  1. trying to figure out the best times and days to use our special dinning plan. 7 day NY to Bahamas on a loss in nov. sun-sun ports are tues/wed/thurs

guesses: Sunday-welcome show in theater Jersey Boys on mon and Friday? When would Havana be then? I thought shows are usually on sea days? Also hoping to catch prohibition show if we can get in but what day would that most likely be?  And the kids want to listen to Beatles cover band in cavern but not sure if that will be same time as the show?

Are main shows 7:30 and 10:30? What time do you book your dinners for then? We would want to do 7:30 show on nights we take the kids.

younger kids are planning to eat to eat dinner with the kids club on nights they can, which I think is port days?? Thursday is thanksgiving so they would eat with us for that port day.

Sorry for all the questions, hoping a seasoned cruiser will know a good guess. We are the first sailing of this itinerary this year so no dailies to go by.

  2. Thank you! That’s very good to k ow there could be 2 so we do t get on the wrong one. I do t think we would have time to stop but just Incase. Plus my daughter really wants a carved animal from the dockyard/Pompeii square area locals 🤦‍♀️ So we will have to plan for all that to happen.

  3. Thank you. We don’t go until November so the shore ex site doesn’t have our dates listed yet to see the specific of our sail so I will keep an eye bc we will want the 2 observers to board at the cruise dock with all of us.

When you ride back to the cruise dock on the ferry I Know it stops at paradise island first, could you get off to look around and get back on the next ferry to the dock? How would they know not to charge you again? Or do you just hop on the local little boat if you get off?

  4. How does the bar tender know you Pre paid the grats before going onboard? Is it listed on their Computer so they don’t add it agin? The pic shows it added up, just wondering how it’s handled. We got the UBP and had to pre pay the grats already.

Ask the cabin steward to arranged your bed as a hammock.  This will give you enough room for a scooter.  I had this set up on our April 1st cruise.

Can I ask what that means to have it be a Hammock? Do you have a picture or something?

also to the original poster...my mom had this issue before on a cruise and she had rented the scooter on board; it shows up in your state room on day 1. so when she couldn’t get the scooter into the room she talked to her cabin steward and he was able to move it for her whenever she needed. she would just leave it in the hallway right in front of her door  as close as she could and they would come knock on the door to move it when they needed it moved and when she was in For the night they would take it maybe to the elevator lobby or someplace else and then she would call in the morning and he would come bring it to her not super ideal because she had to know a few minutes ahead of time that she wanted to leave but she would like or when she was getting ready to take a shower and then it would be there for herFor the night they would take it maybe to the elevator lobby or someplace else and then she would call in the morning and he would come bring it to her not super ideal because she had to know a few minutes ahead of time that she wanted to leave but she would like or when she was getting ready to take a shower and then it would be there for her

  6. I don’t have an answer for you but wondering something similar....we are 8am-6pm in Nassau, so really that’s10-4 being back on ship BY 4. We will do the ship’s dolphin swim excursion to blue lagoon, but that’s really only about 3/4 hours on blue lagoon...is it worth the almost $300 per person price tag? There are 12 of us so it’s not like we are 2 ppl that can just run for the ferry last minute. Plus my daughter wants to visit the lus caps that sit by the pier/sr. Frogs areas and carve wooden animals 😆 bc her brother got one there last trip and she feels slighted.

  7. What cruise line did you boom through to get the sting ray option?

We are going on NcL and have 2 ppl that want to come along but don’t want to do the dolphin swim with us, just watch us.

  8. THank you!i understand the reasoning that it is applied after bc Incase the ship doesn’t end up stopping at the port of excursion. have a question, is it ONLY to be used by 1st person listed in the cabin? For example, we booked the cabana and got our silver discount but I booked it under my name and I’m listed 2nd on the cabin. Then we also plan to book a dolphin swim in the Bahamas, our adjoining room has 2 grandparents and my son, but only my son who is lister 3rd and a minor will do the dolphin excursion, will the $50 still be used just given to the grandparent listed as 1st in the cabin (that’s fine) just wanted to make sure the 1st person doesn’t have to be on the excursion??

    Hope that makes sense.

Don't know about the Splash dailies, but are you SURE you want your kids to go to Jersey Boys?  Have you ever seen this productions?  Language, situations would not be appropriate for most kids that age.  Have not seen Havana yet, but it gets reviewed as kind of boring for adults, so probably so for kids as well.

Thanks for the heads up as I know many will not know what the show is.  I haven’t seen it yet but my in laws that are going have seen it. My kids have seen Rock of Ages etc on ships and they know most of the songs from the show jersey boys so they will like that part. I heard Havana was just ok too so we will play that by ear if they care to see it.

  10. I saw these post a long time ago and now I can’t find them. Can anyone help? I’m looking for Bliss NY sailing to Caribbean (Bahamas) on a 7 day. Ages 7-10. Mostly trying to find out what days the kids can pay to eat with the staff for what meals so we can plan adult only meals those days. Also on a 7 day sailing when would Jersey Boys/Havana/prohibition be showing? We want the kids to come to the shows but obviously not prohibition 😆 so trying to get it all worked out, we are 7 adults and 5 kids so it gets tricky

  11. So I waited for my TA to call me back and she never did...so I called today and talked to someone else in the office. Glad I did bc she got us the take 4 instead of take 2 (5 not offered on our sail) AND the price per cabin went down so we got $120 per cabin  back AND the 4th cabin got bumped to a mini so less than the balcony was originally costing them by $5! Win/win

question about the $50 shore credit though. I already booked a shore excursion (cabana) on GSC and paid in full bc I did it through the app, the TA said the $5 will show up as a credit at the end of the cruise and to just watch for it....what do you all think? Also if we book our other excursions should we call the shore X number and book that way when they become available instead of doing it on the app to have the $50 applied per  cabin?
