Seward late
I stand corrected on this missing strawberry situation. They were delivered sometime in the evening while I was at the spa.
We now have two trays of chocolate covered strawberries that will spoil if left overnight.
If anyone wants to know how to MacGyver the room fridge so as to fit two trays of late night chocolate covered strawberries hit me up.
Update on the security incident from last week:
It took security until 2:00am to find the couple who threw the drink on our friends. Security knocked on the offending couple’s cabin door to explain the following:
-they had reviewed the security camera footage
-the glass and the drink were used as a weapon
-their actions put others in danger and these actions violate the terms and conditions in the cruise contract
-if there was an upcoming port the two guests would have been removed from the ship at their own expense
-since we didn’t have any ports before the cruise ended (Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier days) they would be allowed to stay on board
-their beverage package was terminated and they were not allowed any alcohol for the remainder of the cruise
YEAH!! Good for Security.

At the very bottom of the Access Desk Form there is a section that specifically deals with food issues.
I would fill out the form so that your information can be tagged into your room key card. Every time you present your card at a restaurant, your information will show up on their computer and printed out for the waiter.
Enjoy your cruise. What a wonderful adventure.

I travel solo all the time. Rarely do I make reservations. I usually show up at the posted opening time and can be seated as a solo within a few minutes including Cagney's. I would not worry about it.

Thank You Chief As you well know, working onboard any ship not just a cruise ship is NOT easy especially if you are young and this is your first time away from home.

May I suggest talking with the General Manager and the Executive Housekeeper.

I was just saying to a cruise friend that being a crew member takes a very special type of person. Over the years, I have seen so many crew members not surviving the first few weeks of a contract.

Jewel Class ships do not require reservations. Theater doors open 30 minutes prior to the stated show times. Shows are usually 7:30 and 9:00 or 9:30. The second show is a repeat of the first one.

Have a safe journey home.
When is your next grand adventure?

Keith, it is being reported that a couple got left behind in a port a couple of days ago and re-joined the ship in Palma. What have you heard?
When is you next adventure?

The Sun left Seattle, WA yesterday on Her first Alaskan cruise of the season yesterday evening.

Have you sat down with the Restaurant Manager Noel Chaves about the food labeling? Ask, maybe he can fix it for you or see how to make ingredients more clearly.

....but no ports? That's the only reason I am breaking tradition and not booking the inaugural TA.
As of today, Southampton, UK to Boston, MA--Sea Days all the way. Like the Getaway in 2014-Southampton, UK to New York City. Only difference, The Getaway left Southampton in mid January arriving in NYC to act as a hotel for the Super Bowl.

The POA is the ONLY ship in the Norwegian fleet that is incorporated in the US (Honolulu) rather than in the Bahamas, hence most of Her staff have to come from the US. She has a lot more rules and regulations (environmental and employment for two) to follow than other NCL ships. Which is why cruises on the POA are so expensive.
The POA is small enough to dock or tender in Hawaiian ports. Not sure but I think the Prima class ships would be too big to service most if not all of the POA's ports of call.

So, given no reservations at Hudson's, how long did it take to get a table?
Can't recall the CD's name, but he was the same one we had on the Prima Feb cruise. He's good.
Not a Disco fan, but I really enjoyed "DONNA", too.
Cruise Director: Alvin Oliva Very good Been with NCL a long time Was once the "Bingo Boy".

Does anyone know what cruise staff/ bar crew members will be there from November 11-15th 2024 on the Jade
Hopefully by this point in November all of the crew members for The Aqua will haven selected. Usually means a number of staff shifts throughout the system will occur. Hard to say what staff member will be assigned where by mid November.

Prayers for a smooth embarkation this morning.
With 3 ships docked at Canada Place, it could be interesting.
The RCCL Radiance of the Seas has been docked since late Thursday night. They allowed passengers to board on Friday hoping to sail Saturday evening. Cruise was canceled Saturday with all passengers leaving yesterday. I was hoping they would g et Her moved this morning.
Now you have The Radiance, The Ovation and The Jewel all docked at Canada Place.

Love and prayers always,

I believe it's only 3, not 5. Tortola is safer than most US cities. Something else is going on. All of the people are from the DR..... Maybe they don't want to go back to the DR. Maybe they were running from something. The environmental excuse is really bogus, NCL uses that excuse a lot
Five in total. The First 3 were two men and and a woman. The other 2 were two men, one from The Netherlands. All five from The Sky.

If NCL has reason to believe that a port of call is unsafe for passengers, YES they will cancel it. They have canceled calls to Acapulco on a number of occasions. I have been on Panama Canal cruises where Acapulco was canceled.

From all the media reports I have seen, NO ONE was seriously hurt or needed off ship medical attention.
