  1. Cruising can become addictive. I went on my first cruise in January of 2008 on The Spirit. In late May I was on the Getaway for the 5th time and my 25th cruise in total. At the moment I currently have 5 cruises booked and trying to figure out how to add a 6th. I am booked on the Sun in late September, back to back on the Getaway over Christmas, The Jewel in late January and The Pearl in late November 2016.

One cruise at a time is fine. I understand that Regent has a 128 day Round The World coming in 2017. That is a little over 4 1/2 months on a very small ship. I am not so sure about that cruise, it would be fun though.

  2. Personally I hope he is enjoying some well deserved family time and enjoying being with them and not in Miami.

Agree With him having to be in Miami for work and family living in New York city since losing their home on Long Island during Hurricane Sandy, I hope that he is getting lots of quality family time. Well Earned Sir

  3. It is a wonderful cruise. I have done it from Miami to LA and from LA to Miami. It is a two week cruise. I am doing a 10 day roundtrip Miami- Miami Partial Panama Cruise on The pearl in November 2016. She will go through one set of locks into Gatun Lake turn around and return back out to Colon, Panama before beginning Her journey back to Miami.

I can not wait for this adventure.

  4. All of the Alaskan cruises are great.

When I pick one it is based on: (1) How much time do I have, (2) How much money do I have, (3) Which port city- Seattle or Vancouver is best- flight wise, price wise.

You will have a great time on matter which ship or itinerary works best for you.

  5. The 2 Hour Rule is for when you board the ship in your Embarkation Port-like Miami, New York City, etc.

YOu MUST be on board 2 hours prior to whatever your sailing time is. For instance if you are scheduled to sail at 4:00 P.M. You would be required to be on board by 2 P.M.

  6. Our flight home isn't until evening. Does anyone have any suggestions for something to do for the day before we go to the airport? We will have already seen Pearl Harbor and we really don't want to ride around in a bus all day. Are there any hotels that might have a day room?

Are you doing a pre-cruise hotel package? If so, ask them if they have "day" rooms.
