  1. Just got our travel documents today, and this is what they say about transfers:

"On the scheduled day of boarding, our cruise line representatives will

be inside the baggage claim area or in the case of an international

flight, outside the Customs Hall between the hours of 9:00 AM and

1:00 PM to assist you with transportation to the ship. Actual transfers

begin at approximately 10:30 AM and depart approximately every

    hour until 1:00 PM"

    Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for this reply....just what we wanted to know.

  2. Considering Princess cruises trip from Singapore to Freemantle August 2015

Singapore | Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My), Vietnam | Sihanoukville, Cambodia | Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand | Ko Samui, Thailand | Bali (Benoa), Indonesia | Fremantle, Australia

Please does anyone know if any vaccinations are compulsory/ recommended for UK citizens?

Also anyone have any thoughts or comments on the trip ?

Might stay for a few days in Singapore prior to cruise , spend few weeks in Australia afterwards, then stop in Dubai on way home.

Thank you in advance for any helpful suggestions.

  3. We flew into IAH last November and will be again this November. We stayed at the Marriott right at the airport. Thought it was nice, but not much around so we just ate at the hotel. Then we used Princess transfers and walked upstairs to get on the bus. The Marriott is attached to IAH. Very convenient. Have fun, we are flying to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow to join the Royal on Sunday...

    Have a great holiday !

Please can you help with a few questions about the Marriott at IAH ?

Does the hotel have a shuttle bus that will drop passengers to and collect from a nearby Walmart/ Target or similar ?

Is there anywhere nearby- within walking distance where we can purchase wine to take aboard the ship ??

    Many thanks.

  4. We need to take passports because we travel from UK.

However, we usually leave them in cabin safe and carry photocopies ashore, along with drivers' licences for photo ID

Not sure what the big deal is about taking passports along...perhaps it's a UK. V US difference.

PS. Not wishing to be flamed for mentioning this !!!

  5. Thanks so much for this information- have asked previously but failed to get a clear response.

Would be great if the hotel has a shuttle to visit a Walmart.

Unfortunately, the email address for the concierge at the Marriott seems difficult to find, so I haven't managed to contact them regarding a shuttle service.

Suppose a taxi wouldn't be too expensive, and probably cheaper than buying wine on the ship.

    Thanks again for your information.

  6. Yes we fly in the day before the cruise, stay overnight at the Marriott hotel on the airport site, then catch the transfer to the port.

Didn't realise there was an issue about catching transfer if arrive day before departure.....Maybe it's because it's an international flight and it's an international transfer shuttle service ????
