I’m sorry, that is so dreadful. You must all be extremely anxious. I honestly can’t imagine how you are all coping with this. I read the British government are in urgent talks trying to find somewhere for you to dock.

My wife and I were on this cruise as well. We have no symptoms and we feel great (biked 25 miles today) and are not concerned. We will wait for Celebrity to issue some sort of response to the "supposed" effected passenger before we take the advice of "Dr. Wonderman"
It is people like you who are spreading this deadly disease. I am totally disgusted by your unpleasant response.

Wonder man, I so agree with you. I read most of these posts and feel like I’m living in an alternative universe. I have an autoimmune disease and am severely immune compromised. I need another immunotherapy infusion next week and have to fly to get it. I am panic stricken at having to fly and these people treat it all as a joke or say Its not serious. They just blow my mind.

NCL have already implemented it. You have to get a form filled out before travel, stating you are healthy and no respiratory problems. Cruise fare refunded by FCC if unable to travel. See their cruise critic forum.

Can I use the FCC I get for cancelling my April cruise to pay for an existing booking or only new bookings?
Thanks

Adding you to ignore... seems you want to play games like the other guy. I have been on here (including when it was an AOL chatroom) for 20 years...only had 2 on ignore...after this weekend it is up to 4. Oh well....anyways this is my last post in this thread. Good luck to all...hopefully Royal will take into consideration some of the key points discussed in this thread.
I am sure you are on many peoples ignore list!

Have their TA call back and try as I suggested. It is not something that they volunteer but like I said I’ve done this.
From my experience most TA’s do not even know about this.
Thank you, I will

Have them call their TA or Royal if they booked direct. With a child under 2 they can actually book themselves into a double occupancy cabin if they are using a pack n play. I’ve done this before. The savings are significant.
Our TA booked it and this was the cheapest fare she could get. She actually called RCCL sneaky making you go up a category even if you didn’t need an extra bed. I guess we were only aware of this because we were booking a cabin for two at the same time. Otherwise we would have thought it was a good deal. On the invoice the 11 month old old is only charged taxes etc, it is the two adults who are paying more than my husband and I.

We are sailing on the Kids Sail Free promo in October on the Harmony. My husband and I are paying around 1900 for a balcony room. My son and his wife and 11 month old daughter are paying 2600. To book 3 people in a balcony cabin means they have to go up a category, this is despite the fact that their daughter will be sleeping in their own pack and play. Doesn’t really feel like kids sail free to us!

I am trying to find current menus on the Harmony of the Seas. When I enter this in the search function the responses I get from it have varied from zero results to totally extraneous ones, nothing related to menus and most not related to the Harmony of the seas. Can anyone help me with this? I did look at the menus on other sites but they are mainly not current ones. Thanks

the towels are fairly scratchy and ratty but we are using the beach towels as bath towels.
How can the towels be in such poor condition on a reasonably new ship? Have you complained about them?

How does someone's niece decide they are going to maybe go on a cruise with their aunts & uncles ???
If you do decide to take her, remember to bring some documentation from her parents that you have permission to take a minor not your daughter out of the country...
When she’s very loved and a delight to be with. We have several that would qualify.

Was there a table to eat at on the balcony? I’m sorry but chairs without arms do not do it for me, I find them dreadfully uncomfortable and difficult to get up off.
I did like the color scheme throughout.. -
I agree the rest of the ship is much busier and loud. However the most raucous ship I’ve ever been on was the Summit to Bermuda from Bayonne. I have never seen so much arguing between passengers and even a fight by the pool!
I was interested to read your review and have to say it greatly surprised me. Your experience was so different to what we found ours to be on the Seaside. We almost booked a Mediterranean cruise on MSC for next year but went with Viking instead.

Nowhere else on any Celebrity Cruises (I’ve done 10 of them) would I say I’ve encountered anything close to a snob attitude. Kind of an odd assessment that I would expect to hear more from a Cunard experience or Oceania that market themselves as more luxury. Of course MSC’s clientele based what I saw onboard seems to be an NCL/Carnival type of crowd, so if you’re used to that more raucous atmosphere, the more subdued vibe on Celebrity ships might put you off.
The three cruises that I’ve taken on the Seaside in the Yacht Club were exceptionally quiet and peaceful. We often had the lounge to ourselves. They were far more subdued than any cruise I’ve taken on Celebrity.

We have gone ahead and booked 8003 for next year. Only wish it were sooner!

We are looking at 8002, 8003 and 8019. Does the noise from the Explorers lounge drift up at all into the two forward cabins? I see 8019 is over the Owners suite.
Thanks

We have sailed on the Seaside three times in the Yacht Club and always had excellent internet service.

What brand is the water you get in the package?

Or just walk 🙂 it's a flat, less than 15 minute walk to the town.
How nice if we all could. I need to save my energy to sightsee so riding there and back is a necessity for me.
Re the cost, I think many people don’t want to be bothered getting a taxi or arranging their own transport so I think the Celebrity cost is reasonable.

I read on another thread that only the end balconies were closed while in the locks. We have the center vista suite on the Lido deck and were intending spending our time during the transit on the balcony. I hope we will be able to do that

I agree that the Captain of the vessel needs to maintain a professional relationship with the passengers. I have always found it strange how people talk about her as if she’s a personal friend. The fact that she is selling her own personal line of jewelry just leaves me almost speechless. How can that be allowed to happen?

Why do we continue to blame the cruise lines like Celebrity?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Iola2013 I think this will remain more than a bad memory. I think it will be life changing for many people particularly those who have had to deal personally with it.
I think the blame for the situation lies equally between the cruisers who thought it was fake news or that they needed a vacation and they were going, and the cruise companies who didn’t stop sailing soon enough.
Regarding Celebrity, I cannot get over the fact that they disregarded the fact that there had been people on board the Summit who later tested positive for Covid19 and they did nothing about it. The port that allowed them to dock should also take some blame for this.
It is a dreadful situation and we should all be doing our part to help it not hinder it.
