Maybe Carnival, once they recover and make a profit again, should have two brand ambassadors.  One "young hipster" on Instragram or TikTok or whatever is the app-du-jour for the folks with no attention span; and John Heald for those of us that remember the good old 1980s.

    I volunteer as tribute! 😉

well, just got an email that my PVP is no longer with the carnival, and that a new PVP would be assigned to me. This really sux, I had the same one for over twenty years.

This is what I am worried about!!! I emailed mine yesterday and haven't heard anything from her!

  3. I elected FOBC for my cancelled cruise but I have not seen it yet.  I would expect it to take less time than the refunds/FCC but who knows.  My cruise was just cancelled in this last round so it hasn't been that long for me yet.  If I don't see it by the end of May I will start to get concerned.

Also, not entirely sure how it will work...will it be a Certificate that I can apply to any cruise? Will they apply it automatically to my next scheduled cruise so I can see it in the Planner?  I'm not really sure and it wasn't entirely clear on the website.  Either way, I'm okay with, just curious to know.

So what type of fee is required to participate in these activities?  We always enjoy going to the Chef's demo cooking, but usually no fee involved just have to get there early enough for a seat.  How does this compare?  Thanks!

I was on Panorama in January.  These are classes, not demos.  You do the cooking.  The prices varied from $15-$35 per class if I remember correctly.  Nearly every class was sold out on my sailing. There are only 10-14 seats per class so it fills up quick!

    On the Panorama

    1) was wondering if magnetic hooks would work on the cabin walls?

    2) can you only get eggs benedict in the dining room?  I know on HA  you can get them at one of the buffet stations.

    3) I really like my HP sauce with eggs/hashbrowns?  Any chance it is available at least in the dining room if not at the buffet?  OR should I bring my own?

    4) will they supply extension cords for a CPAP machine?  On a recent cruise with HA they did.

    5) can you store empty suitcases under the bed?

    6) do they have a library that you can borrow/sign out a book or is it a trading type library?

    7) do they play "scavenger hunt" games using your cell phones?

Would appreciate any answers as we are going Mar. 14!  Thanks!

    1. Magnetic Hooks work

    2. There are rotating benedicts at the buffet station, sometimes salmon, sometimes crab

    5. Yes, plenty of space

    6. Yes, and currently its pretty well stocked

Those are the ones I can help with, I don't know the answers to the rest.

  6. On the Panorama in January, I had $500 free play loaded onto my card.  I was actually able to play that almost the whole cruise and came home with $1100.  That was a first for me!  Plus the point accrued while playing ensure that the offers continue.  Although  my BIL who hasn't cruised in over a year, gets way better offers than I do!

  7. Got this from Royal Caribbean today.  Not an issue for me, because I was not going to get off in Nassau anyway, but we did go from being the only ship at CocoCay to possibly sharing with Navigator...Cruise Time Tables haven't updated yet so not entirely sure.

    Dear Guest,

We look forward to welcoming you onboard Mariner of the Seas for our March 6th, 2020 sailing. Before we begin our adventure, we have some important information to share with you.

We’ve swapped the days we visit Perfect Day at CocoCay with Nassau, Bahamas in order to conduct some routine maintenance work in our Thrill Waterpark area. As a result of this change, we’ve adjusted our time in Nassau to 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, instead of 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this change, but we assure you that you’ll still have a great time with us. Below, please find our revised itinerary.

While there, lounge in our Oasis Lagoon, the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool, or take the plunge down North America’s tallest waterslide, Daredevil’s Peak! When hunger strikes, indulge in all-you-can-eat tacos and guac at Skipper’s Grill and Chill Grill. Or, swing by Snack Shack, whose array of fresh bites are perfect for those grab & go moments. Need a refreshing beach cocktail? Captain Jack’s is the perfect place to kick back with live music and great views. Soar to new heights on Up, Up & Away or just unwind at your leisure. After that, we’ll head to Nassau, the quintessential vacation destination. Explore the streets and tunnels of the lost city of Atlantis or pose with dolphins in Dolphin Cay. Immerse yourself in life under the sea with an up-close close glimpse of over 250-marine species in the underground aquarium. Whatever you choose to do, we’re sure you’ll have a great time everywhere we take you!

