  1. Took a look again today and all dining reservations have appeared back in my calendar! That's a miracle😄

    Me too!:D. I made sure to print them out and I hope you did too! That was a big scare for me. I never did receive an email from RCCL either. Honestly, we are diamond members and this is truly my favorite cruise line. I think the loyalty benefits have been fantastic and I am so looking forward to this cruise. That being said, this experience has also made me realize that there are other options out there.

    I will call them in the morning again if I still have not received anything.

     

    Same here....everything has disappeared, yet again (after having to rebook dining and entertainment a month ago). I do have a printout of everything so I am just taking it with me as trying to get any assistance from calling has not worked for months. I just refuse to waste any more time. Fingers crossed they will actual get it straight and honor my printouts. It is very sad that they are allowing these IT issues to continue.

     

    I am sorry to hear that I am not the only one this has happened to. You were way smarter than I to print your reservations out. I sincerely hope that things will straighten out.

     

    I did check my spam mail and I have not received anything there either, but thank you for the thought.:)

  4. Well you are slightly ahead of me I can't even book.

     

    Do you have printouts of your bookings?

     

    Sadly, I do not. What I paid for them still shows up in my total amount paid but my cruise planner remains empty. I wish I had printed it out and I certainly will if it reappears.

  5. Dont get me wrong, quite a few of us had complaints... but for the most part (well the parts that bothered me...) most of the issues were fixable (except maybe dynamic dinning. Quantum is a wonderful ship, theres a lot to do on it which you cant do on other ships (iFly for one). Dont be sad, I think it'll be a surprise to your expectations, just dont expect it to be similar to another RCL cruise.

     

    Thank you and I sure hope you are right.:). I am not normally a complainer and have thoroughly enjoyed every cruise I have been on. I just haven't run into this kind of stuff when planning a cruise before.

     

    It is very scary to think that all of my pre paid stuff is gone.

  6. I was really, really looking forward to my upcoming cruise in January on this beautiful looking ship. Despite some negative reviews on the TA cruise, I was still ready to judge for myself. That being said........

     

    I am extremely frustrated, at this point, to say the least. I had incredible trouble booking dining reservations as the show times keep changing. I wrote a letter to Adam Goldstein and got an immediate response and honestly thought that everything was straightened out. I bought over 2,000 dollars worth of excursions, drink packages and specialty dining. Now it appears as though ALL of my reservations have disappeared!:mad:

     

    They are simply not showing up in my cruise planner at all. When I called RCCL, a nice young man assured me that they were still there on his side and said that he was sending me an email,which I still have not received, over two hours ago.

     

    I am very, very sad about this.

  7. Believe me, I was the biggest fan of dynamic dining for the most part. I wasn't a fan of eating so early at 6:00 or as late as 8:30. However, this is BEYOND frustrating. I am frustrated every day at work, the last thing I need is to have to, FOUR times now, take major time out to deal with all of this. If the booking were easy, it'd be a totally different story. But I feel like I'm already exhausted before I even get on the ship!! I quit booking reservations. We are just going to wing it. I'll eat every night in the Windjammer if I have to. I'm usually a huge RCI cheerleader and still am, but this is way more work than I ever want to put into any vacation.

    Hi Christie,

     

    I am also a huge Royal fan and had many problems booking dining. I wrote not one, but two letters about it directly to Adam Goldstein and received an immediate response and was also able to straighten everything out. One thing that may help you out with dinner reservations is that you must cancel completely before booking another reservation. Once I figured this out, I had no problems at all changing things around.

  8. We are huge Chef's Table fans. Thank you for this information. We have a reservation for our January cruise on Quantum that I will now cancel.:(

     

    To each his own, but I really enjoyed the elegant experience of interacting with the Chef, having place settings, and the cookbook was a lovely touch with the Chef's autograph. I have made several recipes from each of our three cookbooks and it always brings back fond memories.

  9. I must tell you guys, I got so frustrated with booking reservations online for the Quantum that I wrote a letter to Adam Goldstein yesterday. I got a phone call from the executive office not once, but twice, today in response. The person that I spoke with was extremely apologetic and gracious and bent over backwards to help me.

     

    I just wanted to say that I am not normally a complainer and I LOVE Royal Caribbean. My husband is a small business owner and he really listens to his customers. It is refreshing to know that a company this large and profitable also listens. I am extremely impressed.

  10. I love all of your replies to this thread!:D. Call me Mary Poppins, but I could not be more excited to sail on the Quantum in January!

     

    The technology sounds amazing and, although I am sure there will be glitches, they'll get it right eventually! You guys! They are attempting major cutting edge stuff here! It all sounds cool to me and I am sure most of it will work well enough. I am so looking forward to seeing it first hand!

  11. I just saw on Twitter that the wristbands will be 2 dollars each. We just came back from Disney World and used the magic bands there. They were awesome! You didn't need to bring another thing with you. No purse. No ID holders. No cash. It was really nice not to worry about losing anything.

  12. We attended the Prohibition party on the Allure and absolutely LOVED it!! I don't want to give too much away, but bring a flapper dress and headband! It is great fun and some of the best money we spent on the cruise!! It is very "campy" and you have to be willing to get into the spirit of it!;)

     

    If you go, tell Mr. Gold I said hi!:D

  13. C'mon Eagles!!!! I've got the drink package riding on tonites game.

     

    I am so dreaming on watching the E-A-G-L-E-S on our January 19th cruise on the Allure! However! As a "normal". Eagles fan I am so nervous about tonight's game! Waaaaaaay too many people are predicting a birds victory!:eek:
