I used to use disposable liners in bottles. Usually by 10 months, the need for sanitizing other than washing in hot soapy water is not needed, but every baby is different. (For us older people, our parents only handwashed bottles :D)
Our pediatrician told me, tongue in cheek:
For the first baby, sterilize everything
For the second baby, wash everything in hot soapy water
For the rest of the babies, rinse everything off :)

We were opposite the Panoramic elevator on Ruby, and never heard a sound. It was very convenient.

Maybe I should start looking past the chocolate. :D
No, you are wise to stick with the chocolate. Baked Alaska, while OK, is just ice cream, nothing more.

Another salad favorite at the International Cafe, the chicken salad. They will put it on a croissant for you if you ask.
In the MDR, the beef medallions for dinner, followed by the creme brulee for dessert.
My favorite pizza is to be had on Lido Deck, at Prego Pizza. The BEST!!
YUM!!!

A must try is the chicken salad at the International Cafe. Just really good. And they will put it on a croissant for you if you wish.
The Prego Pizza on Lido deck is the BEST. Everyone says it puts other lines pizza to shame.
Have fun, the Ruby is a gorgeous ship.

We asked for a top sheet, and to have the duvet removed and not brought back. Too hot in the Caribbean for that.

You must not be cruising with anyone from CC. I know everyone on CC has an opinion. :)
I hope you were smiling when you said that, LOL!

I really woke up in the doldrums this morning. Not sure why, but was just down. I have so enjoyed reading this thread, and my spirits have raised considerably. Laughter really is good for the soul. So much fun, thank you, this thread is better than chocolate!!!
PS: If those Cruise Critic Approved stickers materialize, could you send me one???

Anyone tried these? They look good but very expensive and you can't pick the ones you want. They do not list the wight of the gift boxes so it is hard to compare with other manufacturers like Sees or Godiva. I called and got voicemail. Not very impressive.
And I think I would choose Sees or Godiva anyday. I can get two Lindt Swiss Excellence chocolate bars for $4.00 at my local market. In place of $36 dollars shipping, thats a lot of top notch chocolate bars!!

When did the 10.00 charge for afternoon tea start? Is this across the fleet, or just on Royal?
Whoops, read it incorrectly. Didnt realize there is a special for fee tea.

Well the above post isn't even remotely pretentious. LOL

I take Bonine every day during the cruise, starting the day before, as a preventative. I do not wait until I am feeling sick.[/quote]
LOL, we do too. And we continue the Bonine for one or two days after getting home. I have been known to hit a few walls from landsickness after a cruise.

Oh my, how neat is that!!! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I guess we all read things differently. I didn't think that was a sacrastic response. I thought it was a legitimate question.
I thought it was too. I guess we all perceive the written word a bit differently.

For those who say an inside is fine because they spend no time in the cabin, I say that the better the cabin the more time you spend in it. When you can order room service off the MDR menu, you have more room service. When you have a larger cabin with a larger sitting area, you spend more time there. And when you have a nice big balcony you spend more time out there.
For myself, I must respectfully disagree. I dont cruise to sit in a cabin, be it an inside, or one of the most spacious suites available. We spent no more time in our minisuite than in our inside cabin, and I would rather spend my day on the Lido deck, than on a private balcony.
We do have room service in our inside, usually a sandwich before bed, and morning coffee with a roll.
-
We normally cruise 3 to a cabin. Our first cruise was an aft minisuite on Caribbean Princess. Very nice, but we spent little time on the balcony as we preferred to be out and about on the ship. It was nice to have the tub though, although we only used the shower part of it.
Second cruise we tried an OV, midship on Emerald. It was just as nice to us, but you truly cannot see outside after dark through the window. We really didnt mind the size difference from the mini.
Last cruise we had an inside on Dolphin deck on the Ruby. I actually liked it very much. It was cozy, but I didnt find it to be as dark as some say it is. I probably would never pay for a mini again, to me it would be a waste of money. We dont hang out in our cabin, and just use it for getting ready to go to dinner, or sleeping. I would much rather be outside in the sea air. However, we found it to be fine size wise for the three of us.

The previous poster is correct, the laundry room on the ships I have been on close at ten or eleven.

Those pictures are killers. I am now starving for Princess Pizza.

Thank you for the detailed information. So now it's hard for us to decide. I just contacted one of the tour company and they allow my 18 months go to the dolphin encounter for only 39. That's something doable, isn't it? ;)
So for princess cay, seems we'll have to just stay in the Beach. Do you know if we can go back to our cabin if my 18 months old needs a nap?
Yes, there are tenders going back and forth all day long, one leaves probably every 15-20 minutes.

Have sailed in a minisuite, an oceanview and an inside, and never felt cramped in any of them. I actually would take an inside from now on, found it to be extremely comfortable.

Maybe bedcrawl was not the right wording, but we had a meet and greet for singles, it was a cruise with a lot of singles on board on a group singles tour - they were all over each other, and making sleeping arrangements for the night - at the first night - I had one polite drink and made a point to distance myself from them.
Have had meet and greets where it was only a few singles, and we would stop and chat when we saw each other on the cruise.
Like others, I am used to being alone, and do not mind - rather read than spend a whole day with someone I do not care for.
Unusual circumstance for sure!
Oh my, thats what I was afraid it meant.:(
-
I have tried the singles meet and greets - they too can be good or bad - found 1 and everyone wanted to do a bed crawl - not my thing, one a lady stuck with me like glue - had to unstick her, I have met people, that at least when I see them aboard - we say hello - how are things going etc.
I will probably be incredibly sorry that I asked this question, but what on earth is a bed crawl???

I'm really looking forward to my first PCL in November. The brand new Regal (well brand new for PEV). I'm D+ on Royal, so this will be hard being a nobody on Princess. :)
You will not be a nobody on Princess, I promise you. I think you will enjoy your cruise very much. A tip for you, do not forget to try the International Cafe, open 24 hours. Really yummy!

How popular are dolphin excursions?

Thank you for this. Everyone should have the chance to know the truth about how these beautiful animals are trapped and taken.
