I booked it onboard on the 8/29 sailing and got the 50% discount. Did all through the app.
Wasn't aware it was on the Medallion app. Where is it? Thanks

Which ship are you referring to? I'm on the Ruby Princess, Oct. 31 round trip out of San Francisco. Have heard nothing yet from Princess, they are still showing Santa Barbara as the first stop, along with options to book shore excursions at that port.
Sorry --Oct 23 Majestic Princess

It's now an overnight in San Francisco and arriving earlier in San Diego

We're on the 10-23 cruise. It's always been a bit of an adventure cruise --flights still not ticketed by AA, no room assigned yet assigned by Princess (our first guarantee cruise), been to all ports except Santa Barbara! I am so looking forward to visiting Muir Woods...... Really looking forward to some pampering after a rough year. Always knew in my heart that Covid could intervene but hope springs eternal . 🥴

For 2021 cruises this is what I see:
Health Protocols for Cruises through 2021
For cruises through December 31, 2021, guests must have the following:
- Received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise
- Proof of vaccination
PLUS, for cruises through October 31, 2021, in addition to the above, guests must also:
- Have proof of a negative viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within 3 days of their embarkation
- Be required to wear a face mask in certain areas

Ok. So covered as long as all arrangements are made through Princess

Just read the fine print in the actual policy

Does someone want to venture an answer to this??
When does the voyage begin?
A. When boarding an EZAIR flight
B. When checking in for airport -> port if transfer purchased through Princess
C. When arriving at port if you arranged your own flight
D. When leaving home to eventually go to the ship
I'm asking this because I've booked insurance, air, transfers, pre-cruise hotel with Princess in December but usually do my own hotel.
See my note

Ombud: My understanding is it starts when you want the insurance coverage to begin within parameters set by Princess. The details are in the actual Princess policy. https://www.princess.com/plan/princess-vacation-protection/

A hypothetical or real-case scenario?

We too are fully vaccinated and will be on a California Coast sailing in late October. Princess requires us to be tested 3 days prior to sailing and we will add in a post-sailing one. We have KN95 masks for our direct flight to LA and drive to San Pedro, and return. As TinaLee says we will use common sense on the ship and on land -- as we always do.

Our last Dim Sum in SF was on a Chinatown tour. Any suggestions for near the Princess cruise terminal this October?

I've found no need for a pad since the new beds. I do request the sheet and blanket as I roast in a duvet.

I wouldn't have an idea on this if I hadn't posted it to my roll call. I got arrival time on Jun 23 for an August 29 sailing. Final payment was June 30. So 9 weeks a some days.
Sea Hag. Saw on the update today that you can use a virtual observable Covid test

I did check with our county health department. Their website says results back in four to six days. How that helps anybody at all, I don't know. An unvaccinated covid sufferer could be in a world of hurt before ever getting those results back.
Did you find a location?

Thanks for the thought, but the nearest location that comes up through Covid Clinic is that hour and a half away. This is definitely a puzzlement.
It is a puzzlement . We are able to use several locations including Public Health Dept, Walgreens, and CVS in southern New Mexico. What does your local doctor or medical facility have to say?

Yes, I did.
Me too. It's for cruises beginning on August 15 . They also refer to a letter https://*****/3AfAJYj

Our cruise is Oct 23. Decided to wait until closer to that time to fiddle with the app. Have parts of it done!

I lost a few things with this update -- checked that we are vaccinated and know what to bring to prove it, unless we have to scan that later. This too will pass!

I have measured the twins on several lines and they are 33” wide which makes about 66” Queen. EM
It's definitely smaller than a US King and wider than a US Queen

We've found the head waiter to be very helpful and will advise on what meals can be adjusted to your needs. We prebook our meal, after dinner, for the next day and have had some delicious sauces etc that are lower sodium. You may want to request GF sauces.

Well initially when I had one Medallion Account, I entered DW data as Travelling companion and I have the feeling that both names showed up on Order Medallion page. Both of our Photos showed on Personal Info page and I could switch between them.
Stupidly I created an account for her, though now it does not let me login to that account! Further compounding my stupidity, I deleted and re-installed the App, thinking that would fix a hiccup, it did not, and now it does not show DW though I have linked her as Travelling companion !
Yikes. I'll stick with us both on one account

I've just ordered our test online as our Walgreens only accepts appointments 24 hrs prior to the test.
