  1. I booked my cruise last summer for this summer and the ship changed. They moved the Magic to Port Canaveral. So my cruise was showing as sold out. Turns out that they were just readjusting the cabins scheduled on the other ship to resign to the Magic. In about a week it was back on sale except with Magic as apposed to the original ship. I don't know if this is your case, but it's a thought.

  2. So far I am on crutches, with a brace, staying off of it and waiting for the swelling to go down. I may end up in a plaster cast, I'll know in a couple of days.

If they end up putting a cast on, do not get a plaster cast. They have cast made of fiberglass. With the fiberglass cast you can get a waterproof cast liner (the ones we use in my office are called Gore-tex liners). With the waterproof liners you can shower and even go swimming without any problems. I stinks to have a cast on vacation, but at least you'd be able to enjoy the pool and the fiberglass casts come in different colors too. Good luck!

  3. We also used Dean Chinnery's services a few weeks ago. FANTASTIC!! We've been on a couple of open-air taxi tours in the past & they were fun but we saw so much more with Dean. We were able to go where WE wanted to go & see what WE wanted to see. All of our questions were answered. He gave us a great tour!

I'm just curious if the prices are the same $25 per person this year. We only have 2 people though. How long did he take you around for? Also, was it just the island or did he take you shopping as well? Thanks so much!

  4. My first cruise was a Twilight (book series/movies) cruise. We only had half the ship so it may not be exactly the same, but it was fantastic. It's so much more fun when everyone is there with the same interests. The activities are based on the theme so you know you will enjoy them. A lot of people decorated the outside of their doors. I think you should book it if the theme is something you are passionate about.

To comment about how many people are on the ship, it would vary. Sometimes the entire ship is for that theme so the amount of people would depend on how big the ship is. In my experience we only had half the ship, so I'm guessing it depended on how many people decided to book it and how many blocked cabins the organizer had.

  5. Have you looked into portable umbrellas? They're are some out there that are very easy to carry and the ships allow them on board with you. I'm gonna guess you can't use it on board, but you can bring them onto the beach with you and not worry about leaving early to find one. It sounds like you would use it often as well so one may be worth the money. Her is an example of what I am talking about, but there are many out there. http://www.sport-brella.com/sport-brella

  6. We just did this excursion last week. The catamaran we went out on had stairs they lowered feom rhe front center of the catamaran. About two steps were actually below the water and there were rope "hand rails" on both sides. A guide also stayed in the water to give a little boost to anyone needing help...but I didn't see anyone truly struggle to get out of the water.

Thank you so much! That helps a lot. We are going to book with them now. I'm looking foward to it. :):)

  7. I'm glad you were able to get it straightened out. I can add some insight to it. I booked with carnival and the person handling our booking said that the day the email went out they weren't able to see any of the cabins since it was still being converted to the new ship. It took a few days for the carnival people to be able to change cabins so it probable showed sold out to everyone else.
