It’s that time of year when the fog in Tampa Bay can be bad. The Carnival Pride has just now turned into the channel for its return.

I have enjoyed following along on the first leg. I will be looking forward to reading about the rest. I’m enjoying your review style.

I've never heard of this. Maybe the op can report back as it doesnt seem logical to get it the cruise before the leg where they will get it.
That was our experience. We were in the same situation as the OP. We were surprised to get platinum cards on the first leg of the B2B.

If your 2 cruises are linked, then you should be platinum when you get on the first cruise. We were in the same situation years ago, and we’re pleasantly surprised to have platinum cards when we got on. Check to see what your boarding documents say.

Thank you for taking the time to write this wonderful review. I found it late, but have enjoyed reading all of the posts. I enjoy your perspective as an Alaskan doing an Alaskan cruise. It seems you did a great job of planning to include great backup plans to use as needed.
I have really loved your detailed reviews of the meals. It makes me miss all of the wonderful offerings that Carnival has.
Alaska is on our bucket list to do some day. We will definitely be reviewing reviews like yours before going there.
Great pictures of the beautiful scenery of Alaska. I think getting out and seeing it on hikes is the best way to experience it all.

Thanks for the review! I’m getting ready to do a quick 4 day cruise on the Liberty. It will be my first time being solo.

I love it all. And the big tapestry going from the atrium bar to the funnel, across from the glass elevators...
I agree. I think the Miracle is my favorite as far as decorating of the ship. Bone the drink area though are sailing ships. Very unique, but easy to miss since your head is always down focusing on getting a drink.

By way of the 1990’s courtesy of one Joe Farcas, often imitated-but only by himself. Seriously no other cruise designer ever had the freedom and nerve to do stuff like this.
Honestly you either love, hate or just tolerate these designs because you want a cruise so bad.
My take is: you could only get away with this if you catered to working and middle class families, even 20-30 years ago. So that gives you the 3 big lines plus Disney that ever had a prayer of so much over the top themery. Little kids have gotta love this craziness. It’s also why Vegas has Excalibur and the Luxor, a brief era of fantasy-inspired getaways beyond almost any imagining.
I get why the garishness annoys people, plus it’s all showing age in other ways, dinged up furniture and mismatched lightbulb colors being just a couple of examples. But I also miss this what-will-they-dream-up-next creativity. Also the one of a kind nature of it. Ya ain’t a-gonna ever see another boat that looks like this one, folks. (Boat-ship police cringe now on cue). Just go with it. You WILL miss it later.
Loving your review and all of the pictures. We sailed on Miracle once when it was sailing out of Tampa. The next time you’re in the Lido dining room at the back drink station, look up over your head. I never noticed the decorations there until our last day. I tried o find a picture to post, but can’t locate it.

I’ve been having issues. Posting issues. Then I got a plan and then I couldn’t post while logged into the plan. Hopefully we’re good now.
Maybe Sid can help. I hear he has experience with this stuff.
