  1. I’ve heard this before, once… it seemed at the time that they may be trying out a new system for bids in order to encourage increasing bids. It’s definitely not common though. I have no memory of whether I read it here on CC or on another site and they didn’t include screenshots.
  2. OP stopped reading or responding to this thread two days ago 😂
  3. The takeaway here is that if you're having issues with something on the cruise, you need to speak up about it while you're still on the ship. Your odds in getting it resolved or having some sort of compensation happen mostly onboard.
  4. Oh man. We are used to the 2 bedroom on the Gem where the sofa/couch DOES pull out. We’re boarding Breakaway in 2 weeks. I’m not telling my teenager who usually sleeps in the living room 😬😬😬
  5. Wait. The sofa in the 2 BR Haven on Breakaway doesn’t pull out? It’s just… this with the back pillows removed and a sheet thrown on top? uh oh. 😬
  6. Only thing I can think of is that they don’t count a sofa as a sleep surface unless it pulls out into a bed (even a twin bed).
  7. I absolutely get why you are upset. BUT. I am in the Haven in 2 weeks and I *still* need to walk up a flight of stairs to enter the actual Haven area.
  8. Yes, there is another post that Getaway has no Splash Academy at all this week. Either there is an outbreak of illness with the staff or they’re trying to fix this issue 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
  9. I’d look at how many of those sea days (if any) will be in warm weather. We have sailed out of NY & Boston in the late winter and the first couple of days are too cold to enjoy sitting on the balcony, eating outside, etc. Keep that in mind if being outside on sea days matters to you.
  10. Is there a reason you won’t say which suite you were in? Just curious.
  11. The Starbucks onboard price is generally ~$6 so with this package if you’d like to have more than 2 Starbucks drinks a day, it’s a good “deal”.
  12. For those of us with 18-21 year olds who love Starbucks it’s a pretty sweet option.
  13. Oddly when I open it on the website, not the app, it’s only showing for passengers 1&2 and I have to add it to both… but then if I click “edit” it allows me to transfer it to my 9 year old and only him. that’s a TERRIBLE idea 😅😅
  14. I don’t know. Even when I choose all 5 of us I can’t put it in the cart.
  15. Looks like you can buy it for individual guests. oddly the “deliver on” drop down doesn’t work so I can’t actually put anything in the cart.
  16. Giving ALL the kids unlimited arcade passes is just gonna jam 50+ kids in a tiny room… maybe not the next choice by NCL.
  17. Is this new, or has it always been an option and I missed it? We are sailing Breakaway in 2 weeks and I thought the only way to have Starbucks in a drink package was to purchase the Premium Plus beverage package.
  18. Ugh. I love me a sea day, but I’m not sure 7 of them in a row would be much fun. Fingers crossed for both our sakes, but especially yours, that they don’t cancel St Thomas on us!
  19. Ugh. We’re sailing on Breakaway on Aug 7 and they already took away 2 ports (Puerto Plata and Tortola) and only replaced them with an evening in San Juan… if they take away St Thomas we’re down to just an evening in San Juan and a day at GSC which is always a 50/50 shot anyway.
  20. We are flying in/out of PBI for our cruise in August that sails from Miami. I have been looking for transportation options and was planning on just doing Lyft, until I priced it out today and its $190 one way for the five of us 😬 Does anyone have recommendations for other transportation options? Thank you!
  21. Which room # is this? If you don’t feel comfortable sharing I’ll check again at the end of your trip 😅 We are in 15102 in a couple weeks.
  22. The regular cabanas are open platforms with a fan, a couch, etc so you have your own little shaded “room” to use as home base. The Silver Cove villas include A/C, a private bathroom, a porch with loungers and your own attendant/waiter to bring drinks, a quiet beach, access to a fancier buffet (I guess, I didn’t see the regular buffet but this one wasn’t so fancy). If you want to have beach time but also need to cool off and have privacy they’re great. They’re WAY overpriced. We first got one in Dec 2021 when it was vastly discounted, and now we’ve booked another for our Aug 2022 trip but this time it was full price and ouch.
  23. we have 3 kids (9, 14, 18) and the younger 2 sleep in the second bedroom, the oldest sleeps on the pull-out couch. I can’t imagine 2 adults sharing that second bedroom comfortably though.
