  1. Here is an example of a Chef's Table with people allergic to shellfish and soy.  My meal was the regular offering, but others were allergic.  There was no noticeable delay to our meal in accommodating the allergies.  The chef's are awesome and they have a plan for people with every type of allergy.

Of course everything is subjective, but I think it is worth it and I reserve it every cruise even though the menu rarely changes.  It is my treat to me!

I'll add on to what Tapi says.  I have sailed MSC about 10 times, Royal about 50 times, I say that they are like cruising used to be.  Beautiful ships, good food, drinks, more like a traditional ocean liner.  No bumper cars, skating rinks, ropes courses, etc.  But, I physically cannot do all that stuff.  I'm on Divina now, had friends sailing Allure, out of the same embarkation port, same day.  A solo cabin on Allure would have cost me over $2,000.  I've got a solo balcony here for $500.

In normal times, MSC in the Caribbean has a very European clientele, people loyal to MSC fly over to sail the Carib.  You get on the elevator, people are speaking German, Polish, etc.  Announcements are made in multiple languages.  Currently, of course, it's mostly Americans.  MSC also has their kids sail free promotion, which I believe is 12 or under.  For the price, try them once.  See what you think.

So true about the solo pricing difference!  I have a solo B2B on Divina in April that never would have been possible on Royal for the price.  This will only be my 2nd (& 3rd) cruise with MSC after 25 with Royal but I have really enjoyed the European feel to MSC.  Looking forward to seeing Ocean Cay as well!

Good morning! All of my cruises are missing from the website and app. I am guessing there is some sort of glitch that y'all are working on?

Hi, Rachel. Yes, our IT team is aware and we are currently working through these glitches at this time. We are advising guests they can still use Firefox as their browser as we’re seeing it work properly through there. -Sam"

  4. So I have had the situation happen and yes, they did refund the second person.  They also refunded the second person port taxes and pre-paid gratuities.  It was automatic and I did not have to even go to guest services.  Once the second person did not check in by sail away, every thing was refunded.  You are of course out the cruise fare, but sometimes that is cheaper than cancelling the second person prior to the cruise and having them re-price the cabin as a solo.

Really disappointed they just cancelled our sailings on vision out of bermuda.  Especially since both weeks of our b2b were casino offers.  Hopefully they let us move our offers to another bermuda sailing.  We love bermuda.

Just tried the clubroyale site nothing showing yet when I input booking numbers.

I tried the same thing.  My Alaska cancellation on Quantum took 24 hours to show up on the clubroyale site so I will check again tomorrow.

Yes, it’s an older ship, and the itinerary leaves a lot to be desired, but I’m tempted to book it. I just don’t know which week will work for me.

I live in Charlotte so it was a no brainer.  The itinerary is boring...that's for sure, but I booked it as soon as I saw the airfare just to get back to sailing.  I booked the second sailing, July 3.  I had some pretty good offers for the NAS sailings as well, but the airfare clinched the Bermuda sailing.

  7. I just got a RoyalUp cancellation email for my July 3 cruise on Vision out of Bermuda.  I will be interested to see if this is the same issue as before.  I was able to go online and rebid, although the minimum bids were triple what they were when I originally bid!

I'm normally a Royal C cruiser (have done 2 Carnival cruises in the past) but I decided to check here with Carnival's announcement. Question: does Carnival also offer cruises in the Caribbean outside of the US (CDC)?

Not at the moment.  Carnival has said that they would prefer to sail from their US homeports and currently have no plans to move to a Caribbean homeport.  That could always change, but that is their current position.

  9. As Ken said, everything should be refunded (flights excluded as unknown).  Cruise planner purchased will be refunded to your card.  Do you still have any accounts with Amex?  If so, and just one card was cancelled and another opened, Amex will know that and refund the purchase to the new card.  If you have no relationship with Amex, it will bounce back and you will have to go through the extended process.  The cruise fare will most likely be refunded as an FCC for the full amount of the cruise.

What casino did you play at that had a relationship with Princess?

    As sprocket says - Venetian/Palazzo = Princess

    MGM Resorts = Royal Caribbean/Celebrity

    Caesars = NCL

But a free cruise from any of these is usually only at the highest tier.

Saw the latest offer for Navigator sailings out of LA.  I would love to book the balcony offer for 7 night jan 17th cruise but we fly to barbados for b2b on grandeur beginning of february and that would be too much time off from work that close together.  Darn work!!!

@Sunshine3601 - I feel like you are following me around!! 😜  I am sailing July 3 on Vision out of Bermuda and I think you sail shortly after.  Then I am sailing January 30 from Barbados on Grandeur!! No b2b's for me though, work gets picky when I miss more that one week at a time.

We had a b2b booked for august to bermuda on freedom.  I really doubt sailings will be happening out of cape liberty this august.  So they let me move funds I paid for one of those sailings to book the vision freebie for august 14th.   Was able to upgrade to aft balcony and still getting $95 refund.

May just turn our 2nd freedom sailing into a b2b on vision.

Yes, keeping your Vegas reservation is a good idea.

    Which sailing did you book?

I booked July 3.  I was kind of excited about watching fireworks over the strip, but I would 100% rather be cruising if possible.

Saw another freebie OV cabin for bermuda sailings this summer posted this morning.  Also checked flights thru air2sea are now dirt cheap.  $149 pp RT out of Phl.  Lots of cabins of all categories available for various dates I checked.  Guess the people that wanted cruises to basically nowhere arent booking.

I finally bit on this one.  I was already planning a land trip to Las Vegas, but the cheap air + the free cruise were going to be about the same as what I was spending on just airfare to Las Vegas.  I'm not cancelling my hotels in LV, though...just in case!

Thanks to information posted in this thread, I was just able to change my 3-day Mariner October 29, 2021 sailing to its 4-day October 29 sailing. It took two minutes to change it online, and it was posted to my cruise profile within 30 minutes.

The only problem is I want to book another cabin and the cruise isn’t listed on the Royal Caribbean website yet. I guess they are withholding it so people on the original cancelled cruise have a chance to book it.

Exactly my experience!  See you on the 4 night sailing! 🙂

We were also supposed to be on the October 29 cruise . Does the revised October 29 return on Tuesday, November 2 ? If so that sounds great!

I believe it does.  There is no itinerary for it yet, but it is now a 4 day and it still leaves on Oct 29 so that is what I think is happening.  The next scheduled cruise that can be booked is a 5 night cruise on November 5 which would leave the option for two 4 days, Oct. 29 & Nov. 2.  No insider info at all, just my WAG, but I would be happy with that!

We are booked the 29 Oct sailing on Mariner. I think the same date is available in Navigator out of Fort Lauderdale for 3 days under Option 2.

I’m going to try to switch to that one. But I’ll wait a day or two. If I call today, I’ll be lucky to get through to Royal by the 29th!  LOL. 😳😳😳

I used the online link so I didn't have to call. I've done a couple of Lift & Shift's using the online tool and they have worked out okay, so I am hopeful that this does as well, but if not I guess I will call in a day or two as well.

That Navigator one would be my second choice, but I am already on the Navigator October 15 sailing two weeks earlier!  Still, any ship is better than no ship!  I really love both the Mariner & the Navigator so either one is really fine.
