The ES/reduced deposit sakes are not available with a group.
It depends on the sale, but most reduced deposit sales are eligible for group comps/amenities as they are just a modification of the Early Saver rate. Early Saver is almost always bookable into a group and with that comes the price protection. The agent does have to submit the price protection, but the good ones will check rates for you and submit it either by price reductions or onboard credit once paid in full.
-
Depends on the sailing, and the amenities can be anything from gifts to onboard credit to cocktail parties to snacks in the room.
The Amenities don't really get better with more rooms, but there is a minimum number of rooms that have to book to get amenities. The Agent can also buy additional amenities if desired.
The pricing is usually better because agents will request room type blocks as soon as they are available and hold them as prices go up and keep the same rate.

You can enter the terminal any time after your selected/assigned window.
-
It won't cancel your individual bookings, it will just cancel any of the extra amenities that you need the minimum number of rooms for. Ask the group department to verify but it should not cancel your bookings.
-
Your PVP may try and swing you away because the group will be handled by a different department and the PVP won't get any commission.
Make sure if you have a group of 10 cabins that you get any amenities that are offered (usually a fixed amount of things that can be done based on a points value), and if a certain number of people are booked you actually can get a discount.
If the groups department doesn't mention this go with a TA who can do all these things.
-
The other thing is good fares can lock in todays price up to the final payment due date. So if a cruise fare goes up most of the time a TA can lock that price in and offer it up front for a given number of state rooms in certain categories.
Early saver can also be booked into groups most of the time.

It isn't that they are that much better than a decent burger on land. They are way better than the blackened pucks that used to be served at the "grill" on the ships.
They are probably equivalent to a five guys burger, but much faster. The line moves very fast and there is little wait to get your food.
-
So they'll allow you to get a 16th drink?
They have in the past. It would just show up as a drink outside of cheers with a different coupon applied.
Some bartenders will allow you to buy drinks if you were near your limit, but not overly impaired.

Holiday Inn westbank used to have this, you have to take a taxi or uber to the port.

We know Shane pretty well from our cruises, and he got promoted! He now is in charge of all the maitre'd's and travels from ship to ship! He deserves it !
That's great, he was one of our favorites!
-
On the Dream back in '14 there were two, the senior one was in the aft dining room, and Shane who had been on our previous two conquest sailings was in the mid dining room that was mostly ATD.
Shane requested moving to the Dream apparently because he liked New Orleans better than the port Conquest moved to.

We are in a suite on our B2B coming up and have FTTF for the first leg, not for the second one. Both sets of luggage tags have the FTTF logo.

My favorite was Langosta/downtown.
We stayed in town and just explored some.
I do like Puerta Maya, especially if going to Nachi Cocom or other places out near that.
-
Carnival will use Puerta Maya when possible. We have been to Cozumel 4 times, docked at Puerta Maya twice, TMM/International once, and Downtown once.

Red Frog Pub has 3-4 tvs.
Most of the bars will have limited options for martinis/cocktails, there are some of the drinks they can make that are similar, but not of the caliber of the Alchemy drinks.

The last land based cell tower near the river is at Venice La, so once you enter southwest pass you'll start getting spotty service or switch to cellular@sea.
I usually turn it off as we enter southwest pass, near Pilot Town when the first pilot swap happens.

I may have missed why they were there, but I do recall seeing a rack of this kind of thing on the Breeze in May. It was on the lido deck by one of the bars. I do not recall if kids were in the pool.
I don't know how that worked as we don't have kids, but I do remember seeing that.

And to add to that:
The beer buckets are normal price even though you only get 12 ounce cans. We carried on wine and had a bottle of champagne in the room, and bought mixed drinks the first night.

November 26, December 1 (b2b) and April 6 for us.

Best: The Wagyu beef from the Chef's table.
Worst: Buffet scrambled eggs.

You can open the account with the cash, and they will notify you once you run near and you can add a card at guest services.
Source: This is how I usually do it.

The theater is on decks 3-4-5, a balcony on 11 would not be anywhere near that. Did you mean near Lido?
-
It's been a few years since I was down that way, but I believe that going west from Jamaica to Cozumel you will pick up a knot of current or so.
You also have to realize that going to NOLA you have 8-10 hours at 12 knots maximum up the river.
Thanks for your insight, as usual. I appreciate the experienced voice sharing how and why things happen!
Group rate? minimum? deposit? deals?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Again, it depends on the individual sales. Just to try I quoted a new room in a group that I have created. The Early Saver $50 deposit rate is available and the deposit shows $100 (for two people).
The group sails next June and is on the Magic. Perhaps some of the previous reduced deposit sales didn't work in groups but this one definitely does.
With that said the current rate for that sailing for the same class of room is quite a bit less per person.
