  1. Wondering how overnight works. Not sure if we will be tendering or docking. My question is is the gangway open all night? Is it different depending on docking or tendering? Thanks
  2. I’ve only done it once so by no means an expert. Flew from Detroit to Korea on delta, premium select seats. They were kind of like a lazy boy and had delta one food and drinks. The final flight was on Korean Air and we were in economy, but their economy is so much nicer than us economy. We just tried to sleep as much as possible on the flight. We’re in our mid 60’s and doing it again 2 years later, it’s worth it!
  3. We enjoyed our Adventure cruises. Loved the promenade. I guess my concern with Symphony is the ship feeling over crowded, wait times for dinner, finding seating at pools and bars. Concerns with independence is having fewer activities for our diverse age group.
  4. I’m planning a family cruise and comparing these 2 ships. Not exactly sure how many will be going in our group but know we’ll have 2 adults in 60’s, 3 in 30’s, a 5 year old and a 2 year old. What are pros and cons? The largest ship I have sailed on is Adventure. How do these ships compare? Are they more crowded, wait times for my time dining, etc. Not really too concerned with ports, more about ships. I also know this is all subjective but would like others opinions. Thanks
  5. We are booked on Celebrity, January 2025. 12 nights out of Bali, debarking in Singapore.
  6. I always buy alcohol on islands and happily hand it over to them when I board. Maybe it is confiscated, but to me that sounds like I’m trying to sneak it onboard when that’s not the case. I really would just like it to be delivered to me on my last night just like any other booze I purchase n an island. That’s all I’m asking, will it be delivered to my stateroom or will I never see it again?
  7. That’s what I am trying to find out. I know if I buy a bottle in the middle of the cruise they take and return it to me on the last night. Will the same thing happen if it’s the start of the cruise? I’m not trying to sneak booze on, I am hoping to buy some while in Puerto Rico prior to the cruise to take home. I will not have enough time after the cruise to make purchases.
  8. I really don’t want them confiscating but will turn them in.
  9. We will be departing from San Juan, but will spend a few weeks in Puerto Rico prior to the cruise. I understand that I can’t bring alcohol onboard but when I check in can I give them my bottle and have it delivered to my stateroom on the last night?
  10. Thanks everyone. I will keep my eye on prices and if I don’t get a sale it’s fine.
  11. Does Celebrity ever have sales on excursions? If yes, when do these happen? Also, if I book an excursion now and the price is reduced can I get the lower price?
  12. Exact same happened to me. Assigned 6101. I figured I took my chances on a guaranteed cabin. Now 2 weeks before sailing and I have been switched to 12149. Who knows, maybe I’ll have another change.
  13. I was under the impression that none were real balconies on Ascent. All I know is our p2 was the furthest front, deck 6 over the theater, and our c1 is midship deck 12. For me this location is an upgrade, plus I didn’t pay for it as I booked a guarantee veranda. I’m not real picky about the cabin I am in because I don’t spend any awake time there, lol.
  14. Very happy with new cabin. I went from a p2 to a c1!
  15. I reserved a guarantee veranda cabin and had my cabin number the day after I made my reservation, about 6 months before sailing. A couple weeks ago I was able to bid on move up, and I did, on 2 categories. Today when I looked at my reservation I noticed a different cabin assigned (much better), but I have not been charged on my credit card and my move up offers still say pending. (I actually canceled my bids, because my new cabin is great) My new cabin is not a category that I bid on. So, my question is did I hit the jackpot? Did the upgrade fairy come through?
  16. After reading this I am not sure if MTD is what I thought it was. In the past we just went to the dining room and were seated. Sometimes we had a 10-15 minute wait, but never anything longer. We never made reservations, do we need to do that now?
  17. This is what my reservation states: 1 x Shore Excursion Discount2 x 2 Meal Speciality Dining Package I get 2 people for 2 specialty meals, but what is the shore excursion? I booked directly so no travel agent to ask.
  18. One more clarification, sorry I am having such a hard time understanding this. Here is what my reservation says: 1 x Shore Excursion Discount 2 x 2 Meal Speciality Dining Package 2 x Internet Package (300 Minutes) 2 x UNLIMITED OPEN BAR PACKAG Does this mean we have 2 nights at specialty dining?
  19. Is the specialty dining for one dinner at any specialty restaurant? What about a la carte. Also, is the excursion credit $50/cabin/excursion or just 1 excursion? Thanks for the clarification.
  20. Just remember no matter where you are in Manila the traffic is bad, not just the airport. I just wanted to give you an example of what to expect in case you haven’t been before.
  21. I just spent a month in The Philippines. All you need is your passport and proof of vaccination. If you’re not vaccinated I am not sure what you need, but that is always changing. You can stay in Philippines for 30 days with no visa. Clark is a very new, nice airport. When going to Manila give yourself plenty of time, the traffic is terrible. It took my daughter 4 hours to go from near Angeles City to Manila airport. It’s around 60-70 miles.
  22. Any reviews for Therapy Charters? Or any suggestions for swimming/snorkeling with turtles. Would like to find a private tour or very small group tour.
