Hello,
This is my first RCI cruise, onboard the Liberty of the Seas. We decided to purchase the specialty dining package for 5 nights and the first night done right special. I saw that on the FNDR promotion RCI makes the reservation for you. As far as the other nights, when do I select the restaurants? Once onboard, or on My Cruise Planner?
Also, which specialty on the Liberty is your favorite/what are your favorite things to order?!
Sorry if this has been asked previously, as I'm sure it has, but I am a newbie and I have LOTS of questions!!
Thank you for any help you can give!!!
-
Thank you everyone! I'm learning so much about Royal from all of you! I'm jumping ship from Carnival, and I am very excited, definitely appreciate the help!
-
no laundry rooms , but you can fill a laundry bag for about 30 dollars
Okay. Thank you so much for your answers!
-
Thank you so much for all of your quick responses!
I have one more question maybe someone could answer, does RCCL have laundry rooms on board for guests to use?
-
Hey y'all,
I see many people on here ask this question, but I haven't seen a definitive answer... unless I missed it.
It will be my first time on RCCL, and I'm very excited... currently I'm in a JS on deck 10, about 4-5 doors down from the RS. There have been a few openings for JS on deck 9 as of today, should I switch? Will there be a good deal of noise if I stay on deck 10?? Anyone have any experience?
Also, what is your absolute favorite thing to do on the ship? And what is something that can be skipped?
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I'm loving your review so far!! You took some really great pictures of the ship, and ports. I'm sorry that you and Tracy accidentally encountered some fire coral, hopefully it didn't cause you guys too much pain! Keep the updates coming!!!!! :)

Great review with pictures! I was wondering if you noticed what line dances they are currently doing. I know there is the typical Cupid shuffle, Cha-cha slide, Wobble, but do you know if there are any newer ones that seemed to be popular?
Thank you very much for reading! They are still doing the typical ones, nothing new at all! :)
I've been following your review, life got in the way and forgot about it, then it popped up again so I was able to finish just now. :) We don't have a cruise booked but were on Glory in May 2010 on the same itinerary. I really enjoy reviews of itineraries we're considering but also enjoy those that we've been on as a way to "relive" some of our cruises and to get ideas for the next time. We also went to Trunk Bay on that cruise and would love to get back there someday. Your pictures are beautiful and you really got some great ones of the Forts in San Juan. Thank you for taking the time to do a review.Thank you for coming back to finish reading!! The Glory is a great ship, definitely my favorite! Thank you again!
Where is the spaceship on Grand Turk? I haven't seen it.It's just a small little exhibit to the right, past the shopping center.

Just read your entire review. One of the better reviews because of all the great picture.
We will be on the Glory again in Feb.2017 with 24 family and friends.
We are counting the days.
My question:
I don't remember having the option at dinner in the MDR to order a steakhouse item at a cost. Is this something that is offered every night?
I saw where someone ordered a filet mignon at a charge of $20. I would definitely do that.
I love eating in the MDR and we never go to the specialty restaurants. But, if they offer a specialty steak in the MDR, I would do that.
Thank you very much for reading! That will be an awesome cruise!
The steakhouse addition in the MDR is offered every evening. The plates are the same as you would get in the Steakhouse!
Great ReviewThank you for reading!
Thanks for sharing!Do you happen to have images of the Fun Times?
we are on the same ship same Itinerary Oct 15th
Thanks for reading! Unfortunately I do not have the Fun Times, I'm sorry!!
Hope you have a great trip!

I must say I'm pretty jealous! Hope you have a fun trip!

Hi Britbrie,
Thanks for such a wonderful review and great pictures. :)
Also congrats on getting into law school.
I am thinking about doing my very first review of my cruise on Vista and I was wandering what were the size dimensions you used for your pictures as they seem like a perfect size for the review you did.
Thanks again,
Take care,
Mark. :)
Thanks for reading!! Thank you, law school is a scary thing. haha.
That is awesome, I would love to read your review of the Vista. I used Flickr for my sharing program, and used the Medium 640 x 480 size.
Good Luck with your review, I'll be looking out for it! :)

