  1. That was actually an answer from my wife.:) She thinks the bags are pretty, but they fall apart on her quickly.

I have used Vera Bradley bags since she first started selling them, and use them almost exclusively. I wash them once or twice a season, and have never had a problem with one, so find it hard to believe that they have ever fallen apart. Granted, after very long use, the corners will wear, both on the bags and the wallets, but fall apart??? No.

  2. Usually it's ice conditions at Sawyer Glacier. But sometimes weather conditions such as fog or wind prevent ships from even entering Tracy Arm. It's quite narrow in spots. This is how close we got on my cruise. As you can see the OP is quite a bit closer to the glacier than that:

Thank you for the reply Jasperdo! Yes, I guess the OP did get lucky.

  3. We have done it twice, and throughly enjoyed it. The chicken was very good, and we would rather relax and let someone else (who knows how to get there, drive) We all love Orient Beach, the water has been very clean and not too rough when we went. I would go again in a heartbeat.

  4. If this is a legitimate cruise, I am sure that Princess listed it publicly initially. Why all the hush hush about dates and the name of the ship now? Seems kind of ridiculous, like its a top secret cruise, which I doubt very much.

  5. Not very gracious of them eh? The request should be more than sufficient, no explanation necessary. For the Hostess to err is bad enough, for her superior to stand by and allow it is far worse.

  6. I would hope that Princess uses any room service fee to be in lieu of tips. Now that dh has balance problems and I use a walker we have been enjoying having room service deliver tea in our cabin each afternoon. If a pot of water, two cups and two tea bags will possibly have a $3 charge, it will certainly cover any usual tips in my mind.

I think you would be kidding yourself to belive the charge will go to tips for the crew. It will go straight to Princess. I would bet my last nickle on it.

  7. Can't answer as to Alfredos because it didn't exist when we cruised with our kids who are now in their 30s and 40s, but they ordered room service breakfast and a "getting dressed for dinner" snack every single day of our cruises with them!

Never sailed a ship with Alfredos, looking at the menu I think I would prefer Pregos pizza on deck, but our cabin of three had coffee and a roll from room service EVERY morning, and a sandwich before bed from room service four nights out of seven every cruise.
