  1. Great review, Brit! I love all the pics :) I will be doing this same itinerary with my family December 12. I've cruised on the Glory before (NE/Can route), but this will be my first time out of Miami, and first time at these ports (except HMC.)

Best of luck finishing up at LSU!

Thank you so much for reading!! That is awesome that you get to go in December! I'm jealous! The Glory is an awesome ship isn't she?! I would love to do that itinerary one day! Hope you have fun, and thank you very much!

  2. Brit - Your Cruise Diary and Pictures are the Bomb!! I am so Hyped to be leaving on this coming Saturday for this Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Glory!! Thank you so much for writing this review. I have SO MUCH to look forward to. Yay!! You did a great job with your review.

Have safe travels on your next cruise! Good luck with School.

Thanks so much for reading!! I hope your cruise is fantastic, and you have a wonderful vacay! Thanks again!!

  3. Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review with all those wonderful pictures! I really appreciate that you also put all the Fun Times on there so that we will know what to look forward to in a few weeks!!!!:D:D

Thank you very much for reading!! I hope you have an amazing trip!!!!! Come back and post a review so I can relive the experience! :)

Do you have any pictures of the boat you took to St John? It looked beautiful there!

I just looked through my pics again and unfortunately I do not! It was a decently sized boat, 2 stories, with a bathroom. There were tables/chairs on the lower level, and then on the upper level it was open aired. Along the sides you could stand near the rails and look out, but it was very bumpy. We weren't on there for too long, but it was nice to travel on.

did you happen to photo the daily menus and, if so, would you post those?

I did not take pictures of the menus. I'm sorry!! It was just the standard American Table menus though.

  4. After dinner, we tried to go to one of the comedy shows but the lines were ridiculous. Instead, we went and hung around the ship and people watched while enjoying our drinks.

Around midnight or so, we went back to the room and were ready for bed.

Upon return to the room, we had a large amount of towel animals left up...

One last shot of the water...

The next morning, we woke up and got breakfast on the lido. We took our time getting off of the ship, but not to where they were forcing us to leave... haha. Once back through customs, we called SAS for our transportation back to the hotel.

We had decided to spend the last day in Ft. Lauderdale due to the flights available. It worked out better for us to fly out on Sunday instead of right after getting off of the ship, but I would have much rather just gone home.

The last day at the hotel wasn't too eventful. I forced my dad to watch hours of the TV show Hoarders... which he so loved. :roll eyes:

The next day, we woke up around 3 am and flew out of FLL back to Nola. Overall it was an amazing cruise, and we can't wait to go back next June!!

Same itinerary June 2016, so I'm super excited to go and experience new things! With that said, if anyone has any questions or comments feel free to leave them here. I hope everyone enjoyed my Review, and I look forward to doing one after the next cruise! I will try to post scans of the Fun times from the cruise as soon as I can figure out my scanner!

While dad was off shooting pics, mom and I finished packing our suitcases... which is never fun. I absolutely HATE packing/repacking!

    21677262731_5427bd65c6_c.jpg

I went and sat out on the balcony for a little while, and then it was time for dinner, which dad skipped... so mom and I went and used our past guest drink coupon. Dinner was decent, I ate shrimp cocktail (obviously) and ordered a steak.

  6. I'm sad that I'm now going to start covering the last sea day! I don't want it to be over!! But, I'm sure those of you reading would love to see the completion... haha.

So here goes... I woke up kind of late, and ended up eating at the Late Risers Buffet. After breakfast, we went and walked around the fun shops/casino. There weren't many activities going on, so we just decided to take it easy for a little bit.

After playing in the casino for a little bit, where I made money... (it's always nice to be able to say you made money on your cruise :p)

We decided to go grab some lunch, which I chose to get my last Guy's Burger of the week... and then I went to the Chocolate Buffet (omg I was in heaven).

After lunch, mom and I went to the Thriller Dance class... which was very entertaining. Meanwhile, Dad went and took some pics of the ship

After the dance class, they had Jackpot bingo and then we watched the Hasbro Game show.

Mom and I went and got some drinks and went back to the room to get ready for dinner...

  7. Hey y'all, I'm back! I had a hectic week, which included writing a huge history paper and a Spanish test... now I just want to sleep. But, I will do an update beforehand!

So, I left off on us getting back on the ship from Grand Turk. We dropped off the stuff we bought at the room, and went up to the Lido deck to grab some drinks.

I ordered a Hurricane Wave, and we sat and people watched for a few minutes.

We went to our room and took a few pictures of the sail away from Grand Turk...

I started getting ready for formal night, and then sat out on the balcony waiting for everyone else. Dad decided to stay in tonight, so we went to dinner.

Dinner was super slow again tonight, but I ordered a daiquiri beforehand so I was fine. haha.

After dinner we went to the Epic Rock show, and then to bed.

Sorry for the lack of pics on this update, but there are some more to come!

    Up next: Last Sea day!

  8. Well Helllooo Miss BritBrie!

Let me just start off with a thank you! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this forum, and even all the time replying to comments and questions. It took me awhile to read everything you wrote and posted, so I can only imagine how much time you've spent creating it all.. It seems like everyone else in here appreciated it as well. By the time I was done looking thru it all, you became a Carnival Glory forum celebrity lol.

I'm going on the Glory Dec 12th, and for the last couple months i have been searching all over the internet for any good reviews, chats, info, pics, etc. relating to the carnival glory cruise. And now I finally found what I've been looking for, for the most part, all thanks to your post. Beforehand I couldnt find much info and pics in one spot. So good job! I doubt I'll have the patience to try to do this when I get back from my cruise.

