If your traditional dining is assigned in the anytime dining room,it will be earlier. I would tell Princess that you do not want to be in the anytime dining room
Also i had the worst service ever in 20 cruises on the Star when assigned to the Anytime Dining room. They really have no incentive to serve you quickly as there is no late seating putting pressure on them. Yes,we did complain to the head waiter. There was no improvement.

Just curious. Have booked a cruise tour for next year but thinking maybe I might like to try a different Cruise line
-
Land vacations are a hassle Cruises eliminate. Maybe I have just gotten Lazy.
-
Not sure if Near Princess Headquarters. If you have trouble reaching them,be patient
-
I think i will forget it and drink the regular coffee. Not worth the hassle or cost
-
We were all at the same table for 4. Since we were in the anytime dining room with the early fixed, the waiters did not have to worry about our table bring needed by 8:15.
They told us a half hour late was no problem. I would not do this in the fixed dining room
Or if you are sharing a table
-
You can show up a half hour late to traditional. They dont care. Dont take any time
-
If they have guns, they will not tell you.

One of the Elite benefis is priority tendering. The usually put tickets in your room so you can bypass meeting in the theater. You just go to a boat. But you are not supposed to go to the front of the line.
There is no priority tendering from the shore to the ship.
This, along with the laundry,is the best perk
-
Keep in mind you also get preferred tendering. If you are both elite you can each bring a guest. Just go to the boat and join the line. No need to go to the meeting area. This is really the best perk

Why not.speculation is fun. Why all the animosity about this discussion. Is it boring, not fun? New ideas are interesting. At some point they may do a survey and ask what people would like. Them they might factor it in their future plans.
Of course people should be grateful for what they get. Me i prefer to discuss dress codes or wine allowances. Sometimes even overflowing toilets or bad smells in the public areas of the ship. Some lament the lack of a good place to smoke cigars while others find
cigarette smoking extremely challenging
Sometimes ships miss ports and the compensation mat not be enough but you can always be sure that waiters will hammer you to join the wine tasting.

Rent a tux. It will be on your stateroom
-
Why do you prefer NCL?
-
I too have thought about Cunard. Have alot of nice clothes with little opportunity to wear them anymore. I wish the did some short cruises out of San Francisco
While it is true that most people dress nicely for formal dinners,it seems strange to be sitting in the theater wearing a tux while the guy next to me us in a t shirt and shorts.

Just off the star and found the deserts plenty sweet, and I like sweet deserts. Limited but usually one good one each night. Ice cream was fine. The Norman Love deserts were both very good.
The veal scallopini on Italian night was good. Good marsala flavor, nice variety of mushrooms, good sauce and tender meat.
The one area that has declined is the pasta.very boring and similar sauce every night. Often times ingredients not as described
-
You can bring any food on the ship. No food can be taken iff unless packaged and sealed
-
-
I understand the there are a few single cabins on all three ships but could not find them on the Cunard site. Have not traveled Cunard before, just princess. Getting tired of the lack of a dress code on Princess and might like to try Cunard

Basically the following. Lasagna,club sandwich,hot dog,hamburger,turkey sandwich.
-
The Pepperoni they use is very thin and has little taste
-
Go get a sausage from the grill. Cut it up and put it on a cheese pizza They dont have italian but one might work. Cant recall all they have.
-
Please,no more artichoke and Ham!
-
You got me. They are supposed to be catering to U S market yet the seemed determined to make weird pizzas no one I know would ever order
-
Well I am elite and have never played bridge. Sounds interesting. I don't recall anything in the patter advising me about lessons. Since I am retired, maybe it is something I would take up.
Itinerary Changed
in Princess Cruises

The information regarding tours is interesting. You can protest the shortening of hours in port by canceling or not booking any Princess tours and tell them. Book independent tours via port message boards.
I would probably cancel the cruise, assuming I had refundable air fare. Or look at another cruise line going around the same dates
The 5:30 pm departure instead of midnight is unacceptable.
