Spent the morning deep in research. Decided I’m not too excited about Cannes. Looking more and more like a quick hour or two to walk around plus French lunch, then back to the ship to use $800 in bar tab.
Now, I’m headed to Walmarts. It’s 96 degrees here. Makes me happy. But I’m really hoping to only come back here like 6 more times before my next cruise. Can it be done? 66 days til I leave for Barcelona, but it’s the summertime kid diet that I’ll be contending with.
Also, gas went down while we were cruising.

Wow!  I can’t believe your gas prices are so low.  We are at $3.89/gallon.

  2. Depends on what time your flight comes in.  This is Memorial Day weekend in Miami.  It can take an hour to go three blocks.  I worked on Miami Beach for many years and experienced this headache.  SAS Transport is great for transport to Miami, but I don’t know if you would be able to book them so close to transport date.

And 0 NFL MVP awards with that. Actually the most impressive stat that nobody talks about is consecutive games with a TD pass. It was a Johnny Unitas record at 47 that stood forever. Brees broke in 2012 with 54 games. Since then Brady and Manning have passed Unitas but not Brees.

Additionally Drew has the 5th longest streak at 45 games.  The closest person to the 54/45 two streaks is manning with 51/27.

The last person to make a run at the 54 streak was Kirk Cousins with 39 games. That ended in 2022.

Anytime Mahomes gets on a run he ticks me off because the chiefs will run this..basically end around but the receiver comes in front of him. It’s basically a forward hand off but it’s considered a forward pass so he gets some cheap TD passes that way. The closest he’s gotten is 31.

It blows my mind that he never won an MVP when he definitely should have.

Maybe it won’t be June 3rd on my car. I got a text yesterday that it’s still in reassembly. Then this text says early next week. I assume Tuesday at the earliest with the holiday.

I know a few people that work at auto dealers and repair shops.  They are having a real hard time getting replacement parts.  What would normally take two weeks to fix is taking months.  That’s really bad in this area as there are a lot of car vs. deer incidents here.

I've been on another social media break this weekend... Nothing much going on here since I left work on Friday. Lunch at Superica Saturday, my usual hamburguesa with thick cut potatoes. Made margaritas and watched Death Proof on DVD. Sunday, lunch from Bismillah Cafe: goat biryani, then more margaritas and golf on TV. Shauffle finally won his first major. And now it's Monday morning already. Only four days of work to go until vacation!

The biryani looks amazing!  If you ever find yourself on Grand Cayman, stop at a place called Southern Spice.  Some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten.  It is in a little (very little) strip mall north of the port.  It should be just a short taxi ride away, or you can take the bus.  If you want good curry goat, Sam’s Quality Jerk and more.  I hear their oxtail is also really good.  I have never had either of those, but the Jamaicans I used to work with swear by it.

Love Wrigley Field and Soldiers Field, Great experience but then I’m rooting for the home team. Adler and Shed Aquarium are good too. Unfortunately can’t get a good pizza in Houston 🥲

The original Gino’s in Chicago- is still, by far, one of my faves

You know, no matter what their current or past history is, I always enjoy going to Wrigley and Soldier Fields.  Their fans are always welcoming.  Give them credit, they are staunch supporters of their teams no matter what.

Soldier Field is one of the places that I honestly feared for my life.  The fans were not so welcoming to our group. I had to put my jacket inside out and hide my hat just to feel safe walking through the stadium and back to my car after the game.
