing,

  11. Detailed. Another ?, what are the classic drinks? Are they listed somewhere at the bars? And do you just bring the receipt to the casino cashier to get the $5 match play?

Your welcome, classic drinks are listed one menus at the bars,

    17bar2_4.jpg

Take your receipt to the casino cashier, she will give you a card worth a $5 token, then you take the card to the table and match it with another $5, so you will have a $10 bet.

    Happy Sailing,

  12. Debark Day

I am up early and dressed, get the boys up and take the long, long walk to Lido for our last breakfast at sea. It was packed up there! Seems like no one wanted to leave! We then went to GS and cashed our check and went back to get our luggage, we were thru customs in about 5 minutes, very benign. We called the Tahitian Inn and they were just taking more people back so we had about 30 minutes, we walk down the road to a cafe' for coffee and then cross the street to the parking garage, its literally steps from the port. All pick ups are done here, airport, hotels, Alamo etc. There are also plenty of cabs out front, I think the going rate was $25 for a cab. I took one last pic from the garage of the tip of the whale tail. We are picked up and shuttled back by a very nice driver, turns out he has a cousin that lives very close to us and owns a hotdog stand down next to UF.

We arrive to our car and are home in 2 hrs, I luv living in FL!

Well guys, I think I am at the end, hope you enjoyed the pics and my jabbering, this was rather fun and my cruise was great.

    Next up, the Sensation!

    Happy Sailing,

  13. We did some more walking around after this, then I headed back to the room to see if our liquor had arrived, it had, so we packed that up and I grabbed the bottle of champagne DH had won and headed back up to the Lido bar, we sipped and watched my Miami Heat lose to the Celtics.

After the game we headed back inside to the casino bar, it was hopping, band was playing and 2 of our MDR tablemates were there. It was one of the girl's birthdays, so DH slipped a note to the band to wish her a happy BD. They were a hoot, they had already ordered Long Island Tea from Vera and were feeling good. They were from Ga and as bout as backwoods as they come. (their words) One of them said they live in the wood, no house phone, no computer and guess what her DH and SIL where doing while they were cruising? " She looks at me and says "No, ya shoot it just like a horse!" Bartender give me another!!!

They were having a blast though, we danced and messed around till about 1:30, said our departures and then headed off for more late night pizza run and then back to bed.

  14. Next up was some lunch, they had mahi mahi on Lido which was good and I got some more of those yummy chicken tenders. We then went to sit, smoke and converse with some friends on deck, ordered some more Red Frog and chillax. We spent time talking to an elderly couple who always sat in the corner, they had brought their 3 grandkids with them. We shared some beer and then went to Serenity for a little while.

We mosey back down to smoke some more and our other GA couple were there. He had 2 shots of tequila in either hand and I was like "Woe boy, slow down, lol" he stated he was trying to get messed up today, it was his day, but he was having trouble getting a buzz even drinking shots and all. At this time my son walks up, I'm sure I don't have to tell you what happened next. Yes the Lido bartender now knows how to make an Irish Breakfast. :p John loved this so much he drank and bought all the shots and it was alot. I warned him he better slow down, now it was a competition between him (39) and DS (22). Not going to happen, my son can drink like a fish and still know what's going on around him (just like his mama):p.

I suggested he drink some water in between these shots, he tried, but he just kept drinking, 14 shots later (about 1 1/2) he had accomplished his goal. He really was gone at about 10 when DH told him, "Hey you didn't finish all your OJ/schnapps in that last shot", so he picks up the shot glass and tries to unscrew the top off the glass(a top that was not there), I look at DH and said, Yep, he's gone, lol. We were having such a good time, I look over and the older couple that had sat at the corner table the entire cruise had moved to a table beside us so they could watch! I guess we are pretty entertaining! His dear wife had to take him back to room for the night, later another friend told us they saw him on the way to the room, hanging on to the hallway polls!:D Great couple!

  15. We then went to the ATM to get some $$$, one is located by Guest Services and the charge is $6. I used the S & S kiosks the whole time to check charges, add $$, print statements. They are located right next to the casino bar (very convenient for us):p, deck 7 and Promenade 9. We did have a little money left over and received a check which we cashed out at GS.

We then headed over to the casino and played a few slots and used our classic drink receipts for some roulette. I went up to look at some more pics and passed the gold by the inch table, they were having a special, buy 21" and get 2 free bracelets. The arcade is located by the pictures and the kids dance floor, I watched them later that night, looked like they were having fun, their disco floor also lit up, pretty cool. For those interested, for youth, they had, meet & greet, club rollout, elegant party, dress to impress party, glow stick party, dance party, movie night/date night.

We then scooted back to our room to pack up our stuff, we were doing self embark so I just got everything ready except what we needed for the next morning.:(
