  1. I was wondering if anyone had been on The Emerald.  We did 14 days in February.   We are not foodies...and guys the food was bad!  Everything covered in gravy or a very bad tomato sauce.  We will be on Caribbean Princess in May and hope it will be better.  Our friends that sailed with us on Emerald actually cancelled the one on Caribbean Princess due to the disappointing changes since Covid.  Hopefully just that one ship.  Sorry..not "spewing venom".  Just giving an opinion.

  2. We also were on this sailing.  Just wandering if anyone else noticed during the Captains Club party that the band played The Love Boat?  Very funny to be playing Princess Cruises theme song😁.

We also had a night at Eden.  We had enjoyed the beauty and uniqueness of the menu on the Edge, only to find out that it is now a totally different menu.  If the lotus flower and red apple desserts are no longer available they should not continue using them in the advertising promotions.  We were disappointed although the food was good.

We had a wonderful cruise even if the casino was vicious!  Also they could use a new microphone system there.  Could not understand a word the casino host said.

Our next E class is on Edge next March.   We booked a sunset balcony.  After 2 attempts of liking an infinite veranda have decided we actually hate them.  But do love the ships.  Hope all the quarantined staff does well and everyone enjoyed their sailing!

  3. Hi all!  Back on dry land (for a short time).  We leave out at the end of the week to get on Celebrity Apex for a 7 day.  Clothes are getting tight.  Not good but not cruising in June or July so will have to really work on it then😁.  Last 14 day on Celebrity was wonderful.  Won upgrade to suite from balcony.  Only thing I won....casino was tough.  Didn't get to snorkel but one time.  The wind in Caribbean was also tough and made the water rather rough.  But the sun was wonderful.  Came home to see all my azaleas flowers on the ground.  Hate I missed seeing them.  They are usually beautiful.  Not as pretty as the ones on The Masters...but close.  I will still check in all along because I will need A Lot of support this summer.  Later....Susan

    I guess we will also.

Now wasn't eliminating the 3 cent piece of chocolate a real money saver. 😁 LOL

They had to save somewhere to pay for all these freaking motion sensor lights!

  5. Presently on Emerald Princess.  There are motion detector lights under each bedside table and in the ceiling in hallway to bathroom.  The bedside table lights go on every time the ship even lists slightly.  The one in the hallway goes on sometimes when clothes swing in the "closet" and anytime when someone opens the bathroom door.  During the night it is like trying to sleep on an airline runway!  Guest services says they can't be disconnected due to safety reasons.  We always have a nightlight for just such reasons.  The lack of uninterrupted sleep is not my idea of the ideal vacation.  The absolutely worse idea ever for a moving ship!

  6. Hi everyone!

Just touching base.  My weight is terrible.  After 74 days on a ship I am up 14 pounds!  Leaving Friday for 14 more days on Princess.  This summer will be payback time.  We still have 28 days more after the Princess ship.  Then during the summer we will stay home.  I hate to think what it would have been if I hadn't been walking on the ships.  Hope everyone is doing better than I am but again that is why I lost weight to begin with.  Belle enjoy your trip and Izena I have no desire to be in the water with a manatee!  Jan our cruise goes to Antigua and I saw your review of Beachlimerz.  We have been there since Covid and enjoyed it so much we plan to go back.  We'll off again in the morning.  Will continue to check in but will need Much support this summer!....Susan

  7. Our move by Princess was from an inside Plaza to an inside Riviera.   It was done by a phone call with us being able to pick which room we desired.  Nothing was said about CDC requirements and there was no printed exchange.  We were told Plaza deck was being used for quarantine of staff.  I assumed it was new staff arriving to ship not necessarily positive Covid cases.  I would think an inside room would suffice for that purpose.  After a few days and another negative test their time would be over.  We have no problem with the inside cabin for 14 days.  It was a casino comp.  Pay port taxes only and got Princess Plus included...no brainer.

  8. Welcome back Belle!  You did So Much better than I have done!  After 54 days on ships (not consecutively) I have found 9 of the 25 pounds that I had lost!  I also walk every morning on ship.  After having both hips replaced over the years I really enjoy walking.  It is my celebration of life to be able to walk without pain.  I guess I need to increase the amount of walking (since I am probably not going to decrease intake while on ship😁).  The other problem (not really a problem) is that we are leaving on 20 more days next week!  Hope everyone is doing well and will be posting all along....Susan
