A bit off topic. How does it work with the bogo certificates if you are D+ and you travel solo? can you go twice for the price of 1?
-
If you are D+ and traveling solo, and you get a BOGO for the specialty restaurants can you go twice? or do they give you a discount like 50% off?

Up to a couple of days. Being in Florida make it a bit easier to jump very last minute on a ship.
-
Well yes, but I'm not sure I would agree with the definitive way you put it.
If you were talking NCL then sure the "way" better would apply.
But lots of good MDR meals as well as a few free lunch places really rock.
Atmosphere and less crowds clearly favor the for pay specialities.
Because I find Carnival food a bit meh!

The food on Regal was the main reason I chose to cruise 2 years in a row on her! totally agree with your comment on Horizon Court.
-
Looks amazing.

I order the Short Ribs one night and the Steak another night. Then I will usually order the Carbonara the third night. Yes we love it so much that on a 7 night cruise we eat at Cucina 3 nights. We also eat at the steakhouse one night.
In my opinion' date=' the food and service and worth the upcharge .
And the Tiramisu and Lemon Sorbeto. Are to die for!!![/quote']
Definitely on Carnival the upcharge restaurants are way better than the ones included in your cruise fare.

Is it a new press release? i googled and found 1 from December 2015.

As she is heading today for an extensive 3 weeks dry dock, I was wondering what will change because it'a a quite long one. The reason I'm asking is, because I'm planning to take a very last minute TA on April 28 all the way to Civitavecchia!
-
Let me tell you something. I ate 4 times @ Jiji's during my 7 day cruise. Go figure! it was $12.50 at the time, now it's $15 if not mistaken. Still worth every penny.

Couldn't agree more with you Tapi. HAL is definitely a step above Carnival!

Actually the Magic is in dry dock now. She has been in Freeport for 2 weeks. She sails back to Galveston possibly today. She has a sailing tomorrow. If you go to Carnival's website and look up the Magic. Go to dining and onboard activities. Right underneath each options it has a button to view more. Once you go there you can see everything that is coming soon. There will be a banner across it. Guy's Burger, Blue Iguana Cantina, Red Frog and more! She leaves for PC in April.
She left Freeport on Thursday evening, so I guess she will be reaching Galveston tonight!
-
Guess she will be leaving Freeport in the next 24 hours to reach Galveston on Sunday morning.
-
There is a fixed rate of $25 from MIA to Port of Miami. Don't remember if luggages are additional.
-
Is Freedom westbound already known?
-
Any pics from her in Freeport?
-
Isn't she leaving today to Freeport?

I just asked myself the very same question yesterday. If i will not be bored on a Vision Class ship for a TA. Since I live in the Caribbean, the Solarium won't do it for me. So Radiance Class which I have already done a TA with or one of the bigger class of ships will work.

Planning of cruising on the Magic in April or May after a 2 year hiatus with Carnival. At least there are a few more food options post dry dock. ANd there is always yummy Tandoor!
-
There is a casino in the cruise village right at the dock. Carnival Casino at the Renaissance hotel with better pay out than the ship's casino.
This is correct. It's a 5 min walk from the ship to the casino @ The Renaissance Hotel. You can even win a Kia car. Every other week someone wins a car. More than 110 people have already won one! To win the car you have to go to the dedicated slot machines.

I have eaten B&B on quite some cruise in the buffet! my favorite Carnival dessert too. Btw this chocaholic don't care at all for the Melting Cake!!
-
Magic will get most features Breeze has after her dry dock next month.
-
no pizza :(
There are much better things to eat on a cruise than pizza!

How does it work with BOGO if you are traveling solo?
