  1. I think the Fantasy class ships will be around for a while.  Carnival has been making major upgrades to them.  The Paradise recently had balconies and a new Grand deck added with suites and scenic ocean view cabins.  I enjoy the Fantasy class ships, but my wife prefers the larger ships.

Hey Sid! I'm sailing on the Sunrise this week (and next), and instead of docking in Bermuda today, we are in Charleston. Damn you Humberto! Anyway,  while Patti shops I am sitting at a bar having the first of many drinks. I will raise the next one to you! Have a great cruise and I look forward to your adventures, especially at the Alchemy Bar. We love the raspberry martini's there.😀

Sorry you didn't make it to Bermuda.  We are supposed to go to Bermuda on the Magic week after next.  Hopefully all of the storms will calm down by then.

  3. They are actually past the beach area.  There is a sea wall in front of them, so if you want to go into the water, you have to walk down the path.  Some cabanas are far from the water.  I've never rented one, so I can't answer if any are accessible, but I believe there is a paved path all the way down to them.

  4. Happy Anniversary!  What a great way to celebrate.

We will be cruising out of Long Beach next year with a 4-day cruise on the Inspiration, and a 7-day Panorama cruise.  We're also considering staying on the Queen Mary between the two cruises.  It will be our first time out of Long Beach, and all of the ports will be new.  Hawaii is on our bucket list for retirement.

Looking forward to another great review.

Well dang..I was hoping for no cancellation rebook fee but I guess I could handle $50pp.  It is not till next March but they changed my gdaughter spring break week. NEVER have they done this before! Ah well...

I recently had to change a cruise, and my PVP was able to get the fee waived.  I was expecting to pay the $50pp, and was pleasantly surprised when he was able to get it waived.  It's good to have a PVP who can go to bat on your behalf in cases like this.

Following this. We're doing a B2B on the Horizon in February. Im really excited I've never done a B2B before. I heard also depending on the ship and person running the show sometimes after everyone goes to customs they take you to a room and give you snacks and drinks and a certificate saying back to back cruiser and take a picture of everyone who's doing a back to back.

I've only done one b2b, but we had a package that was in our stateroom on the first cruise.  I took everything that was in the package with me to the meeting time at the end of the first cruise where we were given our new S&S cards.  They took us off the ship, and just partially down the gangway where we met with the customs officer.  The customs officer wanted to see everyone's port clearance document which would allow you to debark, and leave the port if you desired to do so.  Not everyone brought their packages since they weren't planning to leave the ship, but they couldn't get back onboard until the customs officer saw that form.  The ship's officer who was overseeing everyone had to send someone to get extra copies of these documents for the people who didn't bring theirs.

After everyone was back onboard, we had a group photograph taken with the CD and all of the b2b cruisers.  There were also snacks and drinks served at the atrium bar.

  7. I'm sure you can check 4 bags and carry on whatever you need.  I've never worried about limiting how many bags I carry, but I do try to only take what is needed.  I've never seen anything that said that you could only take 2 bags each, but that doesn't mean it's not out there.  Just make sure to tip the porters well when you drop your bags off.