Finally, after hours of waiting at the airport we boarded our fancy plane.
Back in New Orleans! <3
The Mississippi River:
New Orleans International Airport:
And with that, our vacation was over. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see where we go next year.
THANKS to anyone who read this, sorry for the expedited conclusion... but law school has taken over my life.
If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to chime in! Thanks again for reading! -
After collecting our luggage, our wait at customs was super easy, quick, and painless.
We were escorted to our shuttle back to the airport, and after a short drive were dropped off at the American Airlines counter... which took FOREVER.
Finally after 1 hour and 47 minutes in line... yes, you read that correctly. We were in the airport, and ready to relax.
We found our gate, did some shopping, and realized it was lunch time and we were getting kind of hungry.
So we stopped at some Mexican restaurant, I cannot remember the name!
We ordered some nachos, which were okay. Nothing fancy.
After lunch, we went back to the gate... and waited some more. After several hours of waiting here, our gate changed. So, we were off to the other side of the airport.
Once at our new gate... surprise! Your flight is delayed for 2 more hours! Yayyy. :(
Mom and I walked around some of the shops in the new area, and I stopped for some fruit.
-
We waited in the Amber Palace until our zone was called...
Back in Miami... :(
-
We got all of our luggage ready, and headed off to the restaurant for breakfast.
Mom ordered the fruit, and an omelet.
I stuck with my standard eggs benedict.
Breakfast was great, afterwards we went and collected my liquor I purchased in Puerto Rico from the dance club.
There were people sitting everywhere...
-
Mom and I said goodnight to the rest of the family, and went down to Deck 3 to see if anything was going on. The line for Guest Services was packed, and the bar was shutting down.
After hanging out for a while, we went up to the room to go to sleep.
Up Next: Disembarkation. :( -
We finally made it to see the Latin Nights show, which was a great show.
After the show, we met back up in the casino and ordered some drinks. They definitely hooked the rum up in my rum and diet.
We also got some pizza, and all split it.
The main pool at night...
-
For my entree I got the Prime Rib
Mom ordered the Shrimp Creole... which was gross. I mean come on, we live in Louisiana. What were you expecting? haha.
Finally it was time for dessert... the wait staff brought out a cake as a congrats for getting into law school/graduating college, and for my birthday. It was super nice!
Since I couldn't eat cake, I ordered the baked apple.
After dinner, the family decided to all meet up in the Amber Palace for the last show. While walking on deck 5, my mom's aunt decided to stop and check her email... so I told them I was going to go use the restroom.
Afterwards, I stopped by a random slot machine... and on the first pull won $60!
I guess I was gone for a little while, so it was funny when the family came looking for me and saw me with a few people standing around me. haha. :D -
Thanks for such a great review so far. I hope Law school is going well.
Thank you for reading! Law school is going great so far, but it has only just begun!
-
Then it was time for dinner...
I started with the french onion soup... which was amazing.
Mom got the BBQ chicken flatbread
And let's be real here...
of course I got a shrimp cocktail.
-
Until next time Guy's :(
After eating, we went down to Deck 3 to settle some stuff up with Guest Services and finished up shopping in the Fun shops.
-
While mom was watching some of the art auction, I went to explore some of Deck 4.
It was late afternoon when she finally emerged from the art auction, and I really wanted to get my last Guy's Burger of the cruise.
-
After breakfast, I wanted to get some coffee so we went up to the coffee shop on Deck 5.
We hung out with my mom's aunts for a little bit, and then went down to Deck 4 to check out the art auction.
I tried to get my dad to buy me this beauty... :p
-
We took our time waking up on the last sea day. While getting ready, we watched the Morning Show on tv.
Mom and i decided to go have breakfast in the Platinum dining room.
I started with the fruit plate...
For my main plate, I got the steak and eggs which I ended up sending back... because I don't like the whites of my eggs that underdone. Gross.
Mom got the Huevos Rancheros

After the show, Eric had a Guess that 80s Song, and it was a fun time for everyone. Lots of dancing, drinking, and singing for everyone that attended.
We stayed at the 80s party for a little while, and then went with some of the family up to the casino... what a shocker. :roll eyes:
I ended up being fine with it, because I won $70! yayyyy.
We stayed in the casino for a little bit, and then went back up to the room to relax and watch a movie on television.
Up Next: Sea Day!
