I wonder if there is a way to ship luggage to Paris from Rome. We could just use our backpacks for two nights. It would probably make the trip a lot easier. Thanks for replying to my questions.

After disembarking from ship in Civitavecchia, we are traveling to Paris for a river cruise. Instead of flying, since we have a couple of days, I am researching train travel. First to Rome and then to Milan on the first day. Second day to Tirano and connect to the Bernina Express to Chur, Switzerland. Last day Chur to Paris. My question for you is we are a couple in our 70's in good shape. We will each have a large suitcase and a backpack. Will it be difficult to handle the luggage on these five trains. Will we have to be constantly on red alert for theft. I have already booked hotels in Milan and Chur, but can cancel. We are excited for the trains, but if it is going to be too stressful, we can fly to Paris. I value your opinion.

We just returned from a Viking cruise of the amazon. We went to the Boi Bomba show and really enjoyed it, however we were in the second row. You are in a large building with folding chairs. It is not a theater with seats rising towards the back, so I can understand your concern.

Just returned from HAL Zuiderdam cruise and used Your Day Tours for South Coast and Golden Circle. First day South Coast tour was awesome. Our driver Franklin did an fantastic job and we enjoyed the tour. Second day Golden Circle was horrible and extremely uncomfortable for 20 people because the vans air conditioning was not working. Passengers complained before we left Reykjavik that it was not working but our driver Ian said it would get better. Ian notified headquarters of the problem, but nothing was done. After lunch the temperature in the van reached 38 degrees C or 100 F, (according to gauge on the dash). People wanted to return to Reykjavik as quick as possible to get out of the stifling heat of the van. Outside the temp was 61 degrees F but the van only had one window (the drivers) that could be opened. Passengers asked for a new van but were told that was not possible. The problem is the company has no backup if your van has problems, so travel with them cautiously.

We booked an 8 hour Golden Circle tour with Your Day Tours for July 9th. Cost was $86/pp US. They will pick us up from the harbor. I found them recommended on this website and then checked with trip advisor. You must pre-pay but they have fair cancellation policies. Definitely cheaper than the cruise line.
