  1. They do this on every cruise. Most of the time it isn't anything on the ship but warrants that were not taken care of before the cruise. I sail out of Galveston and watch Galveston cruise cam often, I'm sure it happens from every other port. Names are put through the computers after embarkation, so if you have warrants, you will most likely be,escorted off the ship by local police.

  2. A couple of years, ago they did send an offer giving Gold members Platinum status for one cruise. It sounds like this is kind of the same offer. If you do get the offer then it is a savings dince FTTF is $49.95 -$79.95 depending on the cruise.

  3. When I sailed the Breeze out of Galveston and had 1 sea day followed by 3 ports then 2 sea days. Formal nights were Monday and Friday.

My other 2 Breeze cruises out of Galveston had 2 sea days, 3 port days then 1 sea day. Fomal nights were Monday and Thursday.

  4. While I agree with you 100%, I do believe they call it a veggie burger because it is vegatarian, meaning no meat. I think it can have chicken, just no meat (beef).

I agree though, it's just not a burger without 100% beef (well, and a good percentage of grease).

Didn't know chicken was a vegetable. ..lol. I'm not a vegetarian, quite the opposite but I do know that burgers are any patty shaped as a disk and placed between a bun....protien may vary.

  5. I noticed you referenced paying $550 for a spa pass. I believe the maximum amount I've ever seen is $249 a week for the couples pass. Unless I am mistaken and you mean you will be paying the cost for the pass for two couples.

Most Panama canal cruises are 14 days, so that would explain the price quoted.

  6. Yes. I've had that on my 4 day Liberty cruises in 2016 (except bounce back since I had other casino offer cruises booked) also bottle of wine at dinner and bottle of champagne to cabin. They do treat you well and I'm grateful for what I have received but I don't expect any of it and would not be upset if I didnt receive it.

  7. If the OP isn't comparing pricing on the exact same pair of Effing earings that her husband bought for her, she might find that the price is not that much different, if at all. She can't fairly compare hers with something similar of another brand. OTOH she may have been. It's just a shame that she's let this cast shade on a really nice gift that her husband bought for her. Sometimes it's just better not to go digging around for bargains after the fact. Kinda ruins the moment.

    Yep. 100 % agree

  8. They have been doing this for, over a year now. My last 3 cruises in November, January and March all on the Breeze were Premier casino cruises so the DOU card was, automatic upon embarkation. I did not purchase Cheers for,any of them and my total cost for drinks elsewhere on board was $150 give or take $10 on each cruise, so I'm cool with it. My next cruise is,a 5 day cruise, with no casino offer on the Valor, I purchased Cheers if I qualify for the dou card, oh well . Yes it would be nice to get something else, but no big deal. After that it's an Ultra on the Freedom so no Cheers.

  9. I understand feeling you have been taken advantage of, that's not a good feeling. I don't buy jewelry on board, but Effy is,a brand, and I understand their policy of price matching to their brand i.e if you found Effy earrings cheaper at your local Macy's. I wouldn't expect to buy a Tag Hauer watch on a ship and have them price match to a Sieko watch I priced at the mall.

  10. I've cruised the,Breeze 3 times since November. On my November cruise it was Monday and Friday (the cruise had 1 sea day 3 port days and two sea days back to Galveston ) On my January and March cruise it was Monday and Thursday (those cruises had 2 sea days,at the beginning then 3 port days and 1 sea day back to Galveston ) So I think it depends on how your sea days are, scheduled.

  11. I just booked my first Ultra on the Freedom December 9, 2017. I didn't think I would get the offer, I did 3 premiers in November, January and March and did not get 7500 pts on any of them, the most points I got was a little over 5000 in November. Also my cash was the same as in the premiers, so I'm a happy cruiser....lol

  12. I cruise out of Galveston all the time. This seems,to happen on all my cruises from there. Not at all when I cruised out of Florida or New,Orleans. It's not poor organization, it's inconsiderate passengers who want to bend every rule because it doesn't pertain to them, they paid for the cruise, they're on vacation etc.. I live 30 minutes from Galveston, so I deal with it...lol