Im going on the cruise with close to 30 people for my cousins wedding (I don't know all the people going)

they're getting married on the ship on day 1 of the cruise. I believe we get to board the ship early to get ready and have the wedding and then reception. So I will def be sharing your post with some of them as well. I hope there will be a little alcohol available to us early, because I'll need a couple drinks in me to get that best man speech out!

This will be my 2nd cruise, and I'm super excited for it. Everything looks great. Your pics were awesome, they are making even more excited about going.

I also must say that you're lovely to look at as well. Your pretty pics were sort of added bonus lol :)

and I love how you ate about 16,000 shrimp cocktails.. I kept waiting for shrimp cocktail pics to start poppin up as your breakfast haha.. I don't know why, but I got a kick out of the shrimp cocktails. I'm gonna have a few in your honor.. I'll pour one overboard for homey BritBrie who couldnt be here....

Sorry now Im writing you a long novel..

but whenever you get a chance to read this and possibly respond. maybe you can just share with me some of your suggestions, choice of best island out of the 4. Any do's and don'ts, etc. I'll be rooming with my buddy, and chilling with him most of the time since there will be a lot of their older and younger family members going amongst the large wedding group. Im assuming you're close to our, my friend and I that is. So anything that you like or think we would like would be appreciated! Im not much of a through planner before i go on trips, but I want to try and change that for this trip and have some things planned ahead of time so I'm not indecisively scrambling for stuff on the ship or islands.

its been a pleasure seeing your trip

Thanks again for the post, I enjoyed reading it.

    ~Carnival Glory 12/12/2015~ :) ;) [/i]

Thanks so much for reading!! I'm glad my Review helped shed a little light on how AWESOME this cruise actually is! When we first booked the trip I had issues finding anything about it as well, I guess the Carnival Glory is an underrated cruise ship.

The wedding should be a lot of fun! Good luck on your speech!! They usually have alcohol as soon as the ship is open and ready for boarding, so hopefully you can sneak a few in! haha.

Thank you for the compliment!! I love taking selfies, so I'm glad they are appreciated haha. I would definitely eat shrimp cocktail for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I hope you for sure eat a few for me haha.

As far as the ports visited on this itinerary, my favorites were San Juan and St. Thomas/St. John. I definitely recommend going on the excursion to Trunk Bay in St. John... best views of the beach/ocean ever. They have awesome snorkeling there, and you can relax on one of the world's prettiest beaches. You get to see a lot of St. Thomas and other outlying islands that way. They have a Señor Frogs right off the ship, but the past couple of times I have been to St. Thomas it wasn't really a huge spot to hit. I know you should definitely try to get the Painkiller drink in St. Thomas, it is said to be the strongest drink they have, and it's super delicious! St. Thomas has a lot of shopping in the downtown area, but I'm a chick so obviously that's one of my favorite things to do. haha.

San Juan is AMAZING. I obviously liked to tour the Castillo San Cristobal (the fort), but they have the Bacardi Distillery there... with free rum tastings. So, thats obvious.

They had a ton of bars/restaurants/shops right off the ship that are awesome. CVS is right there to buy liquor, with good prices ($13 bucks for Don Q, $23 for Ron del Barilito--which is the best Rum I have ever had in my life...)

They also have a Señor Frogs right off the ship, which is more popular than the one in St. Thomas, but I would choose to go to the local bars instead if it were me. To the left off of the ship, they have a place called Old Harbor Brewery--they brew their own beer, and serve awesome looking food.

But, here I am telling you all the alcohol related things to do. haha. My bad. Definitely try to walk around the downtown San Juan area and shop, because they have fantastic things to see and do there. The Forts were really cool too!

Grand Turk everyone goes to the beach right off of the ship, or Margaritaville. Margaritaville was definitely were most younger people went, as they made it a party atmosphere with lots of drinking going on.

Half Moon Cay, just enjoy the beach... it's gorgeous! They have bars everywhere, and the free BBQ is good too.

You'll have an amazing time, and I'm super jealous! Thanks again for reading, and hope I helped!

  9. Yay!! Thanks for coming back Brit!

Sorry it took so long, I'm working on my last update!

Thanks for your continued posts. I will be doing this itinerary in 15 days and am so excited.

Omg! I'm super jealous!! I hope you have a fantastic time!

Really enjoyed your review and love the pictures. We are sailing on the Liberty Nov 1 But spending 3 days prior in San Juan. I love San Juan!!!!

Thanks for reading! I love San Juan too!! I would love the opportunity to spend 3 days there!! Hope you have an awesome trip!!

I believe that doggie belongs to the owners of Jacks Shack. Its been a few years since we have been, so the names escape me. When we were there, my son tried to play with the doggie. Before he did though, we sat and watched the dog go up to someone who was laying out in the sun and put the straw of their drink into his mouth like he was drinking it. Sooo funny. Loved that place. I have attached a picture of my son and the doggie.

That's too cute!! Awesome that the dog is so friendly, and let your son play with him! Thanks for sharing your pic!

The dog's name is Topher, and he belongs to Jack's Shack.

He is truly a lucky dog.

He for sure is a lucky dog!

I thought thats what his name was, but wasnt sure. It was back in 2013 when we were there - and too many life stresses since to remember. lol Guess that means I need to plan a cruise.

Brit - great review. Love all the pictures.

    Thanks again for reading!
