  1. Quite honestly the rules will probably change by January. Don’t worry about it yet. 30 days out check the sail safe page.
  2. Ships aren’t well below capacity anymore. Haven is always full and recent reports are 90-100% capacity for the whole ship.
  3. You’ll hear a lot of scraping from pool chair being moved early in the AM, and if you’re under the stairs… good luck.
  4. New England schools (and maybe others) have a week vacation in February so it’s entirely possible you’ll have lots of kids on your cruise. If having access to deck chairs and a nearby bar with no kids around sound good to you do it! The pool on Breakaway is tiny and the deck area is packed wall to wall with people and deck chairs. Lots of bickering and chair hogs so if you want to avoid that Vibe is worth it. If you’re just as happy sitting on your balcony as laying on the deck, probably not.
  5. You told your cabin steward that you tested positive for COVID and he (?) told you to wear a mask when you leave the room? Not, like… STAY in your room?
  6. I prepay just to have one less thing to pay down the road. That’s it.
  7. iMessage works on the ship, so if everyone in your group has iPhones you really don’t need to pay for the messaging.
  8. What the hell kind of COVID tests are you getting 😅😅
  9. Yep you can bid on both. Nobody truly fully knows how the bids are decided but it stands to reason that they’re structured to make the most additional profit possible. Bid what you would be comfortable paying. You can also do a mock booking on your sailing and see how many Haven rooms are available. They will solicit bids even if rooms aren’t open so this will give you a little better idea of whether you should get your hopes up.
  10. I’m in the same boat (literally 😅 the week after you). We’re really disappointed but from what I can tell we don’t get any refunds.
  11. Huh… there was absolutely nothing happening over at Silver Cove. I had no idea there were actual events over on the other side. Thanks!
  12. Our cruise lists GSC as a 6:30 arrival, 4:00 departure. We have done GSC once, in Silver Cove, and found that the times for meals were pretty short and not well communicated to us. Are there official buffet times? Do they do breakfast at all? There were no food trucks in the Silver Cove area so I don’t know if they’re open full time…
  13. My kids’ favorite is Teppanyaki. Odds are pretty good your daughter will make friends in Entourage and may want to eat with those friends some nights so you may not even have to worry about paying for her!
  14. We are sailing on Breakaway in the Haven in August. We have previously been in the Gem Haven with our kids so I have a couple of questions specifically about the Breakaway. Abd before it comes up- our children are closely supervised, polite, and respectful. 1) Are both of the haven hot tubs adults only or just one? Does “adults only” mean 18+ or is there a posted age? 2) is the lounge deck above the pool (not sure what you would call it… lounger balcony? Not the outdoor sun deck) adults only? 3) is the outdoor sun deck adults only? 4) What’s the current lead time on the mailed luggage tags and welcome letter? It seems to fluctuate. We’re at 42 days and haven’t received anything, I figured once we got under 30 days I’d contact our TA. Just curious.
  15. Since watching In the Heights my son has been obsessed with trying piragua. Often it’s sold in a pushcart so I know it can be a moving target 😅 but I’d love any leads on where we might be able to find it! Our ship is docking at 4 PM on a Wednesday so I’m nervous that it might be too late in the day. Thank you!