Any pre-paid Royal Caribbean International shore excursions for Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau will automatically be rescheduled for you. In the next few days, you’ll receive an email with your updated tour details. Then, feel free to continue browsing all the exciting shore excursion options for your sailing in Cruise Planner.

Thanks for your understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you!

    Sincerely,

I read all of their reviews for this year and only one was good. Now I don't know what level of service they bought. You have to get the executive sedan for curbside. But I won't be happy if I pay nearly double the price only to wait an hour and a half for a prius.

I just used PTS Executive Service at LAX in January for our Panorama cruise.  We had a couple of flight delays so that was not on them, but we did end up standing on the curb waiting for a while even after we collected our luggage and followed the directions in the email confirmation.

That being said, it was a full size black Cadillac Escalade for me and my mother, so at least no Prius after that!

I have several premier and getaway offers this year. Does anyone  know if i cash out and keep my $500 free play but i have 2 other cruises already booked on other casino offers, will they cancel my future booked cruises if they see  I am not gambling? Thanks

I am not sure which ship you have the FreePlay on, but lately I have not been able to cash out FreePlay.  It is coded as Promotional in your player bank.  Anything you win will be added to your bank as cash, but you must play through all of the FreePlay first.  So far that has been the case on the Panorama, Breeze and Ecstasy.  On the Sunshine, I just received cash at the cage and could do whatever I wanted with it.

I understand they are sent to you...but is it USPS, UPS, FedEx?

    Are some packages signature required?

    Thank you in advance 🙂

AND Thank you so much for sharing the information!!!

The cards you get from Allstate are sent via UPS and require a signature if it is over $500.  If it is under that limit, they are sent USPS and do not require a signature.

  11. I often sail with my 77 year old mother and while I love the casino, she has no interest.  In the evening, she very often sits in the Centrum area (depending on the ship) or where ever there is music playing, or she will take an evening stroll around the top deck.  During the day, she enjoys the trivia games or sometime she has found a game of LRC or Mexican Train Dominoes.  We do many things together but we each enjoy our own things as well.  We always come together for dinner, and it is fun to catch up on what the other did all day.  Family is great, but alone time has its benefits too!  🙂

Hello! We just booked an Oat tour of Egypt with pre-trip to Jerusalem & Jordan for 1/14/21 to 2/5/21. Anyone else going??  Actually just canceled a similar Viking Egypt tour as it turns out, once OAT finally posted their dates, that Oat’s trip is around $10,00 less than what we’d already paid Viking! OAT actually includes Masada, which Viking doesn’t go to at all, & Abu Simbel at no extra cost ( Viking charged $700 more). We do love traveling with Viking but are looking forward to OAT. We know the level of luxury  isn’t the same but have read  excellent Reviews of OAT.

I did the OAT Egypt& the Eternal Nile in September with the Jordan Pre-Trip extension.  I can tell you that to date, it is the most amazing trip I have ever been on.  The trip leaders were the best I have ever had and the small group size (16 on our tour), and small ship (10 cabin private dahabeya) meant that we could stop at places that the larger ships could not.  We watched the big Nile boats (including the Viking ship Ra) and I have to say, I was very glad we did not choose Viking for this trip.  We had so many cool experiences that we were only able to do as a small group.  We were also able to get to the big sites at different times than the larger tours so we were hardly ever crowded, even at the pyramids and Abu Simbal.

I loved that trip so much, I am planning to do it again with my adult kids in the future.

La Luna Bar. 15007 - a few steps away from that wonderful Topsail entry door. Fantastic location - we never heard a thing.

I have that same cabin reserved for a solo Divina YC cruise next March.  Hopefully the butlers turn over by then, but like you, I can't imagine it being more than a minor issue.  Very glad to hear that the location is good!
